Again, I have NOT been in this salon, don't plan on a visit ever, I don't know anything about the business, it's employees or any other issues that may be there. I will give you a review on this shop's other business endeavor which is the Curl Definition System. I received the system after almost 30 days and used it the very next day. I took the time to cut a little over 2 inches(optional, my choice and I needed it)prior to applying the system. I was blown away by the amazing coils my hair was able to achieve, the shine hasn't faded in the week I've had the products on my hair. Not heavy, tacky, no film build up, no flaking and the softness is unbelievable. Not high maintenance, no flat twist, 2 strand twist, pineapple, none of that. It's pretty much the most simple system and the lasting affects will have you screamin' Hallelujah!!!!! I thank you Serriah for an amazing product. Considering that Belinda ghosted me after her 2nd failed attempt at a retie, let's see how long…read moreit'll take for her to respond to this review. I had an appointment for a retie and a hair style with Belinda on June 7th. Belinda's work was sloppy and inconsistent which I didn't realize until I got home and started running my fingers through my hair. To be fair, there were areas throughout my hair that felt 'ok', unfortunately, the majority of my locs had a loose interlocking pattern where she attempted to retie my hair; while there were also sections where locs were completely untouched. I let her know immediately, and she told me I could return the next day. But first she had me send a video and we were able to speak. I sent a video showing me squeezing the loose locking pattern that was in my crown area. Because she told me that she wasn't exactly sure how she could make (any of) it better, we both thought that shampooing my hair would be the determining factor to confirm if I would actually need to return or not. One shampoo (3 days after the appt) confirmed that I would, and when I returned for a do-over, she only scheduled enough time to correct the back of my hair leaving my crown and perimeter completely un-touched. My hair is thin and my density is low. I'm at the stage where my locs are now heavier than the hair is growing out of my scalp. So when when I text her a video of the hanging locs (on my crown and perimeter) that she never addressed during the do-over, I could not BELIEVE that she never responded. It is a HORRIBLE place to find yourself in especially when you have hair that resides in a constant state of vulnerability. It's disgusting to have a hair stylist leave your hair worse off than it was when you walked in, rush you out of their chair twice and then vanish when they know they did not complete the service that you paid for. I will never understand how a "master cosmetologist" can stand over your head and ignore the new growth, unstable locs and the mess that they've have created, and then have the nerve to ghost you. I spent $280 for half a retie with Belinda and then paid an additional $180 to have the other half done. That's $460 and my hair still isn't back to normal. One star is too generous.
