Stopped in on my way home. Cute little cafe with a warm atmosphere. The employee who took our order and made our coffees was super nice! Service was overall pretty great, as the food came out pretty quickly too. We got two breakfast sandwiches. I loved mine and so did my partner! We found this place because luckys was closed, on tuesdays, let's not discuss how random that is. This place is adorable and a drive thru! Which in retrospect, we should have done. I got a Nutella mocha which at first tasted very bland, but as I kept drinking, got better. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches, the firecracker wrap and the salmon, caper, cream cheese bagel. About 20 minutes later we were informed our order "got lost." This is why three stars instead of 5. Ended up waiting about 45-50 minutes for the order. Firecracker was delicious... everything else good. They were super nice about it and felt awful, even offered a free muffin (which I politely declined.) would go back but would do the drive thru next time. read more

I am so pleasantly surprised to find this treasure! The coffee is amazing. I bought some whole beans to bring home. I had an everything bagel with lox and chive cream cheese and onion. It's been a long time since this Jewish girl has had such good lox and bagels in this area! Customer service was excellent and the staff are pleasant, helpful, and proud of the business and what they offer. I live an hour away but look forward to coming back when I am down here. Oh! And they have a huge gluten free selection of bagels, wraps, pastries etc if you want or need gluten free foods. read more

Before getting back on the highway for a semi long drive, I needed some caffeine first! I stopped at Jake's Coffee Company, which located is next to Jake's Car Wash, just off I-89 at Exit 19. The place looks very nice from the outside and the atmosphere inside is very relaxed and the place is clean. They also have a drive up window, a good place to grab some coffee, food, and get your vehicle washed all on the same site. OFFERINGS: Jake's Coffee Company offers hot and iced drinks including several varieties of fresh brewed coffee (Java Tree of Manchester), cappuccino, lattes, mochas, chai tea, and smoothies. Torani flavor syrups (13) are also available including vanilla, raspberry, hazelnut, almond, blueberry, coconut, ginger, cheesecake, and others. Juices, milk, and soda available too. They also sell pure honey straws and dan's chocolates. The prices here are in line with other coffee places including Starbucks and Seattle Coffee (inside Borders). As for food, they offer breakfast sandwiches, wraps, paninis, salads, local bakery items, bagels, yogurt, and fresh fruit cup. I been all over the country multiple times. The Wrj va brought me here. I was always looking for a place to replace Starbucks and Dunkin' and I found it here. This shop makes coffee that I'm not worried about what is in it and they serve food that I don't worry about gaining a lot of fat or that it's going to give me a heart attack. This alone helps them edge out most of the other local coffee shops in our area. it's a place that's really appealing to someone commuting to work and they're just too good to give-in and get Dunkin Donuts. At the same time, Jake's is a bit expensive if you're into add-ons. Once you go Soy and add Vanilla to your latte, you're in for a sticker shock. They charge for additional "things" in your drink so prepare for that. They're fairly quick through the drive-thru, there's very limited seating and no place to plugin and charge. If you're someone that wants to write a paper and sip espresso, Jake's probably isn't it but for a bagel and coffee en route to work, they work pretty well. read more

I have been coming here sporadically since changing veterinarians to Stonecliff, next door. I didn't know what to expect but it's like a mom and pop cafe, but with a drive through. They are fairly speedy with your orders and have a HUGE menu. The reason why I come here is that they have a pretty good variety of gluten free options and carry not one but THREE kinds of gluten free breads! Prices are reasonable and the cashiers are very friendly. They have free WiFi too so you could actually come here and study. Coffee is served similar to Dunkin Donuts but I think it is a thousand times better. I just say this because they will fix the cream and sugar for you and they have a bit of a heavy hand. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend this as a brunch spot but I definitely pop in and would stay and study. read more

My husband and I ordered a mocha latte and a cappuccino and we had half a cup of liquid in both. We paid 9$, to get a majority of it foam. Wouldn't get anything but coffee here. This place is the SPOT! I am so happy my boyfriend and I stopped by here on our way to VT. Jake's Coffee is definitely my new favorite breakfast/lunch spot in the area. This is a solid, locally owned, coffee house with a nice selection of pastries and sandwiches for lunch. Quaint atmosphere with quick, free wifi. Service was fast and friendly. They even have a drive through. To address some of the earlier reviews I read, do not let the negatives keep you from trying this place. My late was hot and tasted great. I used the rest room, and it was very clean. As for the counter girl, she was very nice. Maybe some people came on an "off day?" This place is so much better than a carbon copy ghettobucks. Drip-coffee: 3. Decent enough. Espresso-based: 3. Passable. Inconsistent - depends upon who's working. My guess around coffee overall: Crew needs some training. Food: 4. Salads, sandwiches, bagels, smoothies. My fave so far is salt bagel with lox, cream cheese and capers. They load up the salmon - yum! Jake's carries local Walpole Creamery ice cream; can't go wrong there. Prices are reasonable, with the most expensive food item at $6.50. Staff: 5. They rock. Super people. Even the emo guy I've dubbed Smoky who has made getting a laugh out of him my new daily goal. Achieved, mostly. Scene: 4. Clean and bright. Mom and Pop Everybody would like it. Spotless restroom. Hours: 2. Ick - the 6 pm close coffee shop standard around here. Locale: 5. 1/4 mile off I-89 for travelers and passers-by. Car wash next door. Grab a cup, hose down the van, jump back on the road. I frequent Jakes when I'm in the area every 6-8 weeks, I'm a sales rep. Ordered a lemonade a few minutes ago , didn't taste right so I went back in and asked them to check the date on the container. It appears everything that was in the fridge was past fresh date. Really? I should get sick because someone is too lazy to do their job ?? I wasn't even offered a "we're sorry ." Wow. Someone needs a lesson in customer service , and I'll have to rethink where I'll stop in this area. read more

Friendly and welcoming! Great coffee too. Recently relocated and felt comfortable. Great for visitors and locals.

We decided to give Jake's another try. The (formerly) angry adolescents are still there, but they seem to have undergone a change of attitude. When we arrive they generally say hello (or at least "What can I get for you?" instead of "What do you want?"). That's a very welcome change of pace. The coffee and most pastries continue to be good. We're not a fan of cake-like brownies, but if you like them then this is your spot. Normally we stick to the crullers or cinnamon rolls -- both brought in from Lou's, I believe. At lunch, the chicken salad (which has both grapes and raisins in it, so it's rather sweet) is tasty when served on a Portuguese muffin. Jake's also uses McNamara milk, and not the convenience store jugged stuff, which is great. I can now honestly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. read more

I walked in and the girl behind the counter was yawning and just stared at me, waiting for me to order. I ordered an expresso machiatto which ended up quite decent, a bagel and a bottle of st. pellegrino. She have me the bottle unopened. I asked whether she had a bottle opener and she said "no." I waited for her to come up with a solution or at least discuss one, but she didn't. So I asked how I was supposed to get the bottle opened and she was obviously annoyed and said she'll try to open it with a lighter. Another guy working there finally opened it with a spoon :). A customer walked in with a bottle opener on her key chain and the waitress offered to open the beverage the customer purchased with the customer's bottle opener! Delicious, fast, and friendly - so good! I had a coffee and breakfast wrap which was fresh and delicious. Husband had a bagel, and he thought it was great too! What a wonderful find!! I was traveling with my family on vacation and they were clamouring for something to eat. I missed the exit where all the well known fastfood restaraunts were located so I took the next exit and immediately saw Jakes Coffee Company. We decided to give it a try and very happy that we did. The place is very charming and has an upscale but cozy feel about it. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and drinks. The staff was friendly and efficient. We each had a sandwich which were all excellent!! We'll definately remember this place and make it a point to stop by again when we are traveling through. read more

However, their biggest downfall is the customer service. I wait at least 5 minutes before I'm even addressed as a customer. I've been there like 10 times recently and they've all been fantastic, foamy and dark and delicious. Donuts they have are great too. Wow, words cannot describe my gratitude for this place. Here's the thing, I needed to find a good bagel shop because I eat bagels almost daily so it added up, this has been my place. The variety and flavors have never failed me in any mood. I must say that one time a worker at the drive through said "tell me when I can take your order." so I said "okay" and then she goes "okay hold on." i'm just saying in my opinion that wasn't professional. I shall let that pass though. They give me a very reasonable amount of peanut butter or cream cheese on everything which has been very nice. Barista was a little awkward. Did not great me. Just stared at me and blinked after I said something to her and I had to ask again. They advertise as having "fruit smoothies". Something I have seen on the interchangeable sign outside. When I asked what "Fruit purée" was I was shown a bottle of what looked like artificial fruit flavoring and high fructose corn syrup that would be added to ice. No thank you. I am extremely disappointed. Very small space. Not comfortable. The only purpose I would see would be for traveling business people who need a quick quiet place spot to stop for wifi. If they have it... Quiet because it doesn't look like they get much business. Nothing looked worth sticking around for so I left and went to white river junction. Will not be coming back. Would not recommend. You're better off going to Maplefields. It is a shame I left disappointed. I would come back if they used real fruit. Local and delicious. Skip the all-chain nonsense at the West Lebanon exit and head to Jake's. Had a turkey panini which was crisp, hot, and fresh. Cheesecake brownie was moist and flavorful. Good cup of strong coffee. Nice little cafe area to sit in. Enjoyed this spot and will be back. read more
