What happened to their burgers. Two weeks ago the double cheeseburger burger had two big juicy patties that made for a very tasty burger. Today, the two thinnest patties that were over cooked to the point there was no juice, resulting diminished flavor. Why do restaurants go out of their way to make customers leave? When I spend $70 for 3 burgers, 1 loaded fry, and 2 onion rings, it better be damn good. This was my last visit to Jakes. read more

How many times can I endure tried again after looking at web site which says during happy hour enjoy or wide variety of beer at happy hour price. Not true and bartender doesn't tell you it only applies to certain beers. Too many times here with this kind of stuff no wonder parking lot hardly ever has any cars in it. Good places tell you what is on happy hour menu. When questioned bartender on this they had to go get black book folder to look up what is.covered. Might sound crazy but true. read more

The visit started off with the waiter telling us how terrible the burgers are here. Odd but we just tried to ignore it. We asked for chips and queso to which he told us the queso was nasty. Ok? So then comes time to order. Every single thing we order he says are you sure you want that? It comes time for my 8 year old to order and she asks for Mac and cheese he says what side she says none. But he gets rude and tells her open the menu and pick a side I'll wait! So I say fries will be fine. He looks at me looks at her again and says it's your food now pick. That was it for me I said f***ing fries! Our food comes we are trying to at and he comes back and starts cleaning the table as we are eating, Ben using his finger tip to pick up bits of salt! I'm not stuck up or picking I eat at some Dumps trust me! But this was crazy! Went in for lunch after church today at 1:15. We were seated promptly and asked if we wanted drinks. When it came time to order, we wanted brunch food. We were told that brunch ends at 1:00. 1:00?!!! The waitress went and asked if the cooks would still do it and they affirmed. We placed our order and I wanted the Eggs Benedict. Then she came back and said they had no ham. I had to get the menu again and decided on a Turkey Burger. She came back and said they have no Turkey. What?!! What kind of operation is this. I settled on a grilled chicken sandwich. My husband had the migas and he said they were disappointing. My mother (91 years old) had a kid's hamburger and they charged 20₵ for lettuce and 20₵ for tomatoes. As we sat there, I noticed the manager standing idly around, not doing much and seeming uninterested in what was going on in the restaurant. Most likely will not be back to this location. read more

Forget those snotty reviews. I'm kind of a snotty, reviewer myself. My husband brought me one of these hamburgers back to the house. So good I cannot imagine how much better it would have been if I had actually gone to the location. Both sides of the buns have poppyseeds, the cheese is outrageously abundant.
