Last couple of months this has to be one of the worst stores in the franchise. They run out of things so quickly and they don't get replaced. They haven't had dates in months and they run out of frozen yogurt. The two stars are for the couple of really friendly and helpful employees that work there. I buy about 7 smoothies a month minimum. This is the closest store to work, but I only go there when I'm desperate. Store supplies have improved over the past several months. So I started going back. Customer service has really dropped off. This Jamba Juice is conveniently located in the Smart and Final shopping center, near Starbucks. The quality of the drinks and the level of customer service is the same as you'd expect at any other Jamba Juice. Every time I've come here, I've had a pleasant experience. I have not been in any Jamba Juice since my last review about them, over a year ago. Not much has changed. I went in on Thursday afternoon around 12:45pm, they had 3 employees on the floor, 2 of the 3 were new. The new employees seemed to be very new, maybe they were just hired last week. The girl who has been there for awhile did not look happy at all. Which I can tell rubbed off on the 2 new employees. They never smiled, talked to any of the customers, didn't ask for my name when placing my order, and just called out my order without any eye contact or even a thank you. I feel bad for the workers here, I have no idea what's going on, but if you can't smile at work, then why are you there? Also, why do they have a sign asking people to YELP, if your not going to at least smile and say thank you??? read more

They are sooooooooo slow !!! I waited 20 mins for two drinks and like 5 people that came after me got their drinks before me. The worst Jamba Juice. Stood at the front counter for 10 minutes with NO acknowledgement AT ALL. And they saw me there. Just continued to ignore me. When they finally took my order I went to pay with a credit card and they said cash only. NO WHERE DO THEY HAVE POSTED THE CREDIT CARD SYSTEM IS DOWN CASH ONLY. I come here at least twice a week. Everyone is always very friendly with a great smile and GREAT customer service skills, but for the 1st time .... I was Very disappointed DYLAN had NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS...horrible attitude... If I were the owner I would re-evaluate his customer service skills because if all your employees were like him I would definitely NEVER go back. Average or maybe slightly below for a Jamba Juice. The cashier was not very friendly or inviting and looked annoyed when I wasn't sure what I wanted to order. I decided to get the same Strawberries Wild I usually get, and got it in about 4 minutes with no line. The drink was okay...I've had it made way better. It was kind of watered down and looked like it was already melting when I got it handed to me. There's lots of parking because its in a big plaza; located next to Wells Fargo and H&R Block. This store is a 50/50 shot if you want oatmeal in the morning. Jamba was open since 7:30 a.m. We got there at 8:50. Phillip told us that he didn't know when the oatmeal would be ready because they had other priorities to attend to. Phillip and Melody were very condescending, unprofessional and rude. My wife and I explained to them that they were being unprofessional. As we left the store they laughed at us. I really enjoy Jamba Juice products but don't get excited about patronizing a store that doesn't appreciate its customers. read more

Every single time I call this location the phone is either disconnected or the call just drops, can't believe a chain this huge cannot afford a better telephone system ! I always place orders online and I would like for once to be able to call in and ask for ice and actually get through. I've been coming to this Jamba Juice for years now and it sucks that after today I won't be going back. I went in this morning and ordered a smoothie & oatmeal...only to be sitting there for nearly 20 minutes and they never even made my drink. They got through making 6 drinks of customers that had gotten there after I did...when the girl realized she forgot about me and then asked me wait, what did you order? ...she should know what I ordered ..she took my order... I figured at this point I wasn't going to wait any longer, so I asked for a refund. Not once did anyone apologize for forgetting to make my drink or give me my oatmeal ..they told me it would take a few days for my refund and then said thank you to me? The juice is fine (though overpriced) however the customer service policies are absolutely asinine. My gift card wouldn't read. After five minutes they told me I'd have to call corporate. The problem is the last time I tried that their corporate customer service told me the store should type in the number. Today the store rep says they can't do that without the GM present. Are you serious? If the register lets you enter a gift card number, why can't you let your employees do that? So now I have to guess when the GM might be in the store? Ridiculous. Extremely disappointed with the Duarte location. My son and I used to come weekly on weekends for fresh squeezed orange juice. At some point their orange juicer became broken. After several weekly visits and leaving empty-handed I asked when they were going to fix the juicer. An employee replied that they did not know because the owner didn't want to spend money. The answer seemed to make perfect sense considering the length of time the juicer was broken. We decided to not visit this location ever again and didn't go for months (perhaps, a full year). Today - after several months not visiting this location - my son asked for fresh squeezed OJ. I guess the memory of prior bad experience has faded and we decided to visit this location again. We stopped by at 8:10 pm or 50 minutes before closing time. I. The cashier Samantha offered OJ they squeezed "30 MINUTES" ago, but I insisted on fresh OJ from the juicer. Samantha called manager Rachel, who said the machine was broken (again!!) and that the last time they used it was 5pm, which was more than 3 HOURS prior to my visit. Clearly, 30 minutes I was told by the cashier a minute before was not the truth. I don't know why anyone would want to pay JJ price for juice squeezed 3 hours or 30 minutes or even 30 seconds before purchase, but for me pre-squeezed juice has no appeal. I want to see oranges go through the machine. That's why juicer is there right behind the register and that's why the juicer has clear front - it is for customers to see their juice being squeezed in front of them! If the owner instructs his employees to pre-squeeze OJ, they are hoping for a dumb customer to buy it, since bottled juice at a supermarket (even organic) costs less than a cup of OJ at Jamba Juice. II. When I asked to cancel my transaction, Rachel said it was canceled. I asked for a receipt and was given a slip that showed no items or the amount being refunded. It said REPRINT at the top and showed the amount of $0. I wanted a normal return receipt showing details behind the refund, but Rachel, after spending a long time poking at the register screen and printer buttons while looking completely incompetent, was unable to produce one. I also was not given the receipt for the original purchase. Samantha said I declined the receipt at the time of purchase, but I have zero recollection of her asking me whether i wanted one. I had to take a picture of the merchant copy for me to have record. Obviously, the way Rachel handled the cancellation didn't make me feel comfortable that the refund was processed correctly. I'll follow up with the credit card. III. The "refund" receipt showed cashier's name as Chrystal, yet there were only two employees at the store who used that register during my visit - cashier introduced herself as Samantha and the manager as Rachel. I didn't see a third employee at the store at all. When I inquired who Chrystal was, Rachel said that Chrystal was the person whose login they were using. That much I figured out by myself. Why they were logged into the register with someone else's credentials is beyond my understanding. Handling cash drawer normally requires an individual to log in. Who'd be responsible if there is missing cash? Chrystal? IV. At the time of purchase I had trouble entering my phone number for JJ Rewards because the touch screen was not calibrated properly, and every time I pressed 1 it entered 4. I ended up having to press on the phone number field itself to get it to enter 1. V. During my visit the store smelled strong of chlorine. There was a bucket with a mop next to the register. I prefer not to smell chlorine when I purchase food, but I guess employees here have other preferences. I occasionally use JJ at Hastings Ranch, and I consider it to be much better than the Duarte location. Unfortunately, Duarte location is closer to me, but I do not want to come here. I sent this same review to JJ Corporate. If I am contacted, I'll guide them to the Yelp page. In such competitive field, it is unconscionable that this store as-is is allowed to represent franchise. Overall, this was a bad experience at the end of a long day when I was simply looking to get a quick treat for my son and myself. I don't think the owner of this location understands how to run this type of store which shows in the store having non-working equipment (orange juicer and JJ Rewards touch screen) as well as in the employee behavior. Mmm mmm. I love Jamba Juice, especially when they have BOGO offers. They yell "Tip tip hooray!" whenever they get tippe. Drinks come up nice and full and smoothies are freshly made. Cashier doesn't always ask for my name - don't know if they're supposed to. Still, I'm a fan of smoothies here - Strawberry Nirvana, Strawberries Wild, anything strawberries! And even after all these years, they'll still give you one free boost. Prices jumped up a little, recently. Still, its a great deal when you have a BOGO coupon. read more
