The food was great, but none of the staff were wearing a mask the day I went to pick up my take out order. On top of that, the restaurant was packed full of people, and not a mask in sight. While trying to pick up my order, I had to ask the person at the counter to put his mask over his mouth 5 times. With such lax adherence to a simple health mandate, it makes you wonder if the kitchen is bothering to follow anything either. We had lunch here yesterday. No employees wore a face covering. The restaurant is less than 10 miles from the shrimp boats dock in Delcambre, yet on their menu they clearly say imported shrimp. The food is pretty good, by the standards of southwest Louisiana. I did think the al pastor tacos were tasty. Their staff all leaves something to be desired. The bartender managed to mess up every single margarita (rocks when the person ordered blended and vice versa, putting salt on a flavored margarita and sugar on a regular, serving the standard margarita with well tequila when top shelf had been ordered) and at one point the three of us had 6 or 7 margaritas on the table because we had to keep asking for them to be done correctly. We didn't get our desserts, which the server claimed was because "no English". Okay, I am from California and am used to taquerias where the staff don't speak a word of English. It ultimately doesn't matter, because the names of the foods are the same in either language. I'm pretty certain he just messed something up and didn't want to deal with the fallout, especially since he'd had no trouble understanding my mother when she said she wanted a chili relleno stuffed with cheese only, no meat. And even if he hadn't understood us, we clearly wanted something, so he should have gotten someone who could talk to us. read more

Wow! We just stopped in on our way through Louisiana and we thought the food was quite good! We really enjoyed the decor inside. Very pretty. I had a 5 combo and my hubby had the 10 combo. Sunday evening early, half filled with diners. Very prompt and polite service. The menu plainly states "The Lopez family at your Service". That is a nice touch. Half the patrons are Spanish-speaking so I just assumed it must be at least ok. The menu is huge and we ordered the Chory Pollo and Chile Colorado. I ordered the house margarita, and they have four top-shelf tequilas as well. The menu shows they have draught beer although the waiter said they only had bottles. Lots of food! The guac could be a little more than just mashed avo and the waiter forgot about the margarita, but overall a pleasant meal. The Chory Pollo, chicken breasts smothered in cheese and chorizo. Tasty. Chile Colorado was tasty as well, a bit too salty for our tastes but good nonetheless. We'll be back. No, we won't be back. The next morning all three of us have been suffering through Montezuma's Revenge. All morning. Non-stop. Not going to return. read more
