he portions were HUGE and everything was really tasty. We don't usually do takeout from Mexican restaurants (other than Chipotle which doesn't really count). We make plenty of delicious essentials including guac and pico, but sometimes you just don't want to cook. We ordered from Jalapenos which is located in Camden County through DoorDash. As I mentioned earlier, the portions are gigantic and we had leftovers for quite a few days after. I'm still dreaming about those chips. They were just deep-fried enough that the crunch was surreal. What we ordered: Appetizers: Chips and guacamole - definitely a favorite of ours, especially when I don't have to make it. We got a hefty serving of guac, that lasted us at least a few days. The chips were deep-fried and just the right about of crispy. They were almost like crunchy tortillas since they were a little flaky. yum! It had a good amount of cilantro, onion, and lime notes. We added a little bit of salt to make the flavors pop more, but it's better to add than have too much. Tamales - Yum! Two tamales - one with chicken and one with pork. Both wrapped in corn husk topped with green and red salsa, sour cream, and queso fresco. I preferred the green, but Mike liked the red salsa one better. Both were delicious, I think the red salsa had more flavor, but the overall bite I preferred of the green. I've never made tamales, but maybe I should learn and attempt these delicious apps! Entrees: Fajitas - holy smokes! There was so much provided for these fajitas. I had leftovers for 4 meals. The fajitas came with chicken (a little peppery) and steak. Tons of veggies (peppers and onions), guacamole, black beans, rice, and sour cream served on the side. I didn't eat the fajitas, but I thought about baking them in the oven to make more chips to scoop up the guac. Chicken Chimichanga - This looked absolutely delicious and Mike really enjoyed it. It was a deep-fried burrito with chicken, cheese, guajillo sauce and topped with green salsa, sour cream, and queso fresco. It came with a side of rice, beans, and a small side salad. Tacos- Because we didn't order enough food, we ordered 3 tacos. These were probably my least favorite part of our order. We ordered the steak, chorizo, and al pastor. My personal favorite was the al pastor topped with cilantro, diced onions, and pineapple; however, the chorizo was a close second. The steak in my fajitas was better than the taco, but maybe it lost its luster due to travel. All tacos were served with a side of radishes and fresh limes. Overall, we were really pleased with Jalapenos. The food was delicious and plentiful. I loved the chips and guacamole along with the tamales. If you're in South Jersey looking for some great Mexican food, I highly recommend ordering from Jalapenos. read more

Stopped in for Taco Tuesday! And was quickly disappointed. Was looking for a hearty shrimp taco. My husband was looking for flavorful chicken tacos. In addition we ordered a plate of nachos and guacamole with chips to share. Waited for our food for about 20 minutes. If it was freshly made we wouldn't have complained. This was microwaved trash. Shrimp tacos were a pile of teeny tiny salad shrimp?! With a squirt of some sort of spicy sauce? Like a sriracha mayo? Chicken tacos were so unbelievably dry. In fact. The chicken product was eerily close to the consistency and texture of CANNED chicken breast. Again. The same mystery sauce. Nachos were just clumps of hard melted cheese on chips with a pile of lettuce on top. Guacamole. Not fresh. This was a disaster. Lazy preparation. Suspect a microwave was involved? Could have made the nachos at home easily. And if I followed this recipe I could have done it all at home. Feast your eyes on the pic of the shrimp taco. read more

I've visited Jalapeños 2 in Haddon Twp, I liked it there but this location is their sister spot. And I LOVED IT! The food, the service, the ambiance. They have different areas to accommodate everyone's needs. There is a family style sit down area, the bar, take out/pick up for those in a hurry and for more fun a pool table area! I will be coming to this one again. Prices were great and the food was hot and fresh!!! read more

Love the wet burrito from here! The sauce and cheese on top is very good. I also get the fried plantains that are so good and reasonably priced. Really disappointed in this place. We normally go to Jalapenos2 on the pike and we love it there. When we walked in we couldn't tell if the dining area was opened or not so we sat at a high top at the bar. The service was pretty bad. We don't blame the bartender because she was doing a lot alone. The restaurant over all was dirty. From the menus being covered in food to the nasty mirrors behind the bar. We ordered chicken quesadillas to split to start off but we weren't given small plates so we just had the one plate and I had to use a napkin for a plate. I ordered 3 chorizo tacos and my wife ordered beef tacos. She said hers were just ok. My tacos were not good. The meat was dry the limes weren't fresh. This trip was a complete disappointment. Luckily we close to our favorite Jalapenos on the pike so we won't have to go back here. Our server was very nice and she was doing the best she could. Management should get her some help. read more

If I could give this place 100 stars I would! It has the feel of a downtown city restaurant tucked away in Gloucester City. The inside of this bar and restaurant has been completely revamped and the decor is authentic and clean! The service is top notch from the bartenders to the service staff. It's so good especially their authentic Mexican stuff the more authentic Mexican it is the better they now have a bar with excellent margaritas and other drinks it's also really big so post Covid you'll be able to find a table I'm during Covid and now they have outdoor seating and pick up and delivery which is fantastic absolutely love this place and they have really good prices read more

The food is here is fantastic! We had a party of 12 ... and our server was pretty great. She was on top of things and attentive, considering they started to get really busy. I had the chicken chimichanga and it was delicious. Big enough that I brought some of it home. Everyone in our party enjoyed their dishes. The apps are so good. We had the nachos & the jalapeno poppers. Everything here is made from scratch, with fresh ingredients. Nothing was greasy or overdone. We had some drinks from the bar as well. Margaritas, mojitos, and draft beer. My only complaint there was that my 2nd margarita came out tasting nothing like the first one. Something was definitely missing.. but I'm not going to hold that against them. This place is amazing & authentic. Can't wait to go back. read more

When I ordered through Menufy I was OVERCHARGED after the owner called back to modify my order, but did NOT adjust the prices to match. I'm thrilled that I have a local Mexican restaurant to go to now! I happened to be there on Taco Tuesday! So of course I had to try the tacos. They did not disappoint. An order of chicken tacos came with three large tacos that was stuffed with tons of fresh well seasoned chicken! The bar had a nice selection of tequila and the staff was super friendly.
