Spicy pickles were great, though. Cashier was rude, taking my tray back to meat cutter to tell him the ribs were "too large." She then brought my food back and told me I was a "very lucky guy." Mebbe so, but I won't be back. Bottom line, the food was not near good enough for me to overlook the rude treatment. Lanes Oakd definitely smelled better than it tasted. Upon arrival, the BBQ scent oozed out of the building, which got me excited. We ordered about 2.5 lbs of meat. Ribs, Brisket, and burnt ends. The ribs were tough, the brisket was fatty, and the burnt ends (which I liked best) were dry. We came in planning to watch World Cup games, TVs are small, low energy. 10/25/25: This was our first visit. We looked for BBQ restaurants near our hotel and came across this one. The restaurant was pretty big, plenty of seating areas and very clean. We sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly, and he was pretty busy. The bar was pretty well stocked. There were plenty of TV's throughout. They have a daily Happy Hour from 4-7pm. My wife had a blackberry mule and I had a draft beer. Her drink was pretty good and my beer was ice cold. Our order didn't take very long to arrive, and the food was pretty good. After you eat, you can drop off your tray at the trash station. The bathrooms were ok. There was plenty of parking outside. read more

The food at Lane's Oak'd BBQ is excellent, and that's the only reason we've continued ordering from them. We usually do takeout, but this was the first time I went in to pick up an order myself, and the experience was disappointing. The customer service was poor, especially from who appeared to be the manager or owner. As a Hispanic customer, I felt unwelcome and got the impression that I wasn't wanted there. The attitude and treatment I received made me uncomfortable enough that, had I not already paid for my order, I would have canceled it and left. It's unfortunate because the food is genuinely amazing, but the atmosphere and customer service do not match the quality of the BBQ. Great food can only make up for so much. I hope management takes customer service more seriously and treats every customer with the same level of respect and hospitality. read more

Really solid bbq! We stopped in before Kaboomtown just before the show started. The place is casual and slightly confusing when you walk in but there's a lit sign that says 'Line Starts Here' - you go in that door to order! Husband said the staff were really helpful ordering and made sure he had what he needed! I didn't get pictures of the meats (rushing) but they were truly solid, the really good flavor was on only top but the meats were smoky and tender throughout. Sides were good, desserts were absolutely delicious. The Texas Twinkies were really good too! We had two - one that seemed hot but another that nearly burned your face off so proceed with caution and enjoy! It's definitely worth a try if you're in the area. read more

I found myself driving to Addison, TX., to meet a friend for dinner. We decided to meet at Lane's Oak'D BBQ, and this was the first time for us both. When I arrived there, I saw my friend already had a table for us as it was sit your self type bbq restaurant. The atmosphere is mostly quiet some music but not too loud and we could hold a nice conversation in normal indoor speaking voice. What I noticed that it has indoor/outdoor seating area. Both sitting areas are well organized, neat in appearance and very clean it boasts a bar and plenty of sitting space. The staff at this establishment were all friendly ready and egear to help. Mr. Alexis, was the server and he handle the cutting knife like a surgeon and with percise cuts. He was very polite and very friendly and made great suggestions for plates to order. Our cashier was Ms. Penny, who was very friendly polite and very welcoming and was ready to serve. I ordered one (2) meat plate wagyu brisket, for $23.99 with potato salad, and coleslaw, for $4.00, regular house fries, for $5.50 1 each can of dr. pepper/sprite @ $2.50 each. The house fries were hot, well seasoned, not crispy but very tasty. The coleslaw was very delicious, crunchy and very tasty, the potato salad was none like I ever had before and very delicious. The wagyu brisket was so tender, juicy, but to me it lacked a little salt. But over all I was highly impressed with Oak'D BBQ, the service was awesome, the food was delicious and I was highly satisfied. If I am ever in this neck of the woods I will come again. read more

Went to the other location first, but they just closed (at 9pm) when we arrived, so they directed us to go to Lane's Oak'd Bbq. It was a little far out of our way and late, but it was all worth it. The sausage, the ribs, the brisket, out of this world! Beautifully and deliciously smoked to perfection. Finger licking good! The sides we had, beans and coleslaw tasted deliciously unique. Found this BBQ spot on Yelp of course after searching for dinner place that was still open. So impressed by the BBQ here! I got a 3 meat plate that had their Wagyu Brisket, Duroc Pork Spare Ribs, and Duroc Pork Butt. Everything was super flavorful, smoked perfectly, and meltingly tender. Went there on a Tuesday afternoon with my lady. We both ordered brisket and pulled pork. After starting our meal we both became aware that the meat was tough and chewy. She mentioned it to me and I agreed, it was almost inedible. We flagged an employee and told him about it. He went to the man who cut and served the meat and we expected a refund or a comp but neither happened. The meat must have been from the day before or poorly cooked because it was totally too chewy to eat. We were both surprised because of their good reviews but I couldn't recommend this restaurant at all. We paid $ 60.00 for a very poor experience. I visited here recently in a trip to Dallas. It was a Thursday night so it wasn't too busy. The restaurant is sort of like a cafeteria with a large menu at the front of the line and you walk along the counter picking which foods you want. I ordered the Wagyu brisket sandwich with mac& cheese and potato salad side dishes. The meat was literally melting in my mouth and it was cooked to perfection. The mac & cheese was also good, however, since it was sitting out it was not very hot. It was more on the lukewarm side. The potato salad was your standard potato salad but it was not bland at all. Coming from NYC, the price did not seem bad but from my friend, who is a local, said it was expensive for the area. Overall, I would recommend this place for an excellent Texan BBQ meal. read more

My husband and I have been eagerly awaiting the opening of Oak'd and were thrilled to finally see the "Now Open" banner. We visited the second day of being opened (I told you, we were excited) and found our visit very enjoyable. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Akin to traditional BBQ joints, you order down a serving line with quick, kind service. We got the 3 meat plate (ribs, garlic pepper sausage, and brisket) with baked beans, potato salad and a large side of Mac 'n cheese. The ribs were really good and flavorful while the brisket was a bit fatty (likely on us as we didn't as for lean). The sausage was great (not spicy, a victory for this tame pallet of mine), slightly dry until dipped into the BBQ sauce. Loved the mac, just cheesy enough without being too rich and a nice flavor. To me, the beans had a kick but the husband enjoyed them along with his potato salad. They have great happy hour food and drink specials to go with their indoor/outdoor bar. There's also ample outdoor seating that will be perfect this fall. Let's just hope for NFL Sunday ticket so we can all post up here! read more

Ambiance was the best thing about this place and it was cool. But the food was some of the worst bbq I've had in a while. Ordered a 3 meat plate that consisted of moist brisket, jalapeño and cheese sausage and ribs. Brisket was moist but had no flavor and very little color past the bark. Ribs were super tough and again no rub or not much of one at least. Ribs also did not have much meat on the bone so kind of felt cheated there. Sausage was ok, a little above average and the best thing on my plate. Beans were ok, having carrots in them was hard to get past but tasted fine. Mac and cheese was really good. All in all I won't be back. Lunch was $42 with tip and a drink for the 3 meat plate and none of it would I order again. Ok folks, this is so good! Bbq is typically pricey but I felt it was pretty darn reasonable as bbq goes. Gluten and celiac options so that is nice. The cheese potato fries with wagu beef...big serving and SO good! Red potato salad was creamy perfection. Loved the pork ribs...my favorite! Beef ribs thick and tender, even loved the pickle selection. James came by our table, so nice and made sure we were happy with our selections as well as took time to answer questions and tell us how things were prepared and what we should try next time. Extremely disappointed. Have been here 20+ times and usually this place is pretty good. They had a new butcher that was clearly training cutting and plating. Usually a $30 meat plate feeds the 2 of us and there is still lots of leftovers to bring to my puppy. Today, the portion size was SO SMALL that it didn't even make us full. Service has been so slow too recently, food is cold by the time you get to the table. Instead of complaining in person, I'll go get the rest of my lunch somewhere else and leave this review. I got there 11:30 not a big line. I really like the layout here. The outside looks great. The inside looks even better .I got the two meat plate I had 2 very thin slices of turkey and brisket was the bark of the fat no meat. The potato salad was OK and the macaroni cheese was OK also. I tried their barbecue sauce was not a fan. I seen people getting barbecue sandwiches and it looked very delicious. I will try that next time. read more

My daughter wanted to have dinner here since it's directly across from the hotel where she was staying. When you walk in there's a counter to the immediate left that we assumed was a host stand. Directly across on the right is a bar. Fortunately the bartender greeted us right away seeing that we were waiting for someone to come seat us. He asked if it was our first time in. We told him yes and he pointed to the menu written on the wall. You go inside a door to a cafeteria line set up and place your order. We both ordered burnt ends. My daughter had mac and cheese for her side. I was pretty excited to see Brussels sprouts on the menu so I ordered those. The burnt ends were chunkier than I'm accustomed to and I prefer grilled Brussels sprouts to the way they're prepared here. I would definitely try a different meat and sides next time. My fries came out completely wrong, which i made clear when i ordered them what i wanted, I just wanted queso and jalapeños, and it came with everything on them. I told the cashier, and her response was, " they already made them." I ordered a hamburger to go, I was handed a vibrating device that never vibrated.
