The service was quick but at what cost, I ordered hard shell chicken tacos and chips and cheese dip to go. Whenever I go to my destination and actually look at the food the hard shell tacos were softer than a soft shell taco! So soggy! Was charged almost double the online prices because "they changed their prices and hadn't updated their menu prices on postmates" so because I went in person and picked it up I paid over $50 for a max $30 order. When I called and asked for each items price (because they only gave a total charge amount on receipt, not itemized) here's just how much the price increase was: fajitas increased 54%, quesadilla 62%, taco 50%. Absolutely crazy for them to have such incorrect prices on the only way to view their menu online. Very disappointing experience and will not be back. read more

This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The customer service was absolutely terrible--rude, slow, and completely inattentive. We come to Nashville every few months and stay nearby this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. Wow we were very impressed. The food was great and we ate so much I couldn't walk. The salsa and queso was so good. My husband basically licked his plate clean. The only thing I'd say negative is the tortillas are terrible. Very over heated which made them rubbery. Jalisco was a Mexican restaurant that was chosen mostly for its close proximity to the hotel after a long day of business meetings in the Nashville area. This restaurant is located in a rather nondescript strip mall that the business that was easily the most visible was a cigar and ale place. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised as to the quality of the meal that I received. The chips and salsa started the meal on a positive note. The salsa was extremely good and we also ordered guacamole, which showed slight signs of being a bit old, was still good. For my entree I chose the chile colorado and asked for it to be extremely hot and spicy. When the dish came, they did add a nice amount of heat (though I still added some hot sauce for added heat). Mexican establishment located near my hotel when I was on a business trip for a few weeks in the Nashville area. It was Good Friday and I'm not a seafood type guy. I had pizza the few days before so I went here for a loophole. Cheese Enchiladas. So I could remain a good Catholic boy. All in all it was solid place. Nothing great but nothing bad. Ok so this place is not as bad as the stars show. I tried them years ago and they were not that good then. The food was delicious and the service I had was really good this time. I'm glad I decided to give them a try again. I had the chuck of beef chimichanga as it was on their lunch special and is also my favorite thing in any Mexican place. The rice was flavorful and so was the meat inside the chimichanga. The salsa doesn't taste like canned food so that is always a plus! Their cheese dip is good too. My boyfriend had the tacos "Jalisco style" (onion and cilantro) and they were really good too. They have a green and red sauce on the side you can request for your tacos (or extra spice) or for your other food. They have a full bar and the place has specials everyday. They have a happy hour and also lunch happy hour specials. The bathrooms could use a bit of help but they were clean for the most part. I would definitely come back again. It's close to home so it will definitely be a regular place I can visit when I'm craving Mexican food. read more

This place is pretty good! I ordered the fajita nachos with beans instead of a meat since I am a vegetarian. The nachos come with grilled peppers and onions along with cheese. The fact that they charged me extra for the beans when I got no meat is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 as it seems to me this should be a free substitution. We were met at the door by a lady telling us that they were closed (at 6pm on a Saturday night). ‍ So, as we were headed back to I-40, we saw Jalisco. We stopped to give it a try. Best decision ever! The service was WAY above average! We were seated quickly and served quickly. The salsa was thick, chunky, and full of flavor. The street tacos and tamales amazing. Jalisco Mexican restaurant has the worst customer service. We just ate there tonight as we have many times. And have had good and bad experiences but tonight took the cake. Our server was good and we have never seen him in there. When we got our check it had an automatic gratuity charge on it that has never been there before. So we asked when they started that. He told us that he had been told that we complained years ago about something and he felt we needed to pay this fee now. He basically told us he didn't want us there even after he seated and served us. There was another family in there that they kicked out for changing tables. So this place is awesome. I picked up an order to go and the food was ready and waiting for me at the door. Everything I order was tasty and big enough portions for the price. The shrimp chimichanga was delicious and so was the fried ice cream. The Pina colada I had was a bit bland but it was a virgin one so it may have just needed a lil liquor kick, lol. Went here 11/26 while visiting Nashville and did a take out order of a chicken burrito, beans with rice and absolutely loved it. I was totally stunned at how much chips they give you. It was literally a whole bag full of really good chips. The burrito had really good taste as it was fully filled with well seasoned chicken. There was tons of chicken inside of it. Oh YUM! We are visiting from Texas. My husband got a beef chimicunga and I got the chicken chimicunga lunch version. They were awesome. But we expected it to be good since the chips and salsa was fresh and full of flavor. The salsa had plenty of chunky onions and cilantro. The chicken was perfect and it was fried just enough with a great cheese sauce over them. They were wonderful. Our nephew got chicken nachos and it was piled high. He loved them too!
