5 stars all day. Stopped in on a Saturday around 3pm and found out they do Happy Hour from 3-6pm with half off all signature cocktails, which already makes this place a win. But the food completely stole the show. The fried oysters were incredible, and whatever sauce they put on them was absolutely mind blowing. One of those dishes you keep talking about after you leave. The salmon dip was another standout and seriously addictive. Great atmosphere, great drinks, and great food. I ordered half dozen oysters on the half shell. They were fresh and tasty. For my main course I had the Prime rib sandwhich & fries. DELICIOUS. Place was absolutely delicious. From the service to the coursing of the food everything was perfect. Tried the mussels and the wedge to start. Wedge's home made blue cheese dressing is so good. Generous salad portion. Mussel dish was my favorite. The broth that it comes with has chorizo, guindilla peppers and overall addicting. Entrees we tried the branzino and the octopus. Octopus was awesome but it needed a squeeze of lemon. Her branzino with clams and couscous was perfect. Ambiance is lively and chill at the same time. Really cool inside. The afogato with the pistachio gelato was honestly probably one the best desserts I've had. Jazmine was our server. Have been wanting to try Even Coast for a while after reading the reviews. The atmosphere is modern and fun. Our server was friendly, but a bit slow. It took forever to get drinks and salads. The Caesar and wedge salads were very tasty and large portions. We tried a variety of dishes. The redfish was good and seasoned well, as well as the hanger steak. The lamb chops were good but a bit overcooked and a bit fatty. The filet was seasoned nicely but had to be sent back as it was very rare. The mashed potatoes could have used a bit of salt, as well. A little late on the updated review but we visited here for a Valentine's dinner and the vibes were just as good as last time! Finally got to try their Earl Grey martini and it was way more citrus forward, nothing like the actual Earl Grey I was expecting but I still really liked it since I like citrus cocktails! Highly recommend the steak tartare but would've passed on the yellowtail crudo (esp if you frequent sushi restaurants often) The mafalde pasta was delicious and flavorful, great for non seafood eaters. Everytime I've been to even coast I've absolutely loved my experience and I've been here a lot! But we went for Valentine's Day dinner and I was so so soooo disappointed. Not only was the set menu pricey (which is understandable) but the service, the food, the drinks, the dessert, everything was subpar.. and left us not wanting to go back again. We had reservations for Valentine's Day at 7:15pm but didn't get seated until 7:30pm and our server didn't come to our table until 10 min later. I get it's busy but service just seemed extra slow. The hamachi crudo and tagliatelle was very good as I remembered but the main dish and the dessert was not great. Especially the dessert choice was limited and it was so bad?? I remember every other time we've been here and gotten dessert it was so good!! I just feel like Valentine's Day was a money grab and they didn't care too much about the quality I don't know. Also, is it just me or adding a "dirty" fee to a martini a thing?? I have never seen this done at a restaurant and I'm pretty sure I've gotten dirty martini here before too without the extra charge. Our dinner was already ~$370 for 2 of us so the "dirty" fee for our martinis was nothing compared to our bill, but it definitely left a sour taste... but adding $3 each to make it our martinis "dirty" seems off.. just charge $19 for the martini and we would have been totally fine. We didn't ask for extra olives or special olives, it's literally just some extra olive juice splashed in our drink hahaha I just hate these "hidden" costs that restaurants add out of nowhere. In the Addison area for a business lunch we decided on Even Coast. Addison itself has an abundance of great restaurants and not having dined at Even Coast i was excited for a new restaurant to try The restaurant has been open approximately a year. The inside has high ceilings, expensive gold and metal finishes , an open kitchen and a large bar for plenty of socializing For lunch I had the chopped wedge with blackened shrimp. Throwing a special request to blacken the shrimp raised no issues with the kitchen which is always a good sign of a restaurant willing to make it the way you want The salad was fresh with a full head of iceberg cut in half , plenty of cherry tomatoes, lardons, picked red onions, blue cheese crumbles and the signature buttermilk ranch I dont typically brag on a salad but this one needs mentioning. Everything was fresh, portion was large and even it's presentation was outstanding! Finally service was friendly , professional and efficient. I enjoyed the elevated atmosphere and personable service here, but the food was unfortunately underwhelming especially given the high price point. Based on the waiter's recommendations, we got the creste de gallo and bucatini for our mains. Both dishes were excessively lemon-forward, which felt off-putting in a pasta dish. I wondered if the acidity was meant to disguise any stale seafood. I was also not impressed with the tiny shrimp in my dish, especially given that seafood should be the star of the show here. I think the additional spice in the creste de gallo also made it slightly more palatable than the bucatini. The portions were also kind of small. We decided to split a warm orange olive oil cake for dessert. It was more like room temperature and the orange notes were hardly noticeable. It was at least good to split between two people though. We didn't have food at home so we looked this place up at Resy. We were surprised how classy the vibe was coming in there. We weren't expecting it for a quick lunch. So do come dressed decent when coming here. It wasn't busy when we came. It was 3pm on a Sunday and we were promptly greeted and seated. We got the no-groni since I couldn't have alcohol and it's delish! I got the mushroom tagliatelle and it was divine. The flavor was just right, no need to add any more cheese or pepper since it was perfect the way it is. My husband even said it's one of the best pastas he had and he doesn't say that a lot to many pasta dishes. Since I am pregnant, I couldn't finish it so I took half of the dish home. Foodie Alert! I had the chance to dine at this cute, upscale seafood/steakhouse in the Addison, TX area. The entire restaurant was such a vibe. We received great customer service. My friend and I ordered the salmon dip, calamari, and the Red fish. For my drink, I ordered a extra dirty martini with blue cheese olives. The salmon dip and calamari were just okay. I wasn't a fan of the calamari's dipping sauces, but it could just be me. But the STAR of the show was definitely the Red fish. It was so flavorful, with a nice red sauce and andouille sausage served over a bed of rice. I had enough for leftovers to take home, and it heated up even better the next day. We had date night here tonight and I can confidently say that Even Coast is now one of our favorite restaurants in Addison. Since it was a Tuesday we were seated pretty quickly after we got there. Their dress code is reasonable so we were able to come in wearing jeans and casual tops/t shirts and tennis shoes. The music level was quiet but you could still easily hear it.l, which made for a good ambiance. Our server was with us fairly quickly and took our drink orders, and my bf got a Manhattan and I opted for the White Negroni (my favorite cocktail). The drinks were very well balanced! We chose the buffalo milk burrata as our appetizer and it was so good we were fighting over the last few bites lol For main courses I got the branzino and my bf got the Texas fish, and they were both very good. The portion sizes were adequate and the flavors were unique and harmonious. Our server came by to check on us a decent amount and joke around a little bit, which we appreciated. We ended the night with the olive oil cake with hazelnut gelato and cleaned that plate as well. Not a grain left behind! Highly recommend this spot! read more

Additionally, the waitress did not offer salt or pepper, though she did ask me to confirm the doneness when I ordered medium-rare. Unfortunately, the first steak arrived well-done, and the replacement came out undercooked (almost rare). The plate was very hot, so I ended up using the heat of the plate to finish cooking the steak myself. The cocktails were well-balanced, and the side dishes--especially the Brussels sprouts and mushrooms--were excellent. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant for steak or lamb chops based on my experience. I met a friend a fellow elite all star yelper at Even Coast. She had been there before and suggested it for happy hour. I hadn't been there and was excited to try a new spot. Upon arriving, I was shocked that there wasn't much parking. Most of the parking was reserved for valet. I did find a spot that was a long walk and also arrived around 4:30, which was early. The ambience of the restaurant was excellent. The entrance, outside patio area, bar area, and dinner area were all high end and very nice. The restaurant decor is exquisite and very impressive. I started out with a cocktail. I decided to get the Vesper after the suggestion from our waiter. It was very strong vodka and gin. I liked the drink. The service was ok. We had many different waiters and waitresses throughout the evening. We had a hard time getting service in the area where we were seated. We had bartenders making drinks and serving our table and really it was too much. We decided to try the cheeseburger and salmon dip on the happy hour menu. We also got pickles on the side. The cheeseburger was a 5 out of 5. It was excellent. It was very tasty, well seasoned, juicy, delicious. Th salmon dip was terrible. I asked for salt and pepper to see if that would help and honestly it didn't. It was a 0 out of 5. I would honestly suggest a new recipe or be taken off the menu. I met up with a fellow yelper for happy hour. She has never been to Even Coast and wanted to visit. I myself have been multiple times and enjoy Even Coast so I was up for the challenge of yelping! This visit wasn't as good. Several things lacked in service and also with the food. I will give more information further down in my review. Let me start with the GOOD! The happy hour deal for the cheeseburger is GREAT! The burger is really good and very juicy, it's flavorful, seasoned and cooked to perfection. It's like a fresh Big Mac, but better and fancier. I love that the burger is not dry or overcooked. I get extra pickles and it's just a hit! 5 STARS My cocktail the Sultry Passion has potential. It needs a little more passion fruit in it. That's one of the ingredients, but I didn't taste much. 3.5 STARS THE BAD-Salmon Dip is awful, just blah and so bland. It looks amazing and the presentation is great. The recipe needs HELP. We had to add a little salt and pepper to try and eat some of it. 1 STAR THE UGLY- service was lacking and lack luster. It started off well in the lounge. However, we were neglected during our visit. One of the bartenders was our waiter. He was pleasant and attentive at first. Once it became BUSY he never came back. After 25 minutes I had to ask another server to go get him. So maybe a designated server needs to take over the lounge. 2 STARS Overall the cheeseburger saved this visit. It was the best part of the evening. I am hoping on my next visit it goes smoothly. My wife and I visited Even Coast to use our Amex Platinum Resy credit for Q3. We went with no expectations and were satisfyingly shocked at how good everything was. The interior of the restaurant is lovely and exceptionally well decorated. The kitchen was visible and the decor contemporary yet welcoming. I was thoroughly impressed by our server, Brie. She was patient when I asked to see the bottle of wine that they were serving by the glass, was attentive and performed her duties with finesse. The food also surpassed expectations, with every dish being above average or excellent. I was surprised to learn they have their own pastry chef on staff, which was evident in the quality of the desserts we ordered. Our visit to Even Coast was nothing short of phenomenal, from the moment we entered the restaurant. The ambiance was inviting and our waitress Madison delivered EXCEPTIONAL service throughout the evening. We started with the jumbo lump crab as an appetizer. It was more of a dip that was wrapped in lettuce & bursting with flavor. The dip consisted of charred sweet corn, avocado, tarragon, campari tomatoes, Louie sauce & seasoned saltine crackers (refer to my photo). We placed the dip in the wrapped lettuce and tried it on the crackers. Both tasted amazing. This dip was light and fresh. We enjoyed it so much that we placed an order to go. For dinner, hubby ordered the lightly blackened red fish with andouille sausage, rice, creole sauce and chile oil. He raved about his meal the entire night. I ordered the bucatini pasta which was filled with lump crab, Parmesan cheese, lemon and garlic crumbs. As a lover of cheese, lemon and garlic, this dish definitely hit the spot. It was the best pasta dish I've ever eaten. Since we were celebrating hubby's major business milestone.....closing the biggest deal of his companies history, they surprised him with a complimentary bowl of sherbet, which he loved. For drinks we had the Macallan 21 and lemon drop martinis. The pours were decent enough to where we can confidently rate this experience a 5/5 for service, food, drinks & ambiance. It was a great dining experience from beginning to end. We will return next week to try the burgers as highly recommended by our amazing waitress Madison. Even Coast is a beautiful restaurant with great atmosphere. The service was fairly good. I had high expectations simply due to the fact that it was so busy, but unfortunately they were net met. While every dish was plated beautifully, the flavor was average. The calamari was cooked perfectly, but it was flavorless and half broccolini- disappointing. The salmon dip was quite good. For entrees we ordered crab bucatini (rich and creamy with large chunks of crab) and the redfish (passable). I may give Even Coast another chance to meet my expectations. read more

We started out with some calamari and the tuna appetizer. We were pleasantly surprised that the tuna had a kick due to the chilis and this place wasn't afraid of spice. Dipping sauce for the calamari was delightful. For our entrees, we ordered two pastas to share, one was a lump crab (I think linguine?) pasta with a rich buttery sauce. The other was a shrimp pasta with a zesty sauce and elbow macaroni pasta. Both absolutely delicious. I also had a glass of pinot gris with it as well. Very delicious, upscale dining and great for dates or other special occasions. We started off with tuna carpaccio, beef tartare and yellowtail crudo (our fave out of 3). Tuna carpaccio was excellent but could use a pinch of salt and a bit of acidity. Main course we tried the scallops, Chilean salmon and lobster tornnanelli pasta. The lobster pasta was probably the best pasta we've ever eaten. We had to refrain from licking the plate! This remains my favorite restaurant in Dallas. I think I've tried at least 60% of the menu and everything is consistently fresh, outstanding flavors and beautifully presented. The scallops are the best I've ever had and I'm glad to see they are now on the menu instead of a special. Also the cornmeal dusted oysters are perfectly fried and combined with the baby spinach is just pure heaven! My other favorite entree is the Texas redfish. I have a couple of places around town that have never failed me over years of dining. I hope I get to build that same relationship here. It was happenstance ending up here today. We pulled into our intended destination and it was closed. Well,it's been awhile since I've used Yelp in an infrequently visited part of town. As you enter and approach the Maitre d stand, taking in the first glimpse of the restaurant is reassuring. It's obviously well designed and constructed . Not a huge cavernous ,characterless space as many new restaurants are,Even Coast is gorgeous without being ostentatious. Service is perfectly paced. Taking your seat,you don't want to be bothered while taking in the initial " look around". Encircled in floor to ceiling windows you realize the patio seating is where you sit next time. Wait,Next time? I haven't even looked at the menu yet. Ah yes,the menu. Steaks,seafood and pasta. Get ready for difficult decisions because there are a number of tantalizing choices. We started with perfectly prepared adult beverages. The waiters timing was impeccable and he showed up just in time for me to order the shrimp cocktail and cornmeal dusted oysters. Both of these were excellent and I've got a say ,the oysters were absolutely perfect. Moving on to entrees,again with perfect timing by the waiter,I surprised myself by ordering the bucatini. Anytime there are steaks prominently featured,that's where I usually go. My dinning companion chose the blackened redfish tacos from the lunch offerings. Both entrees were superb. My go to for dinner is the burger not only is massive but so so tasty with show The Creste de Gallo pasta is made with a spicy Calabrian chile vodka sauce, wow too good. And when I want something light, the wedge salad with the hanger steak is chefs kiss. Everyone that works here is so kind and attentive. My husband took me to Even Coast for my birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! They have valet so that made it easy to leave our car and walk into the restaurant for our reservation. It was a Saturday night and the bar area was jumping and the tables inside were full as well. We were seated right away. Our server Mauricio L. brought over a postcard that the staff signed for my birthday which was a cool touch. I started off with an Earl Grey Marteani because I can't pass up a cocktail with egg white in it. The flavors were amazing and worked in a beautifully harmony with each sip. So much so that I didn't opt for a different cocktail, I had two of those. My husband had the old fashioned which is a classic and it was made pr For starters we went with the chilled jumbo shrimp and cornmeal dusted oysters. The shrimp were very good. Let's get into the cornmeal dusted oysters because they were the star of the appetizers. The spinach underneath along with the bearnise sauce paired well with the fried to perfection oyster! We contemplated order a second round but wanted to save room for dinner. I had the Bucatini with Lump Crab, Parmesan Cream, Lemon, Garlic Crumb. Their pasta is made fresh daily and the dish was creamy and delicious. My husband had the Texas Redfish which was saucy and poked to perfection from the bite I tasted. We both truly enjoyed our meals. A nice touch in the bathroom is that they have mouthwash and little cups for it as well. It's the small details that have a big impact. Update: Finally came here with my best friend and we loved it! Vibes are similar to Hudson House but elevated. I think the food tastes better, too. I was really looking forward to trying Even Coast. So much so that I placed a reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary here. It was a bummer...the dining experience, not the anniversary. We booked a reservation for the atrium. The placed was packed and we were told we would have to wait even though we were on time for our reservation. Well, we waited over 15 minutes before we were seated, and ultimately we were seated in the dining room, not the atrium. The overall dinner was not quite where my expectations were. A few let downs were: small non-alcoholic beverage assortment. They had a few zero proof drinks, but I was hoping for a more fruity assortment of options. I ordered lemonade and it think it was Country Time. It definitely was not something fresh. At this level you would think it would be real lemonade. Another let down, and maybe I'm just being overly sensitive about this, but when I booked the reservation it asked if we were celebrating something special. I put that it was our wedding anniversary. We were presented with a nice card signed by the staff. But, someone wrote HBD as a message on the card. Okay, that just made me envision a line of employees signing cards with no intention or interest in what they are signing. It cheapened the occasion. The food was good, but didn't feel like 5 star territory. The Yellowtail Crudo was nice, but the value didn't seem there. At $22 it felt more like a $17 effort. The Buccatini was alright, but could've been better. It didn't have any thing that made it stand out. Everything listed on the menu description of this dish was up my alley. It just didn't deliver on the expectations. At this point we skipped dessert because we had had enough. The restaurant was super-busy and loud, so while the place was hopping, it felt like we were moving through like cattle. I see all the positive reviews (which is why we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary here) but it was definitely an off experience. I would be open to trying them again, but not on a weekend. Gorgeous interior. Outside seating is available but we sat inside. I looked at the drinks menu but had a long drive back home so I didn't get to try anything but boy does their signature cocktails menu look sooOoO good. I had the Texas Redfish which comes with andoullie sausage, basmati rice, and this fantastic rich creole sauce. Everyone's plates looked beautiful. I really would like to fo back and try the lamb chops or the Donatello pasta. Lovely place with lovely and attentive service. It does get crowded and parking is a problem on the weekend evenings. Food Sucked...really? Seemed like everyone working there has an attitude, like we are doing them a favor by coming in. There are a lot of other places to eat with better attitude. read more
