This was the first food stop on a group tour. We needed to eat lunch and then get going again. Our group of four decided to give this place a try. It had a line but moved fairly quickly. I had the pulled pork sandwich and fries. The sandwich was pretty good -- but the fries were really good and they gave a whole lot of them. Service is kind of slow so it took awhile to get our food. There was no sign or anything indicating the drive through was closed but over the 2 hours we saw lots of people come and go with their food. This place has some highs and lows. High - the razberry shake is highly legit. They have the old school mixer (the kind you see on re-runs of Petticoat Junction) and I am of the understanding the use real razberries which is an upgrade from the similar shake found at McDonalds. Fries were as expected from a town that basically goes out of business after Labor Day weekend. Gift shop analysis - I have no comment. Not the same stuff you find on Amazon though. Pro Tip - use the drive through. The staff is kids, nice and all but just not the brightest group, especially when some tour bus rolls in and the cashier forgot to send a bunch of tickets back to the line cook. This is a hamburger joint that serves milk shakes. This is not the same restaurant we have patronized the last 3 years. Change of ownership? Management? The food is over priced, the selection is limited and inflexible. The burger was mediocre, the fries average. Only the raspberry shakes lived up to expectations. Ephraim's is a solid choice for dining in Garden City. Most importantly, are the Raspberry shakes. They are made from hard ice cream and freshly mixed up. They taste like raspberries. The menu has a fair number of items, but it's mostly about the burgers and fish and chips. I love vacationing in Bear Lake! If you are going to eat out there are a lot of burger / fast food joints to try, most are good (not great) a few aren't...this one is good. While prices are expensive everywhere in a resort town, you get fries and a drink with all of their meals. Service is consistent and there is a lot of seating and parking so a win if you are towing a boat. We typically get burgers for dinner and a scone for dessert. read more

Here's the difference: They use HARD ICE CREAM. So far, it's the only place I've heard of that doesn't use soft serve (aside from the Chevron up the street). The difference? An initial thicker shake.
