This was the first food stop on a group tour. We needed to eat lunch and then get going again. Our group of four decided to give this place a try. It had a line but moved fairly quickly. I had the pulled pork sandwich and fries. The sandwich was pretty good -- but the fries were really good and they gave a whole lot of them. Service is kind of slow so it took awhile to get our food. We took half of our lunch with us because it was just a lot of food. It's an interesting place to hang out for lunch but I probably would not return. read more

Waited in line to place an order for 1 hour and 5 minutes. Waited on the food another 40 minutes. Could not be more poorly run. One person fielding orders from both the counter and the drive through, alternating between the two. Memory of a goldfish. Could not work the register. Had to repeat the simple order 5 times back to them. Food is obviously mediocre and after all this, they got the order wrong. Why would you not close the drive through if you only have 2 people working in the whole building? They had 60+ people standing in line waiting to place an order. We ordered our food, our friends ordered after us and they had their food and was finished and our number was never called. This place has some highs and lows. High - the razberry shake is highly legit. They have the old school mixer (the kind you see on re-runs of Petticoat Junction) and I am of the understanding the use real razberries which is an upgrade from the similar shake found at McDonalds. High - clean. Place is a little off but so is the entire town. I noticied one poster commented how the bathroom had no toilet paper. I did not inspect that situation. Low - Took 43 minutes to get the frickin' burger. The burger itself was plain, somewhat tasteless, and generally underwhelming. Burger is a two star situation. Fries were as expected from a town that basically goes out of business after Labor Day weekend. Gift shop analysis - I have no comment. Not the same stuff you find on Amazon though. Pro Tip - use the drive through. The staff is kids, nice and all but just not the brightest group, especially when some tour bus rolls in and the cashier forgot to send a bunch of tickets back to the line cook. Waited in the drive through for 2 hours. An hour and a half in, I got out and knocked on the window. There was no sign or anything indicating the drive through was closed but over the 2 hours we saw lots of people come and go with their food. This is a hamburger joint that serves milk shakes. Well not a good place they have tables but it is walk up order, pay, and wait for your food. On this day it was wait and wait. It took over 45 minutes to get two burgers and fries. And yes everything is a combo only burger, fries, and fries for one price. Fries were ok but burgers were very dry and way over cooked. The good: The burger spot across the street was super crowded so we came here where we didn't have to wait long. The chicken tenders were massive. The fries were pretty good and nicely salted. They had a very spacious indoor and outdoor dining area as well as an upstairs area. The outdoor area is covered. The space looks like a log cabin. They had fun wooden bear statues and fun wall art. The bad: The burgers were basic tasting. The meat was a bit dry. A fun burger sauce like thousand island sauce would've elevated the burger. The bathroom ran out of toilet paper and could've been a little nicer looking. The interesting: I got a keychain and two Beanie Bag stuffed animals for my kids here. Everyone enjoyed the food. Service was great. Very busy but moved along nicely. The ambiance is very casual. We brought our family over to enjoy the lake. We got rained off the lake and ran in for a quick bite. My family from Vegas really enjoyed your burgers while I had chicken tender that were actually a whole breast, not the tender. I could only eat one. I brought the other 3 home and made 2 more sandwiches with them and the last one chopped into a chicken salad. The fries are even nice after reheating in my air fryer. It was my first time here for lunch with my husband, and the Meateater Burger is definitely in the Top 3 burgers we've ever had. This is not the same restaurant we have patronized the last 3 years. Change of ownership? Management? The food is over priced, the selection is limited and inflexible. The burger was mediocre, the fries average. Only the raspberry shakes lived up to expectations. The restaurant was clean but the service personnel were not at all welcoming. Ephraim's is a solid choice for dining in Garden City. Most importantly, are the Raspberry shakes. They are made from hard ice cream and freshly mixed up. They taste like raspberries. The menu has a fair number of items, but it's mostly about the burgers and fish and chips. We've had fish and chips that were perfect, and we've had ones that were still doughy from not being completely cooked. The burgers and bun are good. The fries are great. I love vacationing in Bear Lake! If you are going to eat out there are a lot of burger / fast food joints to try, most are good (not great) a few aren't...this one is good. While prices are expensive everywhere in a resort town, you get fries and a drink with all of their meals. Here's the difference: They use HARD ICE CREAM. So far, it's the only place I've heard of that doesn't use soft serve (aside from the Chevron up the street). The difference? An initial thicker shake. Soooo Soooo Slooooowwww!!! Went to the drive-thru for 5 Raspberry shakes on the way out of town after an excellent weekend visit. We were the only car at the drive thru. Horrid. We went here last night and waited 2 hours for food. They honestly should have disclosed wait times, we would have never ordered had we known it would be more than 30 minutes. A group of 10 and 3 little kids with us, it was a nightmare. It was so dirty with trash everywhere that some patrons were kind enough to get garbage bags to empty their over flowing garbage for them. They took 4 black trash bags out! It's basic frozen food that's been fried with not great seasoning or taste. The fries were soggy, $15 salad had 1 pack of pre-made gross dressing AND worst case we had raw/pink chicken on one of the salads! It was so obvious I took it to the window and they panicked and grabbed it and basically said "what do you want us to do?" I just told them how dangerous it was and they agreed and that's basically it, it stopped everyone from eating anymore and they didn't even offer to refund the salad. (They offered to remake but NONE of us had an appetite after that). A couple that was going to order saw our raw chicken and left.
