    Grilled birria burrito. Excellent

I'm back again and excited to try more menu items. The only thing I don't like about this place is the music. Not my taste. The atmosphere is interesting as the artwork, chandeliers, etc make it unique. It's a beautiful restaurant. The servers are friendly and I am accumulating points on their app.

    Bees Knees and Aldermen tacos

We were surprised to see Agave & Rye took over the space where our favorite restaurant, Paladar, was located. We loved Paladar so much and quit going after COVID. We try different Mexican restaurants and still have not found one we love until now. Agave & Rye decor is beautiful with colorful murals on the walls, chandeliers throughout the restaurant and statues everywhere. The restaurant and staff are very welcoming and because we got there before 5 pm there was no wait and we enjoyed the Happy Hour plus Taco Tuesday Specials. They do offer other Daily Specials that we plan to come back for. The drink menu is extensive with lots of exotic drinks with and without alcohol. We started with the pick 3 dips and chips which consisted of guac, queso and medium spicy salsa. The chips were freshly made and very crunchy and the dips were all made fresh and delicious. There was also a pick 3 taco, a single taco option or make your own taco. We did a pick 3 and 2 single tacos. You can order tacos with a "Love Cushion" which we found out was a soft and hard taco with guac, queso or other filling in between. We decided on The Bees Knees chicken taco, The Alderman a carne asada steak taco and The Happy Pappy pork carnita taco. All the tacos were filled with meat, veggies, rice, cheese and "Cowboy Candy" which was pickled jalapeños. I tried the OG margarita made fresh and served in a skeleton glass. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert but will definitely be trying the Tiramisu Tres Leches Cake drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauce....Yum! Everything from service, food, drinks and decor were Top Notch. Highly recommend Agave & Rye!

    Kung Pao Chicken tacos

Obviously, I ordered tacos! Got the Kung Pao chicken tacos which were surprisingly good. I wanted to try something a little different than a typical taco, and this was definitely that! The chicken was tender and flavorful, the double shell was a great touch since it gave the crisp needed in a taco but also the outer flour tortilla complimented that very well. I also ordered a side of mac n cheese and it was nice and creamy but the flavor wasn't up to my standards. It had a nice little kick to it but other than that, it was lacking a bit. We had a group of about 7-8 people so we had two servers helping us. They were great! Made some suggestions and explained the lengthy menu to us. The decor is interesting, bordering on risqué but not vulgar. A modern art vibe with classic lighting and vibrant colors. Really cool vibe. Parking is tough since it's a larger shopping center with many shops and restaurants but a little walk back to the car is always good after stuffing your face!

This restaurant has such a fun & unique atmosphere, I love all the art & decor. The staff are very friendly and helpful with explaining the menu and answering all questions. The tacos have some very interesting topping combinations, but I think the flavors pair so well together! We started with the "Munchies" Quesa-Birria Irish Nachos, my husband ordered the Queso-Birria Tacos and I did The Alderman's Escort, The Gangsta, & The Love Shack. I also order the Fake & Flirty mocktail and the flavor and taste was great! This restaurant has Gluten free options on the menu and the staff was really knowledgeable and helpful with substituting and making suggestions for making things gluten free. The manager told me the chip fryer is dedicated and if you ask they can make the fries in the chip fryer so they are safe.

I was visiting Cleveland and discovered this spot near the hotel I was staying at (see Aloft Cleveland Beachwood) while looking for takeout. I ordered at 9:45pm and received my food at 10:15pm. I ordered the Alderman's Escort Taco, the OG Corn Fritters, and the Egg Fried Rice. Starting strong with the Taco, it was beautifully made, filled with the perfect amount to make each bite feel like a full bite. I will say, if you don't like spicy, I would avoid this taco, the Spicy Chile de Arbol Salsa definitely lives up to the name. However, if you are a spicy person, I highly recommend trying this taco! The heat complimented the flavors seamlessly. 5/5 Next up is the OG Corn Fritters with Serrano Aioli. I'm a huge corn fritter fan and will typically order them whenever I see them on a menu, so I'm happy to say I was not disappointed with these. They were fried to perfection and had great flavor. The Serrano Aioli paired perfectly with the fritters, the heat from the aioli added an incredible layer to the snack. 5/5 As much as I'd loved to say I enjoyed everything I ordered, the Egg Fried Rice left much to be desired. For $6, the portion was small and the rice and egg were both dry. The flavor was a huge disappointment after the flavors on the fritters and the taco. Maybe the rice is better fresh and I just got an old batch, but for $6 I expected more from it. 1/5

Walked in at 6 pm on a Monday during taco week and there was only one other table occupied. Should've known better but the vibe/look of the place was cool and I've heard good things so we decided to stay. Service was good and we didn't feel rushed but the food was way below average. Brussels were burnt and bland. The asian cauliflower actually had great texture but was also so bland. For the tacos we tried a variety.. the chicken taco was just ok but had cowboy candy on it which was good but everything else was sub par. The pulled pork taco had burnt fried onions on top and was literally dripping in grease and the birria taco was about 1/4 filled with actual meat. Everything tasted like grease so sad to say we will not be returning.

    OG Margarita. Delicious.

Took out-of-town friends here because it's quirky. It's elegant. It's fun! It has vegetarian and vegan selections. We walked in at Happy Hour 3-6 p.m. week days. Gourmet tacos were delicious and big and $1 off! A corn tortilla is filled with goodies and placed in a flour tortilla, so they are filling. We each got one, and that was plenty. Mine was The Cat's Meow. The Andouille sausage was hot, but I was able to eat it with all of the other ingredients, and it was good. My OG margarita was half off! Domestic cans were $2.50. See my photo for more savings. There are tables and booths, and a patio. You can sit at the full bar. Come dressed up or as you are. The restrooms are cool. The Eton parking lot is big. Recommend.

Great place in a high end shopping center with both unique decor and unique takes on cocktails. Unfortunately, at the height of lunch hour we were the only ones there which does not bode well. The tacos are creative and tasty. The servers personable and informative and the manager fun to chat with. Cmon people, enjoy this place before economics turn to history!

Filthy table we were sat at.

This was our second time here. We came for a late lunch both times. We do enjoy the tacos here. My favorites are the Smokeshow and Easy Ranchero. The tortilla chips are good, but they are so thick and crunchy it's a jaw workout. Now the bad and possibly the reason we won't return. The service is terrible, slow, nonexistent, both times. There was one poor girl seating people, taking orders, and bartending on 1/3. She was nice enough and I can't blame her for anything. She was alone and doing her best, but it was so slow for everything. It was probably 25 minutes from getting sat to getting our Pepsi. And it's dirty which is the biggest problem. We were sat at a table that clearly hadn't been wiped down. Sticky beverage marks everywhere, noticeable crumbs and food. I got up and got my own napkins to wipe the table. Look at how dirty the napkin is after one swipe. Don't know if other locations are the same, but we might have to try one if there's a next time.

Terrible set up at the front windows the benches are connected to the person behind you and it put our seats pulled away from the table. We requested another table by the bar. The place was TOO BRIGHT, ruined the feel of it and highlighted the lack of details on cleanliness. The food was okay, nothing special. Luckily it's not pricy, but probably won't be back for any reason.

Very good experience for dinner. The interior design of this place is in itself as stimulating as the food. Large place with booths, tables, bar seating, and an outside patio. Service was fast and friendly. Enjoyed the Elote (corn appetizer) which is a must. Amazing flavor. Chips and queso are also very good. Wife had the filthy fajita which was fresh and tasted great. Tried a flight of tacos including the Rooster (fried chicken/mac-n-cheese), Snitch (the cod)and Plain Jane (regular beef). All were fresh and tasty. Great selection of cocktails. Recommend a visit here.

This place has a very cool vibe as soon as you cross the threshold. Check out my pics and be prepared for a cool visual experience. I love every inch! The service is excellent, at least it was with Rianna. She is a sweet bundle of professional joy, continually checking without being pesty or a nuisance. She gives her opinion on food and drink items, but only when asked, specifically, and I appreciate that! Lastly, let go to nibbles and sips... the only reason I didn't give a 5. But then, it's a RESTARANT, right? We started with the world's tiniest corn fritters. Bursting with flavor but only 5 of these bite-sized balls? We also had the obscene Birria Irish Nachos. Eat em while they're warm bc once they get cold, gross. Maybe a smaller plate and lesser price, eh? Lastly, the Bomb taco. It was def good but the pricing for these extravagant tacos are mind-boggling. Dude, these are tacos! $8-13 EACH! Dessert... yep, we had it, and he ate it... but there are too many calories. I'm just looking at it... so no comment Now, onto the imbibes... Seriously, guys, the drinks are way overpriced for the portions. I love a good craft cocktail and a greater martini, but the bartender has either been given outrageous guidelines or they can't make a decent drink. A martini that comes out as short as mine did is just insulting for $15. The Agave Epic Rita comes with a shot of Gran Gala (disguised orange liquer), but I don't think there's actually alcohol in the margaritas! Who y'all trying to fool. What i did not know is this is Chain. Perhaps why the problems with the drinks. I may give it another visit, but the jury has to turn the verdict!

The evening was stellar! We were greeted by super friendly staff. Someone enthusiastically escorted us to our very spacious booth where McKenzie was our server, and she was a ROCKSTAR!! We each had one flavor-filled appetizer, two generous-sized tacos, and two beverages. We added a side and a dessert. All of it was fantastic! When you visit (and you definitely must), know that my photos pale compared to the experience of the food, music, and. the most vivid, captivating artwork and decor. Highly recommend!

This time, I brought my family along for lunch, and it did not disappoint! We took advantage of their happy hour specials, which included half-off pizzas, select appetizers, and drinks. We started with the Street Corn Nachos and added grilled chicken. They were absolutely incredible--easily some of the best nachos we've ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and every bite was delicious. We also ordered the whipped feta, which was simply divine and a must-try. For our entrées, one person ordered the pepperoni pizza and really enjoyed it. I had the sausage pasta, which was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly light while still being incredibly satisfying. The third entrée was the Thai noodles , and it was another hit. Everyone commented on how fresh and well-prepared their meal was. The service, as always, was impeccable. We were greeted immediately and seated right away. What really stands out about this restaurant is the teamwork. Everyone pitches in, whether it's bringing out food, clearing plates, or noticing your water glass is getting low. It doesn't matter if they're your server or not--they make sure you're taken care of, and that level of hospitality really makes a difference. The restaurant is also spotless, and I love that the open kitchen allows you to watch the team preparing the food. It adds to the overall experience and shows how much care goes into every dish. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or happy hour, this place consistently delivers. Great food, outstanding service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a beautiful space make this one of my favorite restaurants in the Cleveland area. An absolutely fantastic visit today…read more Our daughter is moving out of town, and for her "going-away" dinner she wanted one more visit to Cru. What a wonderful choice it turned out to be. From beginning to end, this was truly a remarkable dining experience. Every time we visit, it seems like both the food and the service continue to get even better. We had reserved a table on the outdoor patio and were seated promptly. We absolutely love the patio--its ambiance is second to none and, in our opinion, it's one of the best outdoor dining spaces in the city. This time, we decided to keep things light and ordered a selection of appetizers, a cheese board, and desserts. Since the menu changes four times a year, there's little point in listing every dish, as they'll likely be different by the time someone reads this review. A huge compliment goes to the entire kitchen staff. Every appetizer was beautifully prepared, and they even made a special zucchini blossom for our daughter, which was a wonderful surprise. A special thank you also goes to the pastry chef. The three desserts were outstanding, and the personal touch of writing "Good Luck in Chicago" in chocolate on one of the dessert plates made the evening even more memorable. We also want to recognize both sommeliers. During a previous visit, one of them had prepared an incredible house-made bar nut mix that we still talk about. We asked whether it was still available, and although he explained it was no longer on the menu, he went out of his way to prepare it for us on the spot. Our daughter absolutely loved it. Our second sommelier (whose name I unfortunately forgot) was equally wonderful. She took the time to recommend several excellent Pinot Grigios after my daughter asked for suggestions, and her knowledge and enthusiasm were greatly appreciated. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to our server, Julie, who provided warm, attentive, and professional service throughout the evening. She helped make an already special occasion even more enjoyable. As we were leaving, my daughter summed it up perfectly: "This was probably my favorite visit out of all the times we've been here." For a restaurant we've enjoyed many times over the years, that's about the highest compliment we could give. Thank you to everyone at Cru for making our daughter's farewell dinner so memorable. We wish you continued success and can't wait for our next visit.

I also had a vegetarian bowl with lemon kale & the chili tofu. It was SO good! It was fresh and something different. My fiancée had the carne asada burrito and his biggest complaint was too many peppers. I would recommend this place! I really enjoyed it and the people there really made a difference.
