This place has some highs and lows. High - the razberry shake is highly legit. They have the old school mixer (the kind you see on re-runs of Petticoat Junction) and I am of the understanding the use real razberries which is an upgrade from the similar shake found at McDonalds. [[HIGHLIGHT]]High - clean. Place is a little off but so is the entire town[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I noticied one poster commented how the bathroom had no toilet paper. I did not inspect that situation. Low - Took 43 minutes to get the frickin' burger. The burger itself was plain, somewhat tasteless, and generally underwhelming. Burger is a two star situation. Fries were as expected from a town that basically goes out of business after Labor Day weekend. Gift shop analysis - I have no comment. Not the same stuff you find on Amazon though. Pro Tip - use the drive through. The staff is kids, nice and all but just not the brightest group, especially when some tour bus rolls in and the cashier forgot to send a bunch of tickets back to the line cook. That is when problems start. Summary - Eat here in a pinch. Stop in for the shake and cut your losses on the food.

This is a hamburger joint that serves milk shakes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Well not a good place they have tables but it is walk up order, pay, and wait for your food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On this day it was wait and wait. It took over 45 minutes to get two burgers and fries. And yes everything is a combo only burger, fries, and fries for one price. Fries were ok but burgers were very dry and way over cooked. The staff were very uncooperative and had bad attitudes. We won't be going back ever.

Everyone enjoyed the food. Service was great. Very busy but moved along nicely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is very casual.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We brought our family over to enjoy the lake.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got rained off the lake and ran in for a quick bite. My family from Vegas really enjoyed your burgers while I had chicken tender that were actually a whole breast, not the tender. I could only eat one. I brought the other 3 home and made 2 more sandwiches with them and the last one chopped into a chicken salad. The fries are even nice after reheating in my air fryer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It great to be see a place that is cool and people can bring their dogs in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will see you again, I am sure!

MeatEater Burger with Pulled Pork Cheese Fries

It was my first time here for lunch with my husband, and the Meateater Burger is definitely in the Top 3 burgers we've ever had. The Pulled Pork Cheese Fries were on point, and is a great compliment to the burger. If we could rate it with "37 stars" we would. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff and ambiance were pleasant, and Robert was extremely friendly and went above and beyond ensuring our burger was cooked exactly how we wanted it![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We came just outside of the busy season, so we loved how empty it was with no crowds![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] #TasteOverHype

Hamburger combo with fries/drink

I ordered the hamburger & fries combo. Hamburger was very generic, unseasoned. Fries were good. Things are too expensive here. The hamburger combo starts at $13.99 and goes up from there. My wife ordered a $16.00 4 chicken tender combo. Raspberry shake was delicious, but everything was simply too expensive for the quality of food that you get.

Horrible

Horrible!!!! From time of order to food pick up 55 minutes. NOT busy at all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Had to clean our own table. Trash can over filled and spilling onto the floor[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. While spending more than one hour and a half not once did anyone come wipe or clean tables or anything he self serve drink area. Hamburger was raw, fries cold and stale, soda flat. Charged .50 for fry sauce cups. Just an absolute disaster. Raw burger, stale fries and flat soda for $14.49. Awful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not to mention the trash and unclean tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Raspberry, blueberry & Huckleberry Shakes (they are thick)
Melinda H.

Just here for the shakes... yummy !!! There was maybe a bit too ice creamy in my opinion. Huckleberry was the best for sure. Blueberry was on the sweeter side. Still a fun stop on a friend vacation. 12 women split 3 shakes... they were thick. Like eat them with a spoon.

Heard Utah is famous for their shakes and we found the right place here at Ephraim's! Made with real berries and hard ice cream. My husband got the raspberry and I got the huckleberry. Both were fantastic! Highly recommend!

Bacon cheeseburger and fries

I love vacationing in Bear Lake! If you are going to eat out there are a lot of burger / fast food joints to try, most are good (not great) a few aren't...this one is good. While prices are expensive everywhere in a resort town, you get fries and a drink with all of their meals. Service is consistent and there is a lot of seating and parking so a win if you are towing a boat. We typically get burgers for dinner and a scone for dessert.

Zero for service and 2 for the food that's slightly better than gas station food options.

They were nice. Plenty of parking. I couldn't eat here because of food allergies and being vegan. My husband seemed to enjoy it.

Closed for the season? Who knows, because their website doesn't indicate they're closed and Google and Yelp both show them as open.

Bear Lake's Best-Kept Secret (That Apparently Everyone's Mad About?)…read more Let's get something straight: I've eaten at Bear Lake my whole life, and up until now, "dining out" here meant a basket of something fried in oil older than the lake itself. So when I tell you Campfire Grill made me remember what actual food tastes like, understand the weight of the statement. The margherita pizza comes out of the wood-fired oven blistered and glorious--like it's personally trying to make up for decades of regional culinary disappointment. The wedge salad's blue cheese has a faint smoky thing going on, dotted with tiny chives, and tasted like somebody in that kitchen has actually left the county before. And don't get me started on the wings: homemade buffalo sauce, still crispy, and not a hint of gas-station-regret afterward. Add giant open windows that turn the whole dining room into an al fresca reprieve, competent waitstaff, and you've got yourself an actual bona fide restaurant in a place that has subsisted on fry-baskets since one of the Roosevelt administrations. So, to the one-star crowd: I don't know what you were expecting. This isn't Salt Lake City. It's Bear Lake. And for Bear Lake, this is nothing short of miracle work.

I ordered the avocado toast, and it was alright. Pretty blend though. Several of us wanted the biscuits and gravy, but they were out of it. The servers were working very hard though. You could tell they were understaffed and as someone who works in the industry, I knew the stress they were likely under. The setting was really cool. Huge open windows and tons of fresh air and sunlight.

This was my second visit, and unfortunately it was almost identical to the first. The welcome was not very friendly, and our waitress walked by the table several times before finally speaking to us. After that, she never really came back to check on us, ask whether we needed anything, or see how the food was. The next thing we knew, she was dropping off the bill. We ordered two appetizers, but only one was brought out. I also clearly mentioned that I have a food allergy, and she said she would let the kitchen know. Even so, the appetizer arrived with the ingredient I'm allergic to, and nothing was said about it. On top of that, the salad came with the wrong dressing. That said, the seared ahi tasted fresh, and the greens with salmon really hit the spot. The food itself was enjoyable, which makes the service issues even more disappointing. It is hard to overlook a missed appetizer, the wrong dressing, and especially the mishandling of a food allergy. This place has a lot of potential, but the service definitely needs work.

This location is one of only a few restaurants in the area. We were staying in Fort Bridger and…read moredrove over to have a sit-down meal. The building shares an entrance with the truck stop/fuel station/convenience store. This makes it a bit confusing as to where the restaurant is located, but we found it. We had seen on other yelp reviews that this wasn't the cleanest place, and that is certainly true. The day we visited, the dining room was filled with flies. They were so pesky, that it made it difficult to sit and wait for our food because they just wouldn't leave us alone. A fly strip or two may have helped quite a bit with this issue. We sat at a low table, but there was bar seating as well, which most of the locals chose to use. Our table was a wood surface coated with a clear varnish that was sticky to the touch and likely not very cleanable. The condiments were very dirty and gross. We chose not to use them with our food. There was only one waitress working and one cook, and there were 3 other people besides us dining in. The food still seemed extra slow coming out. It appeared that the cook only worked on one order at a time, so we watched as each patron was served until ours came out. I ordered the Malibu Chicken Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries. My sandwich didn't really have much flavor, but it tasted fine. My fries were not too greasy as can be the case with sweet potatoes. I was hungry and devoured my meal. My husband ordered the chili burger with tots. He said the chili was mediocre and the tots needed salt. I thought the tots had an old grease flavor that I did not care for. I don't think we'll be back again unless something changes.

The crew working at the store (Federal Avenue) are the friendliest and the most helpful. Being that I must drink decaf coffee, their Decaf Highlander Grogg is absolutely, hands down, the best decaf I have ever drank. I purchased a 5lb bag, a 2lb bag, and a few smaller bags to bring home. They have a nice sitting area both indoors and out to enjoy your brew. They have some nice mugs and coffee accessories as well. I really appreciated the helpful crew and they have so many great flavors of coffee. Their coffee is also available at Lee's and probably other locations. And truth be told, Lee's is where I first discovered Caffe Ibis coffee. I am now a coffee snob as I have had to drink another name brand when I ran out of my Highlander Grogg. That other brand tasted like...well...just yuck. The good thing is, Caffe Ibis also has an online presence so I can be assured of never running out. Finally, if you have never tried it, do yourself a favor and experience the flavor! You just might find yourself being as addicted to their coffee as I am.
