Ambiance is fine, it's a small shop so not my first choice for sit down with wife, but it's clean and friendly. Service is good and attentive but not annoyingly so. The food here is top-tier, absolutely excellent. It's clear why this place is so well reviewed. Unfortunately, the service completely missed the mark and took away from what could have been a great experience. We were seated right away since it wasn't busy, and things started off simple enough with bread and oil. We asked for parmesan to go with it, and our server seemed unsure how to respond, eventually bringing out packet parm even though fresh was clearly available. Not a huge deal, but we found it odd. A little later, we asked for more bread. The server told us they were out but, "that they could probably make more". . He relayed it to the woman handling bread, who then made more for another table and skipped us entirely. He mentioned it again to her when he saw us looking in their direction. she looked over, and still nothing. It was awkward, since the restaurant is the size of a closet. Once the pizza came, we got up ourselves to ask for more oil and parmesan, since our waiter hadn't come to check back. We got the oil instantly since we brought us the bowl, but no parmesan. At one point my son asked for bread, again, finally it came and the server literally tossed it on the table without a word. We said thank you and he completely ignored all of us. It didn't get any better from there. The bill was dropped on the table without a word either. My husband and I kept looking at each other with confused looks. We turned the bill in with our CC, and once the server returned it, same thing, not a single interaction. We also watched the same server make another table feel like an inconvenience over something as simple as asking for a bottle of Coke instead of a can. The customer ended up backing down just to avoid the hassle. The server then told the guest, "it's fine, I can get it for you!" On top of that, staff were wearing gloves while handling food, but also touching chairs, phones, and other surfaces; kind of defeats the purpose I think? My boys also had a weird interaction with a staff near the bathrooms who was very rude to them and accused them of cutting the line, despite no one waiting. It was very strange. Bottom line: the food is incredible, no question. But the service was so bad it's hard to ignore. Best advice, get it to go and skip the experience inside. read more

TL;DR: Still very authentic traditional Italian-style pies but quality has dropped over the last year or so. Still worth a visit! Came about a year ago and it was one of my favorites so had to come back and check! Glad to see the huge pizza oven is still going strong and the service staff was all friendly and welcoming! Ordered: - Caesar salad: decent flavor, greens weren't very fresh though (browning ends of lettuce) - Margherita DOP: unbeaten classic. More basil would have helped the balance but all in all still good - Diavola + Arugula + Calabrian chili: the added greens and chili made each bite just a little fresher. - Carne: as expected, there was a good amount of meat. Unfortunately, the amount of grease left the pie very soggy. Still good flavor. - Carbonara: Egg was a good add to flavor but the texture was very rubbery. Decent white pie but also sits very heavy compared to the others - Piccante: nice and spicy All in all, a good experience for pies in the Tucson area. Absolutely the best pizza I have had since moving to Tucson. The arugula salad was so amazing the first time I ordered it again with basil, croutons, tomatoes and their flavorful Caesar dressing. I got a slice of grandma and that is some good za. Huge slice and they put the fresh basil on the side so I enjoyed getting to put it where I wanted and it was a generous portion. The classic pepperoni is our go to, but we will often order a slice of something else or a personal pizza to compliment the large pepperoni! I wanted pizza and I have read good things about Fiamme. It was way out of my neighborhood, but I decided to make the trip (about 25 miles). I was very surprised at the "dining room" as it consisted of a few 2-person tables along the wall and a couple of multi-person tables next to the pizza oven and prep area. One server was there and she was pleasant but not real fast. The lunch special said 1 personal pizza, salad and drink for one price. It did not say it was for the margherita pizza only. I had to pay an upgrade charge for pepperoni and additional charge for a few mushrooms. There were only a couple of choices for a salad and I chose the Caesar. My salad was brought out first. Lettuce and cheese were very plentiful, dressing less so. It was okay. My pizza was pretty good, but not outstanding. There were a couple of burnt spots on the crust, but not a major deal. The drinks were canned sodas, no refills. It seems this place is expecting more take out business and not dine-in business. I don't do take out so I was a bit disappointed that the ambiance was that of a dark bar with no atmosphere. Overall, price was a bit high for what I got. $25+ inc. tax & tip with the zero ambiance. The one restroom is gender-neutral and not very inviting either. This is a place that I won't revisit. read more

We arrived here on a Sunday night. There are about 8 tables 6 two tops, a 4 top and a 6 top. When you arrive you will literally walk through the kitchen to be seated. That was a bit odd. Colas are served in cans at $4 each. Teas are $3 each. You do get a glass of ice. We started with single slices, I had the standard slice of pepperoni my son a margarita slice. Pepperoni was spicy, lots of cheese, however, the bottoms were both very black, an indication that the wood fire over needs to be "swept". For our main pie, we went with the carne, a meat lovers delight. The dough was light and airy, good sausage, light sauce but not too light, quite spicy. The only downfall, incredibly greasy in the underside, but then again it is all meat. It is a really weird vibe. We were sat so close to the kitchen that the staff was folding pizza boxes right next to our table. All in all a decent pie. A solid B-. I Likely would have graded higher if there were additional menu items such as a few pasta dishes and an option for refills on drinks. But the place just works. read more

I really want to like this place but I cannot. Have tried it several times. The sauce and toppings are wonderful. Big problem is that by the time I get it home (12 minutes). Made the trip from Vail, running errands to check the chew on this highly rated pie. Tucked in at the end of a Safeway corner mall off Swan, you'll find plenty of parking around. Narrow entryway leads to a hallway of tables for two and a couple of larger tables with a pie station in the front window and a galley kitchen in the back. It's frosty inside which is great for the cooks so grab a layer or 2, even the hubs was ashiver haha Our server was super, so polite, checked on us numerous times, and even offered us drinks to go for the trip home. The $15 Lunch Combo Special runs to 5PM daily, yes even weekends, and it can't be beat with ANY 9" pie + either Caesar, Caprese or Arugula salad + any of their soft drinks including San Pellegrino,Mexican Coke, Soda Cans & espresso/cappuccino but broken that day; we were trying to tame that in-house chill haha. Note that you get real metal cutlery and glass with ice to drink the soda cans, a much appreciated lovely upgrade to your dining experience over many a quick pie slice shop with plastic and paper cups. It definitely makes you relax, sit a while and enjoy the whole experience. Pizza crust is slightly charred black and bubbled, a great sign; it had a slight crisp but middle a bit under and kinda soggy. Prefer more sauce and for the sauce to be a bit more tomato forward and less cheese so sauce comes through. Ingredients were super fresh and the side salad was huge and lightly dressed with lemon vinaigrette, cherry t's, pine nuts & shaved parm ($$ ingredients). As Portland part-timers, we have an abundance of excellent pies to compare to, and so far Falora and Empire are our faves. We'll hit the Detroit deep slices soon. Fiamme is a tad far to check out again quickly but if running around the Foothills it will be on my radar to give it a go again and ask for more sauce, less cheese and to char it up, blistering it all over. Small place with a real pizza oven delivering real neapolitan style pizza...heck they even have a few 'certified' neapolitan style pizzas made the old world authentic way. We didn't have those. I wanted to 'real' pizzas, you know the type with red sauce, but they had what seemed like more pizzas with no red sauce so we tried one red and one not. The red sauce pizza was far superior. The other was good, just felt flat and blandish, I think a red sauce on this same pizza would have a punch from acidic nature of a red sauce. This is so unfortunate. Their pizza is the best in town but the service went down the drain. Me and my friend placed an online order around 5:15 pm yesterday and it said "will be ready in 30-45 min". Her husband went to pick it up around 6 pm, it was not ready and ended up waiting until 7 pm to pick up an order. When we call a restaurant, whoever answer the call (female employee) was rude and no apology. She stated "well we don't have a control over an online order". After talking to the hostess they lost my order multiple times even as I stood there waiting. because they just shout out the order to the cooks and hope that someone hears it. Was at Starbucks all morning with a friend and decided to walk in to grab some pizza to go. However, they had seating available immediately so we decided to stay. They sold both pizza's in whole as well as by the slice and were fairly priced for the portion. The only reason I docked the star is because they didn't ask if we wanted the Parmesan cheese before adding it. Personally, I thought it was delightful but the other one with us was not as pleased. I got the margarita pizza and it was fresh and hot, delicious really and they got cheese. I did try theirs and the cheese wasn't as good as the other but I still liked it. Though I'm not a picky pizza eater. That said, the quality of this Italian style really was amazing, and if you like this style I think you'll be pleased too! Really happy I decided to randomly try Fiamme today. Boyfriend and I went for lunch and we both ordered the 2 slice special with a drink. It did take bit for the pizza slices to come out but we realized they were making that pizza fresh right there for us. I didn't think that would be the case for just a couple slices of pizza but I will always happily wait for a fresh slice of pizza. The pizza itself was so yummy, love a good wood- fired pizza. Crust was perfect. Pepperonis were delish. The 2 slices of pizza were equivalent to half of a whole pizza and I'm thankful for that because now I have a snack for later. The restaurant itself was nothing fancy but I will pick this over an overpriced pizza place any day. Service was straightforward and we were greeted quickly. Eating out these days is always so expensive and I seem to always be disappointed with the quality of food especially for the price. Well not here! Prices are very fair and reasonable. Private Event Catering Review - Terrible and Disappointing We hired Fiamme Pizza for our September 2025 wedding, and the experience was a disaster. They arrived over two hours late, completely unprepared, and showed no accountability for their poor service. Leading up to the event, communication with the owner was great--but everything fell apart on the wedding day. Fiamme was scheduled to arrive at 4:00 pm to prepare pizzas, salad, bruschetta, and garlic bread. They didn't show until 6:15 pm, with no food prepped, even though dinner was set for 6:30 pm. Because they were so behind, our staff had to serve minimal portions of salad just to get something on guests' plates. Garlic bread followed, but pizzas and bruschetta were still nowhere near ready. By 8:30 pm, two tables still hadn't received any pizza, forcing our coordinator to order emergency pizzas from another restaurant. Yes, we ordered takeout from another pizza place while Fiamme was still there! To make matters worse, one of Fiamme's crew members tried to get drinks from our bartenders during service--completely unprofessional. After the wedding, we learned the owner had a family emergency, which we sympathize with. Still, the lack of preparation, late arrival, and failure to take responsibility afterward were unacceptable. When the owner's father finally contacted us days later, it was only to collect payment--not to apologize. I would strongly recommend avoiding Fiamme Pizza for any important event. read more

I was just informed this restaurant has no management. This was a terrible experience, I just waited a whole hour for a pizza I never received and the little girl, brunette with the snake bite piercings who is a hostess or something was rude to me from the moment I walked in. She lied about the time of my pick up and then took my ticket from the cook, so my order was missed and then when I asked for a refund if they weren't going to cook my order, she made no eye contact with me and then walked to the computer refunded my order and didn't even reassure the nice girl with glasses that she refunded me. I feel so bad for other employees. She was an actual mean spirited human. I didn't want to leave a review but I've never EVER been treated like that in a restaurant. read more

The recent abysmal failure of an order was a cheese pizza and the bruschetta. The pizza looked like someone cut it up and dragged their knuckles along the cheese to push it up to the crusts the pizza was ice cold too. The bread was stale for the bruschetta. Decisions were made and the order was sent out this way. Clearly, nobody cares in the kitchen. I'm not sure what's happening there but Fiamme went from amazing, to inconsistently good, to just consistently awful- and they raised their prices too.
