My sister goes to this dentist so she recommended them to me. I am grateful she did! I have two very positive experiences with them. The first experience I had with Jamacha Dental was because of a toothache. The front receptionist who took my call was very helpful and concerned. She got me an appointment scheduled in a few days. Later that day she called me because someone canceled their appointment and I was able to take that spot, I thought that was above and beyond and was so grateful. Dr. Alkaseer and his assistant were super helpful and made sure I was comfortable. They let me ask a lot of questions, I have a lot of teeth problems and have been screwed in the past. I am very wary. Dr. Alkaseer knows his stuff! I had to have a tooth pulled and a build-up for a possible implant. The numbing, extraction, build up and sutures were painless. He often stopped to ask if I was ok, or how I was doing. Also, they worked with my insurance and were very transparent about the cost. This was my second experience with Jamacha Dental, and why I will never go elsewhere if I can help it! This past weekend, Easter Sunday, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I got a horrid toothache. I called their office to see if I could leave a message since it was Sunday and I didn't even know if they closed their offices totally because of the COVID-19 fiasco. To my surprise, Dr. Mina Abdullah picked up the phone! Most other dentists are slow to respond when there is no pandemic. She was incredibly concerned and helpful! I was able to get an emergency appointment the next day! And as Sunday progressed, the pain got unbearable and I was able to call her again. She called in a prescription for the pain so that I was able to get through the night. She also checked on me later that night via text! The next day, they took X-Rays and found the culprit. A tooth under my bridge was causing the pain. They were able to cut the bridge and pull that tooth. Dr. Alkaseer made sure I was numb and comfortable the whole time. It was really a quick and painless procedure. I would fully recommend Jamacha Dental. Everyone in that office is helpful and really cares about the patients. This place is awesome! First off, it's under new ownership so this is for Dr Abdullah and the new staff. The place is extremely clean and the waiting room is comfy. They have cool new snazzy xray machines that make getting xrays a breeze! And they are very thorough in making sure they stay sterile. The staff are extremely kind and patient. My dumbass had a bunch of jewelry and lipstick on and the lady patiently waited as I took them all off. I like how everyone knows what they're doing and you can tell they have all knowledge of their position. I felt 100% comfortable ahs trust their judgement with my teeth. The appointment was quick and a breeze. I recently came back to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out and I've got to share! Dr Alkaseer and his assistant Jessica were phenomenal! I was awake during my whole surgery but they made absolutely certain I was numb before we got started. Two of my teeth were really hard to take out because they are bigger than the normal tooth and they were both so very patient and gentle with me throughout the whole process. They both made me feel 100% comfortable and relaxed the entire time. I honestly felt the genuineness of their work and felt like they really cared about my well being. They even called me later in the day to see if I was doing ok! I've never had a place call to check on me before. That made me feel good. Me being awake through it all and seeing what they do makes me have so much respect for what they do. I highly recommend this place. They truly care about their patients and are good at what they do! I wish there is less than 1 star to give them .SO UNPROFESSIONAL!! No matter how hard I try to describe my disappointment in this clinic, I will not be able to describe to you how surprised I was by the low level of their service. I went for an exam and they took X-rays that cover in my insurance, and the doctor told me that I need a deep cleaning. I told him that I will leave my job so I want to know how much I should pay for the deep cleaning before they start, but they did not care about what I said and the assistant started preparing me for the cleaning. When I refused to start before I knew how much I would pay,( as they do in all clinics), they asked me to sit in the waiting room. I sat and waited for a long time and the employee was supposed to tell me the price,She was talking on the phone for half an hour, but when a man came complaining about his new crown that he had there and it fell off ,she took him to the office and started calming him down while I waited. When I got tired of waiting and told them that I was here waiting for them to tell me the price so I could start the cleaning or leave to go to work ( because I missed working the morning to be there , they told me to go and they will send me the price on the phone. I left, but they have not sent me anything yet, just a message wanting me to evaluate their service. When I went to another doctor I found out that my insurance covers x-rays once a year and when I called them and told them to send me my x-rays that I paid for they asked me to pay $25 to give me my x-rays THAT THEY ALREADY GOT paid for . Anyway I didn't want to write this review but I really feel sorry for the people who will go there in the future. The service is below par as if they were in a third world country. read more

The Dentist, staff and services here are exceptional! Everyone is kind and professional. They really know what they are doing here and will explain each procedure, insurance coverage and costs to you before anything is done. They let you know all the options that are available for what you need which is nice so that you can plan according to your budget. You know, customer service has really gone down the hole! The 2 ladies at the front desk are extremely UNPROFESSIONAL. They sat there gossiping and took their time to check in patients. The older one (Laura) said the name of the clinic in which I am EMPLOYED with and said "that's medical" under her breath. I looked at her and said "no that's the name of my employer , it is NOT medical I have commercial insurance as you can see on my paperwork" she didn't bother to say I'm sorry or I overlooked it, she just ignored me because she was wrong. This place is HORRID! They don't practice the social distancing they say they are strict on. The dental assistant doesn't even wear her mask properly. She had it down below her nose, barely covering her mouth. As a medical professional, she should know better. When I said something, her response was snarky. The waiting area was chaos. Over 27 years I've gone from dentist to dentist, hoping one day I'd land a dentist that was just that, an amazing dentist that does their job the right way while still keeping the patient comfortable. After some time I thought I'd never find that one in a million dentist, I lost complete hope in finding a dentist I like, until I met Dr.Abdullah at Jamacha Dental, her & the dentist assistant Mercedes make such a great team & they make sure that you are fine at all times. I have a fear of pain from the dentist & with them I felt no pain & they always asked if I was ok. I for the first time at a dentist wanted them to just keep working on my teeth because of how comfortable I was, & this is all coming from someone who is absolutely petrified of the dentist. The office is a very clean, & adorably decorated, with a calm setting. Dr.Abdullah is my favorite dentist that I have ever had, I don't want another dentist to ever work on my teeth unless that dentist is Dr.Abdullah. Oh My God the most horrible customer service I have ever received! First, the front desk lady is mean and very rude. After scheduling the appointment, I went to my appointment 10 minutes early to fill out my paperwork. She did not returns my greeting. The doctor was very nice and explained what I need to be done. He took the time to answer my questions and concerns. However, he said I need two extractions that my insurance will cover and a bone crafting, but the "bone grafting" is not cover by the insurance and it would cost me $600 each. After the doctor left, the billing lady came in and with the total bill. She was very determined to schedule my next appointment and collect the money upfront. Honestly, I did not feel comfortable with her approach so I told her I will think about it and give you a call back. I went to get a second opinion, and the other dentist told me I need one extraction and the bone grafting would cost me $400. After 4 days from my consultation, I received a phone call from the Jamacha Dental asking me when to schedule my next appointment. I politely told the receptionist I changed my mind and I do not want to get the extraction. This dental is really bad. They don't know how to do their work properly. When I got in there to check my teeth, they took two x rays after I got an x ray at initial healthcare clinic. After staying for an hour just taking two x-rays, they told me that insurance will not cover what I need to do for my tooth. They should've told me from the beginning that my insurance will not cover anything, they should've asked if I was okay with it or not instead of making me wait. On top of that they blame it on me for not asking about it. They wasted my time and just wanted to take my money. It looks like they do their business just for money and not care about patients. I came here by referral to get a root canal by Medi-cal and they would only do the root canal if I paid out of pocket for a 3-D x-ray that was not needed. Since they refused to set up a root canal procedure, I refused their services! Nobody in a dental association will require you to PAY for an x-ray that isn't necessary! They already did x-ray, panoramic x-ray for a single tooth! I went to see my my friend (in dental field) they see no reason for the additional X-ray! read more

This place is such a gem. I'm a very fearful patient. My dental health has taken a back seat recently. Being in the beauty industry, my appearance and engagement with others is very important. Teeth/smile play a very big role in that. I was referred to this office by a client of mine. Given my past experiences that were nothing short of awful, coupled with my having AFIB... dental procedures are not such a priority to me. However, immediately from the phone call, everything ran so smoothly. The staff was already very familiar with my insurance. They sent all the first time patient Paperwork via email prior to my first visit. All of this making my day at the Dentist all the less stressful. Upon meeting Dr. Abdullah, I immediately felt like I was in good hands. Naturally I expected a little judgment for not staying on top of my dental health. There was none of that. She explained to me short term goals as well as long term, "I'm your Dentist now"! It was super refreshing. I felt like we were in it together. We began with replacing old mercury fillings with nice, new white ones. She replaced 4 and re filled all in just 45 minutes! I was AMAZED! She provided me with a heart sensitive anesthetic. I felt nothing!!! After 36 years I FINALLY had a pleasurable experience at the Dentist! To find a Dentist who is not only thorough, but speedy... is such a rarity. Her staff has worked with my insurance and was able to get even more of the procedures covered than originally anticipated. The office is clean, everyone is so friendly and there's parking. Horrible experience... I would rate 0 stars if I could! I wouldn't recommend anyone to this place. They don't follow CDC guidelines for COVID-19. I never once got my temperature checked or the tablet wiped down after me that was handed directly to the next customer... and the dentist's mask kept falling down to his chin while speaking to me. Very unprofessional and unsanitary conditions. A community, crust rimmed mouthwash bottle in the bathroom. The girls up at the front desk have no idea what's going on or any communication skills towards their patients. Extremely rude and confrontational staff at the front desk... I don't even know how they are even working and have a job. No customer service and all about the money and no care for the patient. I got them trying to charge $331 for a scan that they kept pressing down my throat that I kept refusing and even signed an opt out form on. They brought me in and wasted my time for another sneaky attempt to try and make me pay for this scan. It took 3 weeks for a first appointment just for X-rays. I have a hole in my tooth in a lot of pain... with approval from my insurance company and after 2 months of waiting and still NOTHING for the actual procedure while I'm excruciating pain. If you are recommended to this office... I would run! Never had such a bad dental experience in my life! Also, if you have Medi-Cal, I would avoid this place at all cost... as soon as they find out that you have this for insurance, they treat you like a less than and put you on the back burner... like they don't have time for you because you're not dripping in cash. I never had a dentist on an emergency situation make you wait over 2 months on a tooth that is a completely open and exposed down to the nerve. I had to fill my tooth myself with over the counter filling to just help the air not touch it and every time they would book an appointment, it was another thing I needed to do before the procedure could actually happen. I didn't know suffering/agony was part of their "treatment plan". I thought being a dentist meant you fixed teeth... To say NO open and direct with them and to their "treatment plan" is really scary. I'm saying NO over and over and made to believe that it's my fault because I wouldn't agree to an unnecessary, OPTIONAL scan that they apparently make money off of... that I couldn't afford it, not interested in this and never even got the scan done...and to be pressured to pull out my card and pay before I could be seen. If to feel taken advantage of and discriminated against is part of "treatment plan" then please save me the headache. This place Is a complete SCAM and shouldn't be in business. I wish I read the reviews before wasting my time because many reviews with similar situations. It's sad when a business comments back to a negative review with a justification and no accountability, if it's the patient then why all these negative reviews saying this business is a rip off? I am literally writing this just a few hours after I had 3 extractions! (Two Wisdom teeth and molar pulled) Off the bat, I was in extreme pain. I called earlier this week and I believe it was Jessica who asked me if I was able to come in right away. I GLADLY SAID YES! It was such a relief. I got checked out and that's when we devised my plan of care and what to tackle first. I got antibiotics and pain meds for the week to get me all set for my extractions today! My appointment was at 8am. After prepping and getting all numbed up, those 3 teeth were gone, and I was checking out at 8:45am! Even though it was quick, that was the best dental experience I've ever encountered! I didn't feel a thing! Dr. Loye is absolutely amazing, and I can tell he is extremely seasoned in his profession and he made me feel so comfortable! A very nice man who truly cares about his patients... That office is just the bee's knees and I am going to recommend anyone to them! Staff is absolutely awesome as well! So professional, and empathic and understanding, and they'll break down your plan of care along with the benefits or repercussions if treated or not. They really want to help. Go see them! My first visit at Jamacha dental was when I was referred to them by bright now dental on Jamacha for a root canal procedure. Bright now dental had done some fillings in my mouth before I came to Jamacha dental. I was having pain where 2 of my cavities were filled at bright now dental 2 weeks prior. The office is a bit small but it is very clean. My first few visits I was waiting a long time before my procedures began. The first visit they did X-rays of their own and an exam .The Male Doctor Al or Abdullah is AMAZING. He literally explains every single detail of what is wrong with your teeth or concerns he has. Then explains in detail of how he is going to treat them. After the exam they told me I had not one, not two but SEVERAL cavities. Keep in mind I got several filled at bright now dental 2 weeks before coming to Jamacha dental. I asked the Dr. Al if he could look at the two cavities I had gotten filled that were hurting me. dr al said the dentist that did them did the fillings incorrect and left a gap and it was an easy fix and his wife would be in to fix the fillings. She came in and did the fillings correctly and I have not had pain since. But she was not as friendly And didn't explain things as well or as thoroughly, in and out quickly.On the initial visit Jamacha dental didn't have time to fix all of these cavities that appt because they are a very busy clinic but they did fix the two fillings that were done incorrect and hurting me. I then made them my primary dentist, I'm never going back to bright now dental. I scheduled my next appt for the cavies to be filled. My next visit the woman dr came in after I sat in the dental chair to close to 45 min and filled my cavities on one side of the mouth, I was booked for all of the cavities but they said they didn't have enough time to do them all so they'd do the one side now and the other side later. I was frustrated because when they made me the appt the lady dentist and I verified up front that they would all be done at once (the reassured me that they did) so i payed for daycare for my 3 toddlers & now I was going to have to do it again to come back for the other side of cavities when that's not what they originally told me would happen. i wasn't happy with how unorganized the booking was and the procedure planning to how long I sat in that chair before she came in to start. Next visit, Dr. Al came in and explained exactly how he was going to do the root canal, how long it would take, etc. he told me if at any time I have pain to let him know and he will numb me more. I did not feel a thing the entire root canal, you know pressure but no pain at all! He asked me how I was doing during the procedure, He worked on my tooth a very long time. He finished up & Told me it Turns out this root canal (which is on my top left rear molar) is hard to access with his tools and limited room. He was unable to get the last canal of my tooth. So, my root canal was 2/3 the way done (2 out of 3 canals) he didn't want to put a permanent filling because eventually the root canal could fail because that 3rd canal wasn't done. He was very meticulous about is work and I trust him and his judgement, He put a temporary filling in it and told me to call around and find an endodontist who has bigger microscopes and different tools that can access that 3rd canal to complete my root canal Or I could pay out of packet for a 3/4d CT scan ($250) of my entire mouth to give him a better view and then he could "possibly" finish the root canal which I didn't do since it wasn't guaranteed. I left that day to hoping to find an endodontist that takes dentical. Weeks pass, still couldn't find one who accepted dentical. The temporary filling fell out after two weeks and then a part of the tooth broke off (almost 3 months later). It was my fault 120% I couldn't find an endodontist and I couldn't afford one out of pocket. I called Jamacha dental and they gladly booked me an appt to get me in quickly since I was in pain. Dr. Al did an exam and said the tooth was decayed and there was nothing he was able to do to save the tooth and it needed to be removed, I said okay let's pull it right now. He then offered me to pay 500$ for a bone graft so that I don't loose bone after pulling the tooth so that later I could possibly put an implant, it was 500$ so I declined the graft. He explained the entire extraction process and while he was doing it he was explaining what he was doing & He constantly asked if there was any pain during the extraction and if there was he would numb the site more. He was very attentive and informative. They gave me a typed letter of aftercare instructions and a bag of gauze. This office will get you in super fast when your in pain or have a concern. Dr. Al is super meticulous, takes pride in his work, explains procedures in detail. He is friendly and honest. They are family owned and honestly deserve you to give them a shot, you won't be disappointed. read more
