A decent burger, but the fries were not fresh and overly saturated.
Ti D.

This place is situated in a prime spot with a prime view of Bear lake but not prime on the food. After 2.5 hours of driving we were ready to chow. Forget the diet, let's get good grub in a lil'ol town. We're talkin onion rings, fries and the house burger. The fries were so overly saturated and the onion rings were so oily it had no flavor other than pure saturated fat taste. We also ordered a turkey burger, it came out as a turkey sandwich with sliced turkey not a turkey patty burger. Calling it a turkey melt would've been more accurate. All in all not impressive with the food but the casualness and decor made it tolerable.

Small inside dining area with bathroom (with shower?)

Our family stopped in for a late lunch and we're not impressed. The sandwiches were small, overpriced, and doesn't come with anything: no fries, no chips, no pickle, nothing. The staff were very young and quite rude: we were not allowed more than three ketchup packets. Really? We won't be back. I would recommend you avoid this place if you want anything other than shakes. The shakes, only in the area other than at the koa, made with hard ice cream, were really good. This is the only redeeming quality. Also seems less crowded than the other soft-serve places.

Looks pretty, until you see the hair.

Not a great place, waited in a not very long line more than 30 minutes to order, then another 30 minutes to get my burger and onion rings. When it came out, my burger had hair on it and I had to wait again for another burger. The girl who helped me get the second burger was great, but the food isn't worth the snail-paced service. There's a place across the street that's quicker and tastier, go there.

So slow it's painful. It must be deliberate. 40 minutes for a shake. This place needs an adult.

Great berry smoothies. Very big and tastes like frozen yogurt. Was the highlight of our raspberry day in Garden City, Utah.

We did not try the food but the raspberry shake was the best so far. The shake was thick, above the rim, fresh, and tasty.

We thought that was very nice to pause for a moment to let your staff go and enjoy a fun activity that was right outside of the restaurant. They were back within a few minutes and they began taking orders. We didn't mind the short wait and we appreciated that the owners knew it was important to give their staff a little break. They have restrooms available for patrons, that are clean and tidy. Parking is in the back and along the street to the north, but nothing is available in the front so be aware of that. Handicap parking is in the back. They have a typical shake shack style menu and a few fun things, including Dole whip, the Disneyland style. They have a classic Bear Lake raspberry shake. You can get fish, burgers, chicken, and even corn dogs. Entrée items are sold separate from things like fries, tater tots, and onion rings. They also have sweet potato fries. We decided to each order a different side so that we could all try each other's. The fries, sweet potato fries and the onion rings are fantastic. Those are what we ordered. You can sit inside of a boat, at a traditional table with chairs, on a bench with a fun wooden hand, carved table, underneath a umbrella and a round table. There are pretty much plenty of options for receiving. They have what they call a sauce bar, which is a collection of different types of sauces for your sides. It's fun to choose a few different ones and taste them all with your sides. We had the Bear Lake Muenster burger, the cheeseburger, a corn dog, and the honey chipotle chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich and the corndog were great. The Muenster burger was pretty good, but the cheeseburger was nothing to write home about - it was undercooked and they used American cheese instead of cheddar cheese, which isn't my favorite and made it a lot more bland. It had hardly any sauce on it And there was only one tomato on. It was a very large sandwich but not a lot of flavor. The buns they use are fantastic but know that they are a softer bun so if you don't like a soft bun you may not like their sandwich, so just get it without a bun and eat it with a fork and knife Items can be made gluten-free, it didn't appear they had anything in term of vegan options other than the sides, but I'm sure they would make something custom. When they took our order, they were extremely friendly and they were very fast when it came to our food getting to us. There is a place to play games in the back that includes cornhole, a giant connect 4 game, and just enjoying the music. The music wasn't something we could hear very well, but it would've been fun to hear it because it seemed to be a good mix. Unfortunately, mostly what we heard the entire time we were there were orders being called over a loudspeaker. So if you don't want to hear the loudspeaker don't sit under the covered area. Overall, this is a fun new, hip beach joint. Great for lunch or stopping after a day on the lake.

I had a few special requests due to me sharing my burger with my dog and they did not disappoint. The shake was really good. Blended well. I had raspberry and Oreo cookie. It would've been nice to taste a little more raspberry in the shake. They pride themselves on using fresh raspberries and that is the reason. Fresh fruit mixed with dairy tampons the tartness and dulls a lot of the sweetness.. I believe macerating some raspberries and sugar and finishing with some fresh lemon zest or even a little lemon juice and adding that to the fresh raspberries would knock it out of the park. I put it on the floorboard so my dog wouldn't get at it and accidentally knocked it over. It was so thick that only the huge amount that sticks out of the cup touched the floor mat. Awesome!!!!!!! I got the biggest burger they had. A half pound with two kinds of cheese and pastrami burger. It wasn't called a pastrami burger so I'm not gonna complain that it's just one thick slice. It was more like how you would add bacon to a burger. All the veggies were super fresh. Their choice of bun is the best bun I've had since my road trip began a week ago. Here's my opinion on the burger. The burger had no beef flavor. The only flavor came from the wonderful charcoal grill marks on the burger. Don't be afraid of salt. It's a chef's favorite condiment. The biggest complaint and my only true complaint is that the burgers have a horrible texture to them. Like two quarter pounds of beef breakfast sausage. Not good. If somehow it is how ground I'd recommend using a smaller die and leaving out the transglutaminase. Dog loved it. Would I come again? I sure would. Mos Def

This was my second visit, and unfortunately it was almost identical to the first. The welcome was not very friendly, and our waitress walked by the table several times before finally speaking to us. After that, she never really came back to check on us, ask whether we needed anything, or see how the food was. The next thing we knew, she was dropping off the bill. We ordered two appetizers, but only one was brought out. I also clearly mentioned that I have a food allergy, and she said she would let the kitchen know. Even so, the appetizer arrived with the ingredient I'm allergic to, and nothing was said about it. On top of that, the salad came with the wrong dressing. That said, the seared ahi tasted fresh, and the greens with salmon really hit the spot. The food itself was enjoyable, which makes the service issues even more disappointing. It is hard to overlook a missed appetizer, the wrong dressing, and especially the mishandling of a food allergy. This place has a lot of potential, but the service definitely needs work.

There were several waiters whose only job was to take orders and refill drinks. They spent the majority of the night walking around looking confused. One employee with the two long braids was the ONLY person bringing out the food. And as quick as she was, it still wasn't enough. On the patio alone, I saw 12/14 tables who were waiting on their food for over 45 minutes. While the scenic view is great, the place is shared with the pool of the country club and walking people walk in and out in their swimsuits dripping water everywhere was a bit chaotic. I would recommend Gordon Ramsay to bring his show "24 hours to hell and back" to fix this place up. 1. Sports bars should probably play sports on the TV not infomercials and Harry Potter. 2. Simplify the menu 3. Create a new strategy for serving outside of one girl doing everything. Overall the food was underwhelming, but they did a great job accommodating allergies and marked Gluten free on their menu.

This place has some highs and lows…read more High - the razberry shake is highly legit. They have the old school mixer (the kind you see on re-runs of Petticoat Junction) and I am of the understanding the use real razberries which is an upgrade from the similar shake found at McDonalds. High - clean. Place is a little off but so is the entire town. I noticied one poster commented how the bathroom had no toilet paper. I did not inspect that situation. Low - Took 43 minutes to get the frickin' burger. The burger itself was plain, somewhat tasteless, and generally underwhelming. Burger is a two star situation. Fries were as expected from a town that basically goes out of business after Labor Day weekend. Gift shop analysis - I have no comment. Not the same stuff you find on Amazon though. Pro Tip - use the drive through. The staff is kids, nice and all but just not the brightest group, especially when some tour bus rolls in and the cashier forgot to send a bunch of tickets back to the line cook. That is when problems start. Summary - Eat here in a pinch. Stop in for the shake and cut your losses on the food.
