This was a terrific find as we were driving through Lee on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was pretty empty upon arrival, and we were promptly greeted with thick, crispy chips and delicious salsa. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, including the birria tacos, carne asada, and meal combos. The queso on the chimichangas was mild but paired well with the rice and creamy beans. Good food served fast, attentive service, reasonable prices, good portions, etc. if we lived closer, we'd be regulars. read more

Came back for dinner two days later and had the Grilled Chicken Tacos and these were great! Again, best Mexican meal I have ever had.

Drove through the area to visit MassMOCA, stopped by here serendipitously. Did not expect excellent Mexican in the area, but gotta give it to them the tacos are ON POINT. Service is quick and the vibes are chill -- will have to come back again if I drive through the area. :) read more

Outstanding carnitas tacos--some of the best I've ever had. Good guacamole, chips, and salsa. Service friendly but slow, but this was not the fault of waitstaff. They are very short staffed. One thing: local water isn't great. Table water tasted like a swimming pool. They need a decent nonalcoholic beer, anything from Athletic Brewing, or maybe Sam Adam's Just the Haze. Corona NA and Heineken 0.0 are just not good nonalcoholic beers. This problem is really easy to fix! read more

Visiting the area we stopped into this quaint little restaurant on Main Street for an early dinner. We were greeted with a smile and directed to take a seat anywhere. We felt right at home in a comfortable, clean booth. The bar tender came right over with menus and took our drink orders. He gave us the perfect amount of time to make our dinner selections and was patient as we questioned clarity on a few menu items. The rice and refried beans were fabulous. The chicken burrito was spectacular. I didn't care for the soft ground beef taco. A bit too much cumin for my liking and messy to eat. When the bartender collected our plates I shared my feedback regarding the taco. He was apologetic but I told him it was alright I loved everything else about the meal. Much to our surprise he delivered a lava cake on the house for us to share. Needless to say, his thoughtfulness resulted in a substantial tip, happy customers and this review. In a world where there is a Mexican restaurant just about every place you go you need to make sure you get to Jalisco Cantina to see the difference. This is the real deal. Quesadillas are giant and if you want a stand out quesadilla order the Fajita Quesadilla. Shrimp dishes are excellent. While many diners sometimes pass on the refried beans in other restaurants you'll love them here. Flautas topped with freshly made guacamole are delicious. If the weather outside is cold start with a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. Lots of great chicken, pork. Shrimp and steak combos and variations. Everything is fresh and authentic. This was our fourth trip to Jalisco. very friendly and helpful service it was a cold day and the chicken tortilla soup hit the spot- it was delicious I had the chicken fajitas and they were delicious Huge portions- we took home quite a bit of leftovers My son had a combination plate I've never seen so much food and all of it very tasty The quesadilla was quite ample The chicken moist & tender. We are visiting the area and many restaurants were closed on Monday. We stopped at this restaurant and we were so happy with the food and the service! We ordered 1/2 a picture of jalapeño margaritas that were yummy and plentiful. Food was delicious and service was wonderful even though they got super busy. Moved to the East Coast just over a year ago, and have been trying to find a great Mexican restaurant and finally I have found the holy grail. Chips and salsa were great, Carnitas Tacos were big and full of meat. The one item that was less than expected was the beef chimichanga, the fillings were delicious but they were barely fried and not traditionally deep fried. House Margaritas were good and the ambiance was just as expected for a great Mexican Cantina. Make sure you stop in early as the place was packed by the time my wife and I left. read more

Whatta great place!!! Decor inside was beautiful hand painted murals that reinforced the feeling of a true Latin restaurant. Beautifully carved booths and a great bar. Service was great and very attentive. Food was to die for!!! True authentic Latin food is so much better than anywhere else. Started with warm tortillas and delicious hand made salsa, I had the Dos Amigos, my wife had Pollo Hawaiano. Both came out sizzling on nice cast iron dishes. For dessert we had Deep Fried Ice Cream. My husband and I just returned from a delicious dinner at Jalisco Cantina on Main Street in Lee, Mass. We ordered a margarita, chicken soup, shrimp fajitas, dinner tacos (also shrimp) and flan for dessert. Yum! They were very accommodating--we substituted black beans for refried beans and corn tortillas for flour tortillas. We shared the huge margarita and they even put salt on half the rim for me! We had an excellent experience at this restaurant last night! The owner / our waitress introduced herself to us and was very accommodating at answering questions we had. Husband had ala carte chicken burritos and i had enchiladas. We also ordered Queso to go along with our chips and yummy salsa. Both entrees had the same delicious red sauce - we both felt it was full of flavor , not acidic and would definitely order again. The Queso and salsa had just enough heat without being overpowering. I hate to start a review with "I lived in Southern California for 20 years" but I lived in Southern California for over 20 years and it's especially important here because the best Mexican food outside Mexico is in Southern California and I ate it every chance I got. Jalisco is by far the most legit spot I've tried since moving to the Berkshires. There are 3 ways to measure this. Their street tacos, their birria, and their hot salsa. Taco's are served with only cheese and lettuce .. no tomatoes..Chicken buritto was served with tomato sauce and melted cheese on top.. inside.. just chicken NO BEANS...everything little add on cost extra.. I asked for some hot sauce and they gave me a choice..Cholula or home made.. I asked for the home made and they charged me for it.. lol read more
