I am just now getting around to a review of my haircut and color I received from Adriana approximately 8 weeks ago. I moved to Atlanta about 15 months ago from Scottsdale. I was referred to one of the city's Top stylists by a Scottsdale friend who went to him. I went for a year and just did not feel right. He would cut my hair in about 5 minutes and the first visit did not even dry it! I kept going back and finally decided it was time to look elsewhere. I found Adriana through Yelp. Update to the owners response- I did call other salons all 4 star and 5 star reviews The price ranges were 65-90 they included root touch up and wash and blow dry No one charges extra for drying hair. Like I said in my text how are you suppose to know if the color caught the hair or not if you don't dry it and see? If I were getting a style or straightener thru my hair I d understand but it's just a blow dry ! I'm not saying her ability to color hair is good or not. What I have a problem with is the charging extra to dry hair after a color service done by you But this is my personal opinion- no one has to agree or disagree. read more

I just went to Adriana for the 3rd time and am so glad I found her. I had the same person highlighting and cutting my hair from the time I was a teen until out of college. Then I moved to NYC where I lived for 8 years and I never found anyone that was "my hairdresser" because all of them were either outrageously unaffordable or pushy with trying to upsale me to try the "newest trend" in hair. Then coming to Atlanta I thought I'd have to go through the same thing again. I did a lot of research and read reviews, decided on a salon that is a local chain (because they had a really good price of full highlights starting at 110) and booked with someone who was supposedly good with color. When I got there, I was told it was a mistake and they put me in with someone else who was available. This person ended up talking me into trying a certain kind of process with color despite me being apprehensive about trying something new. The outcome- my hair was orange. I was mortified. Luckily, I came across all of the reviews about how good Adriana is with blondes so I was hoping she would be the one to fix me! I like that I know exactly who will be doing my hair which is not always the case when you go to larger salons. When I sat down, she ACTUALLY listened to me. I think we literally talked about my hair history and what I wanted for a good 30 mins before she even started. She is not looking to upsale you or talk you into something you are uncomfortable with. For me, she took something horrible and turned it into something I felt great about. She was honest that it was going to take time to get it back to the way I'm used to. I have now been to her 3 times and I'm always happy with the color when I walk out. I have gotten to know her personality more, and she is fun and laid back! I think the sprinkling of bad reviews on here must have been from people who likely had unrealistic expectations of what could be done. Bottom line, she is excellent and conscientious about her work, and I highly recommend her. She is located in a booth inside a large salon mall. I love that it is her own space and we don't have to be bothered by conversations from others. Also with regards to her prices, maybe it's because I'm coming from NYC but I find her prices reasonable for the area and her quality of work. Someone griped on here about being charged for a dry. This is actually pretty common in all 4 places I've lived in, one including a smaller suburb of Nashville. Back when I was in school, there were times when I was on a tight budget and I asked if I could use the hairdryer to dry my own hair to save a couple bucks. Thank you Adriana! I would give this negative stars. I called about a keratin treatment because nobody in my area works with ethnic hair. I explained I was coming from out of town and she asked why I was calling her. So I'm writing this review as I'm sitting in Adriana's salon for the second time. It's been a month since the first time I've seen her, and everyday that has passed that I didn't write a review I've felt guilty. This woman is a miracle worker!!! I'm from Kentucky but in Georgia working for a couple of months and needed my hair cut and colored (this was the first time I came to her). When I showed up, I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do but knew I wanted to get rid of this atrocious blonde ombré I had going on. No offense to all the blondes out there doing your thing (it's just not me). I also mentioned that I wanted to start growing my hair back out again. Adriana was extremely helpful and honest by giving me her unbiased opinion. She upfront told me that the blonde in my hair was damaged so if I wanted to grow it out, I shouldn't do too much to change the color as that would add further damage. But she follow it up by saying, " but I'll do whatever you want it's your choice." Which I'm pretty sure was code for - hey you do you but when your hair is damaged af don't be mad at me :) which was nice because sometimes you're just feeling stubborn and want to do what you want to do. However, this was not one of those time. I took her advice and did some root touch up and she did a toner on the blonde. My hair turned out fabulous. I was so impressed with the results! It looked much more natural and fresh. I came back to her this time only for a conditioning treatment, which she has recommended if I want my hair to grow longer. She is great about helping you with recommendations you can do at home, but I've been lazy so I decided to just come back to her to have the treatment done. Plus, if you spend more than 2 minutes around her, you'll also see that her company is pretty fantastic also! I would recommend her to absolutely anyone!!! I wish I could pack her in my suitcase when I finally have to go back home to Kentucky... This is a plan that isn't out of the question. ;) because she is so amazing! I was still skeptical as I have tried the best of salons in Minneapolis and have not been satisfied at all. Not all stylists understand your hair and can make the right choices for your hair. I had my mind set on a particular look, but Adriana took the time to talk about what I wanted out of my cut (such as maintenance and upkeep), my hair type (how long it takes to get greasy), and what colors would work with my natural hair.
