This is your typical hole in the wall restaurant. Upon walking in we seated ourselves and our server brought us menus immediately. My friend and I came here because we wanted a light lunch so we ordered the ceviche tostadas. The ceviche did not satisfy at all. It was very bland. The food at the other tables looked good so perhaps ceviche just isn't their forte. The prices were affordable and service is good. read more

Can not give this place enough stars. Very rarely have I had such authentic and fresh Mexican seafood in the US. It's harder to find than you think, even in Texas. Even after 1 visit I can tell this is going to be my all time favorite restaurants ever. The food was so good. Beyond belief. Words can't describe. This place is super touristy but don't let that discourage you from eating here. Starting off with the chips and salsa, you can tell they were made the very same day. I've been to plenty of other restaurants where you are served day old chips. It's more common than you think. We started off with some fish nugget appetizers. Never in my life have I had fish this fresh. So good when they know what they're doing. This place knows what good is. My group as a whole got some fried oysters, fried shrimp, a couple quesadillas and fajita plates, a huge fried mojarra, and a couple caldos de camarón. The menu was huge. They had just about every type of seafood you can think of. The fried oysters I had were some of the best I've ever had. Every restaurant should hold these as the standard. My father had a fried mojarra, basically it was a huge fried fish. Nothing special but delicious none the less. The shrimp caldo was super good too. Everything I had here was fresh and authentic and beyond belief delicious. Can't praise them enough. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be visiting here. Decided to try this restaurant close to the hotel. The food was good. I got Mahi tacos ( nice slice of grilled fish with slaw and quest fresco). Margaritas were tasty (we got watermelon and a strawberry/mango) but didn't feel a buzz. Wife got the ranchero fish, was very good. Both meals came with crab salad. She also got a shrimp cocktail that she says was great, not too hot and I thought it looked really full of shrimp! Kids enjoyed their fried fish and burger. We got queso and chips for an app and it was good. Only thing that got me was the total. Even discounting the drinks, we ate the next night for half the cost. read more

I had the fried shrimp. The crab salad was bomb on top of the shrimp. It had thick cut fries. My favorite! And the rice was good too. My parents had the tilapia fish. Thing was huge, I had a taste and it was juicy and well seasoned. They didn't have dessert options but overall this place was smacking! Eat the ceviche mixed. Soo good with some chips or tostadas. All you need is a beer and you'll be happy. If not just add some extra avacado.

WORST SERVICE EVER!! Omg We had to walt for a drink order and then when she got to our table for drink order she asks what are you eating! I was like ummm can we get a drink and order an appetizer! Then we got app and drinks and ordered and after we got our food We never saw her again! I finished my drink and had to go to register to ask for a water! Then after that she or no other waitress came by until I flagged one and ask for a to go plate! Well as we sat there we noticed that to if you asked for a cup or plate to take food they will charge you for it! Them they charge for limes and lemon slices! Food was plane tasting nothing to boost about! FIRST TIME HERE AND LAST TIME! OH WAIT... I forgot they never gave me a check of what I ordered! I paid 50 bucks for 1 appetizer, 2 meals and 2 drinks! Service was friendly and quick. Pricing is reasonable for fresh picks. Food was good but not great BUT it was all incredibly FRESH! The ambiance reminds me of the Marisco (seafood) restaurants in Mexico complete with cerveza and the Music overhead all on a makeshift looking boat of a place . It's sad that we are here on the coast and the sea food is so poor.I been in Corpus area for two years now and every restaurant that I been to it's really bad. The place is so small the waitstaff could barely maneuver around. They had a line not because it's packed up it's the limit on tables. I order the camarones a la diabla and let me tell you it's not good at all. For the price I was expecting jumbo shrimp, what I got was about 15 salad shrimp that were clearly not fresh it was just spice well not even that spice but with no flavor, my husband order the combination plate it was just fry food what else can I say. We could of just gone to long John silver and gotten that there for half the price. read more

I'm giving this place 3 stars because the beer was cold, the staff was friendly, and the food ok. We sat down to a half full restaurant so we figured food would come out fairly quick. Make no mistake, I didn't want fast food times...but having to wait 20+ minutes for raw oysters is a bit much. After that my wife ordered the fish tacos, and I the shrimp quesadillas. She loved them! I really enjoyed the quesadillas. The rice and beans were good, portions small but good. Again, we waited for almost 45 mins to get the main course. We arrived at 7p and left at 9p. That's a long time for just two people! I feel it was kind of pricey. ($82, tip included). The atmosphere is correct, the music was nice, staff friendly..and hey we didn't get sick!! I would go back and give them another shot...just hope they're quicker next time. read more

I met my Mom for lunch today. Service was given by a young lady with large white acrylic nails. Well, mostly, as a few were missing. I am a Nurse, so Blech. I ordered combo of 3 shrimp 3 oysters. I did not realize I was also getting a big pile of cold white rice, crinkle cut fries (frozen), and some lettuce with something I still havnt figured out what it was. Oh, let's not forget the lovely spoiled slice of lemon. Ugh. The oysters and shrimp were the only thing hot, they were ok. Not a fan of the shrimp breading, but edible. The oysters were good, but very small. Usually you will receive at least 1 extra to make up for this. For what I think was 13.99, I can't say it was worth it for the seafood only. I ate a few fries. I AM NOT A PICKY EATER, btw. Needless to say, I will not be returning. And too bad, because it's not that far from work. read more
