Can not give this place enough stars. Very rarely have I had such authentic and fresh Mexican seafood in the US. It's harder to find than you think, even in Texas. Even after 1 visit I can tell this is going to be my all time favorite restaurants ever. The food was so good. Beyond belief. Words can't describe. This place is super touristy but don't let that discourage you from eating here. Starting off with the chips and salsa, you can tell they were made the very same day. I've been to plenty of other restaurants where you are served day old chips. It's more common than you think. We started off with some fish nugget appetizers. Never in my life have I had fish this fresh. So good when they know what they're doing. This place knows what good is. My group as a whole got some fried oysters, fried shrimp, a couple quesadillas and fajita plates, a huge fried mojarra, and a couple caldos de camarón. The menu was huge. They had just about every type of seafood you can think of. The fried oysters I had were some of the best I've ever had. Every restaurant should hold these as the standard. My father had a fried mojarra, basically it was a huge fried fish. Nothing special but delicious none the less. The shrimp caldo was super good too. Everything I had here was fresh and authentic and beyond belief delicious. Can't praise them enough. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be visiting here. Fun touristy atmosphere in a rough neighborhood but worth the visit.

WORST SERVICE EVER!! Omg We had to walt for a drink order and then when she got to our table for drink order she asks what are you eating! I was like ummm can we get a drink and order an appetizer! Then we got app and drinks and ordered and after we got our food We never saw her again! I finished my drink and had to go to register to ask for a water! Then after that she or no other waitress came by until I flagged one and ask for a to go plate! Well as we sat there we noticed that to if you asked for a cup or plate to take food they will charge you for it! Them they charge for limes and lemon slices! Food was plane tasting nothing to boost about! FIRST TIME HERE AND LAST TIME! OH WAIT... I forgot they never gave me a check of what I ordered! I paid 50 bucks for 1 appetizer, 2 meals and 2 drinks! Hmmm wonder what Price was on food and drinks... PEOPLE DON'T BOTHER WASTING YOUR MONEY OR TIME AT THIS PLACE... IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE A HALF STAR I WOULD...

Service was friendly and quick. Pricing is reasonable for fresh picks. Food was good but not great BUT it was all incredibly FRESH! The ambiance reminds me of the Marisco (seafood) restaurants in Mexico complete with cerveza and the Music overhead all on a makeshift looking boat of a place . It's a great alternative to the everyday stuff around town if you don't mind Banda Music .

Eat the ceviche mixed. Soo good with some chips or tostadas. All you need is a beer and you'll be happy. If not just add some extra avacado.

I first fell in love with The Tipsy Kitchen when I had their White Chocolate Mistress about a couple of months ago. Y'all! Seriously! So good. It's like a shortbread cookie/brownie combo, some say cookie, some say brownie, I say it's just yummy. Anywho, it has a base of magic yummyness and a thin layer of a raspberry compote and it is topped with the thinnest of slivered almonds. When I have them, I eat it in the morning with coffee. It's the best. Now, running neck and neck for first place of best dessert ever against the White Chocolate Mistress, is the Guinness Car Bomb Cake. Y'ALL!!!!!!!! For Pity's sake! So darn good. Killing me. I do not know how they do it, but yeah.... they do it. It is some kind of baking sorcery. I'm almost certain of it. Their baked goods may be the star of the show, but their food is really good. I am not kidding. The burger and fries are so tasty. The burger actually comes with chips, but I ordered it with fries. HOWEVER, I can see why it comes with a bag of chips instead. After eating the burger, I had no room for the fries. I had pulled a pelican -- you know, where the pouch holds more than the belly can. Another thing they do very well is the home cooking. About a couple of weeks or so ago, I went to V to have a pint and a loungey chat with some friends and then the plan was for me to just go home, have my nightly yogurt and get ready for bed. Well, that didn't happen. When I got there, I met an old friend I hadn't seen in months, almost a year, and he kept banging on about the pot roast. Pot roast, pot roast, and I gave, I said, "What are you talking about?" He said, "The kitchen, tonight they have pot roast." Honestly, I thought they just had menu items. I didn't know they had SPECIALS. I checked into it and of course I left with a bag containing dinner for that night -- the aforementioned Pot Roast and a White Chocolate Mistress for the next morning. The Pot Roast was fork-tender. It just fell apart. The mashed potatoes were excellent, and I could have eaten a bowl full of the glazed carrots. Sometimes when people make glazed carrots, it's all sugar. It's nasty. These on the other hand were amazing, not overly sweet. The only thing I was slightly disappointed by was the fish and chips. But that's my own fault. I don't like beer battered anything. Beer batter is a hit and miss thing for me. Mostly miss. You have to have the oil screaming bloody murder hot for it to get at all the batter so that way there will not be doughy spots of uncooked batter. I've had the pretzel bites, the wings, the fries and home cooking and the desserts, I can honestly say, aside from the beer batter, I have not tasted a misstep from anyone in that kitchen. It's just really, really good. Why aren't you there already?

The Gold Fish has proven this long-held collective pessimism wrong. Originally a cocktail bar only, it has now expanded into a cocktail, beer and wine outdoor/indoor bar, which makes complete sense given the city's demographic demands. It was actually one of the first businesses I was most concerned with us losing permanently during the pandemic. And I am so glad they have stuck around! It is a modern cocktail bar at its core, which makes it very unique to this city. This is an obvious adoption of cocktail bar trends from other larger cities in Texas. It is very nice, with a wide array of adult beverage options for discriminating consumers to chose from. The atmosphere is perfect, and the bartenders and staff are top-notch and super nice (the attitude is refreshing compared to what one may be used to recieving from such establishments in larger cities). I usually only come here when I have company from out-of-town, as I do not go out for drinks very often. At my most recent visit, I had just experienced a personal tragedy that I only briefly alluded to our bartender when she asked how our day was going. The amount of sincere compassion we received was not expected at all. My only regret is that I did not get her name, or else I would have gladly included it in this review.

Incredibly attentive (by default) he was great at answering our questions and making recommendations. I tried out the Balacera - boasting both mezcal and absinthe, two widely hated spirits on their own which had the potential to make it disgusting...and it was fantastic! Super unique and refreshing on the particularly muggy day. We also ordered a cherry vodka soda, which came topped with homemade maraschinos and juice, which was equally tasty. We also tried out a gin daisy and ghost of greyhound (a nod to the location previously being a bus station, hence, the BUS moniker). The gin daisy was a little too heavy on aperol for my tastes, but the ghost was another hit. It was great to see a specialty menu of drink combinations you don't often find. We didn't stick around for food, but couldn't help but take in the cute decorations and details both inside and out. A fun addition to the widening "trendification" of downtown Corpus.
