I have a feeling that a lot of the food is catered to the Boulder crowd and not quite authentic, but I'm a huge fan of Indian food and can recognize that this is great quality. Food is really good. We had the tandoori mixed plate (the Sauce on the side is divine). We also had the samosas (decent but not memorable). And lamb biryani which was really good as well. But the staff is really amazing. I have never seen such a caring, considerate and nice restaurant staff ever in my life. And I've been to most three Michelin star restaurants in the world. I strongly recommend it. I would go back just because of the nice staff. PS: they even gave us a small free dessert. What else can you ask for. read more

Beat Indian meal I've had in years!! The wait staff is attentive and courteous, the mulligatawny soup cannot be missed. I combined the lamb biryani work yogurt and chicken tikka masala and never looked back, just so delectable and savory. Also don't get more than medium. The food is pretty good! I think the pricing is a little high but I guess it's Boulder and everything is a little more than usual. I eat here for lunch a lot and their chicken tikka masala is pretty on point. I wish the garlic naan was a little more flavorful but nontetheless, the naan itself is very fresh and soft! Lunch buffet is legit! It's very reasonably priced for about $10. You get served some fresh, hot naan to go with whatever you pick up at the buffet too. Quality is about what you would expect for a buffet- not as good as it would be if it were made to order. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely go back. There were some tasty dessert options too- I had the mango custard and these sweet balls (haha) of what seemed to be fried dough in a sweet sauce. read more

I have tried a lot of Indian restaurants. Their food was not bad, but also not the greatest. I enjoyed the chicken vindaloo the most. Their chicken tika masala needed more flavor. Jaipur is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. It boasts by far the best Indian food in Colorado as well as wonderful service and friendly faces. I've tried almost every Indian restaurant in Boulder and Jaipur is by far the best. Very accommodating to dietary restrictions as well -- the vegan options are outstanding! The ambiance is perfect, food is served promptly and is delicious every time. The buffet is also a wonderful value, coming from someone who typically doesn't enjoy buffets. How does this place get good reviews? The staff and decor are nice, but the food ... on the first bite it was obvious that they just drop boiled chunks of rubbery, pre-cooked chicken into each dish immediately before serving, rather than cooking and simmering it in the curries and other sauces. The lamb naan tasted like an old mutton naan. The cheese naan was filled with sliced American cheese rather than paneer and gruyere. The tandoori was OK. It wasn't worth complaining (what would I say, "Your food isn't good"?), but I wouldn't go back. read more

Ive eaten the lunch special ($7.99) here today, i never care to write reviews, and the food is so good that it made me to write one Unlike many places, they had a wide range of collection for the lunch special, here is what they had 1. Appetizer - in our case it was samosa 2. A small veggie salad 3. Main Dish - You can select 2 curries out of the available 5 4. Rice 5. Naan (they gave us as many as we want) 6. Dessert The available 5 curries were: (Tandoori chicken, lamb curry, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, channa masala) I tried the saag and chicken tikka masala, both of them were very good, especially i liked the saag a lot :) Everything tasted excellent 5/5, the service was amazing!!!! 3 stars. Here's the deal... The staff is welcoming, pleasant, and communicative. Graciousness goes a long way in my book. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and is in an excellent location in Boulder. Now, the inevitable downside... I came into the restaurant because the restaurant had "vegan" signs in the front window, advertising that they had many options for people, like myself, who abstain from animal products for a plethora of reasons. When we asked the waiter, he was very kind and informed us that all of the dishes do have butter in them. (This may sound picky to most people, but to hardcore vegans and people like myself with dairy allergies, this felt very deflating. There was nothing on the menu or on the buffet table that my party could eat.) I appreciate the honesty of the staff for informing us, but please do not advertise "vegan" options when they are actually "vegetarian." There is a very distinct difference. read more

We tried the weekday lunch buffet for $8.99. All the dishes that I tried were good. The buffet had an excellent selection including fish, chicken and veggie options. The wait staff was attentive with the water glasses and brought out delicious hot naan to go with our meal. The food was all quite mild which may be a positive for some people and negative for others. The chicken tandoori was probably the standout item on the buffet in my opinion. It was moist and had a lot of great flavor. The mango pudding was also delicious. The interior was tastefully done and well kept. This is probably one of the best Indian buffets that I've been to in Colorado and certainly even rivals some of the best I've had in NYC. read more

If you're ever close to Pearl St. and get the sudden urge for Indian or anything spicy, this is the place to visit. We missed out on the buffet, but I was ok with that. I'm not a fan of anything buffet. Most Indian restaurants I frequent tend to be vegetarian. However, Jaipur has meat, veggie, and vegan options. The vegan dishes are on a separate menu that you'll have to ask for. I had the Malai Kofta which was amazing. Any time I see it on a menu, I can't resist. And OMG, the servings are huge! You'll have to loosen your belt afterwards. You definitely get your money's worth. Note: If you have a high tolerance for spicy food, then go one step up. I ordered my food spicy rather than mild and I found it closer to mild. Next time I'll have to go for their spiciest version. One down side is that service is rather slow. It took forever to get our waters, vegan menu, and refills of Naan bread. Although, I can disregard this due to the delicious food and friendly staff. read more

The food is amazing and the service is very attentive. I am glad they changed the lunch format to buffet instead of the original "set" meals or lunch specials. Their weekend buffet features outstanding goat curry, which is worth the 100 mile round trip for me :) They also have healthy options like brown rice on their lunch buffet. They have a few great local beers on tap. I know the cook and manager from their previous stints at other Indian restaurants (the now defunct Delhi Durbar and the Taj Mahal in Louisville respectively). These guys are committed to providing a great dining experience. I have eaten here about 3 times since they introduced the lunch buffet and will definitely be back. What made this visit worse than the average Indian buffet was the coughing, hacking, nose snorting Indian waiter who would continually make very loud, gross nasal snorts then spit in the trash behind the bar. In between these terrible guttural noises he was burping. This may be acceptable behavior in India, but I do not wish to pay to hear this while dining. Especially in Boulder where there are so many great alternatives. We arrived for their lunch buffet at 1:30 which is advertised to go until 2:30. Numerous of the buffet containers were empty. Myself and several other customers were bringing this to the attention of the waiters. Some fresh food was brought out within 20 minutes but what good does that do me? Sometimes I judge a restaurant by how good their leftovers are.. is that weird? Nevertheless, I enjoyed eating my Bombay Alu just as much the day after my visit as I did at Jaipur. Normally I prefer my Indian food in buffet form, but dinner here was worth a break from that habit. I would highly suggest their Vegetable Pakora and the Samosas to start. They are de-lish! And the main course with a medium spice has a nice kick to it. Bring some friends to order more dishes and SHARE! Is there any other way to eat Indian?! My personal favorite was the Alu Saag. Came here for dinner on a Friday night. Staff was very friendly and attentive, but a bit discombobulated. They seemed confused at times and brought us a couple things that we didn't order. Could have been the worst samosas I've ever had. The curries we got for the main course were okay. I was only in CO for a few days so I'm not sure what the standard is for Indian food there, but I'd like to think you can find better options. read more

This Indian restaurant is very authentic and delicious if you enjoy good Indian food. It is hard to find authentic Indian food in the states. My husband and I have taken takeout twice in the last week and half and the food hits the mark every time. We have not eaten in the restaurant since they made their renovations last year so we don't know what the eat in experience is like. I do know that you won't go wrong on the food. read more
