Wow since when is it $8 for a Jamba Juice!? I suddenly had a craving like the old times when I used to always get their soy matcha smoothie and decided to order it. It wasn't on the menu anymore but the staff was nice enough to remember the name of the drink for me. I ordered it and unfortunately it wasn't as good as I remember. The matcha flavor wasn't as strong and I think the ratio of too much soy milk made it taste a bit dilute. I've always heard but never been to Jamba Juice until today. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the ladies working here. Customer service was definitely amazing. There is a good amount of non dairy options which was nice to see. Strawberry Swirl - Sweet but not too sweet. Tasted more of the apple then the strawberry or banana. Nice Jamba Juice in small Plaza next to Starbucks and Safeway. Staff very welcoming and clean. Many items on shelf aren't there due to covid. No seating is allowed. 7 people are allowed while ordering or waiting. I got the Green and Ginger smoothie. Sweet with a hint of fresh ginger. Notice they juice a juice base and frozen fruits. So impressed by Amber! Not only did she have a smile on her face and was so kind but she didn't get flustered when busy. To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand how excellent the Pirate's Booty and Cream Protein smoothie is. The recipe is extremely complicated, and without a solid grasp of hegelian philosophy most of the ingredients will be inconceivably undetectable beyond the sharp, cheddar taste of the pirate's booty. The smoothie is only offered to those who use Jamba Insider awards specifically at this location, which is deftly woven into the smoothie's characterization- its influence draws heavily from Jeremy, the former manager. The customers understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of the flavor, to realize that they're not just savory- they embody the Northgate location's excellence. There were 4 plus orders ahead of mine and two after I had my drink in hand (keep in mind that this is in a span of 10 minutes). Okay, I'll admit that drinking one of these concoctions is better for your health than Coca-Cola. But really, this is not a gourmet health food experience that they proclaim it to be. This chain is the Starbucks of juice joints. All the ingredients are frozen or vacuum dried. That means 90% the nutritional value is looongg gone. And the prices?? I've spent less money on a decent quality Mom & Pop Mexican restaurant 3 course lunch. I certainly wouldn't use Jamba Juice for a substitute for a meal, but for a snack or little pick-me-up, it does the trick. Clearly by the number of eye rolls by employees these kids are making minimum wage. There were a couple of polite staff people though, so its unprofessionalism isn't across the board & I still come here on occasion. I walked into Jamba Juice tonight at 7:45 pm - fifteen minutes before closing. I was the only customer. I was immediately hit with an incredibly strong chemical odor. A young male employee greeted me, and I commented on the toxic smell. He apologized and said it was bleach. The odor was so strong and so noxious that I had to leave, which is unfortunate since I really wanted a drink. It smelled much stronger than bleach to me, but whatever it was was extremely strong and no doubt dangerous to inhale. First off, cleaning with strong chemicals shouldn't start until the store is closed, not while customers are still coming in wanting something to eat. Secondly, I feel sorry for the employees that are forced to breathe those unhealthy fumes and don't have the option to simply leave, like I did. Not only that, but for a company that sells supposedly healthy drinks, they shouldn't be using such unhealthy chemicals. Such chemicals don't just go away - they leech into food, cups, etc. Shame on Jamba Juice. I most certainly won't be back. read more

Simply put--I love Jamba Juice! They have so many options from fruity smoothies to more sugary, sorbet-like ones. I also love that they have an assortment of cool, fun smoothies that aren't even on the menu. I can always rely on Jamba Juice if I want a quick and easy breakfast, something refreshing to drink, etc. I've heard friends complain that they aren't the healthiest and don't use fresh fruit, but that doesn't bother me at all! If I was looking for something full of nutritional value I would go somewhere else or make a smoothie myself. Moreover, they do have all-fruit options and smoothies with veggies. Out of all their options, I would say that strawberry surfrider is one of my favorites! Every time I've come in here there's usually one or two people working. Smoothies usually take 10-15 to make and there's always a good-sized line. Today seemed hopeful, I walked in and there was 4 people working. Only one person ahead of us who was about to get their order. However, we quickly found out that the system wasn't working and the cashier couldn't take card. That wasn't so bad, that happens. The cashier had to write the price down, use the cash register as a calculator then figure out the change for them self. The cashier also only had a set amount of cash to use as change, but had to pull out some money from beneath the counter and the tip jar then mark down what he took. It took a good amount of time and other customers had come in and lined up at this time while two employees (of the four) went to the back. One employee was then left to make smoothies. Our drinks, a small and medium acai super antioxidant, still took around 10 mins to make. The smoothies are good and that's why I come back. It's a busy Jamba Juice so I wish it would step up its game with consistently good and timely service. read more

My recent visit was a few days ago and I can't stop comparing it too the other Jamba in Greenbrae which seems much better staffed and cleaner. I had hesitations as I waited for my order to finish and I could see the place really needs a heavy duty cleaning . The smoothies seemed almost toothache sweet in comparison to what I've usually had at other stores . Years ago this was my daily fix when working in San Rafael. Ughhh. I love Jamba Juice as much as the next person but I have always gotten the worst service here!! I was in one day during a rush and got cut in front of by an employee. AN EMPLOYEE!! She did not say excuse me and I was about to order my drink and she just butts in and starts talking to the cashier like it was some gossip time. Not cool. I was also one day in a big rush for work. I had my order ready and the person in front of me was new. Its understandable to help new customers but you should pull them aside atleast so that the flow gets going. But instead tells me to hold on and just stands there and stares blankly at the new customer as they read the menu.
