Delicious and kinda healthy food tonight for dinner. Super tasty very spicy coconut shrimp pineapple tacos. Tasty not very spicy Camerones yucatecos with plenty of veggies and rice.

We wanted to try a New Mexican restaurant so we find this on Yelp and it had good reviews. We were seated quickly for a Friday night. The booth we were seated in seat was completely caved in. The lights were so dim and we could barely see the menu. Our server came over to greet us, however she spoke so quietly I had to have her repeat herself several times to understand what she was asking. I order a Michelada with Modelo Especial and she provided it with Modelo Negra which made the beer dark. The chips and salsa came out and the salsa tasted like tomato sauce. Our food came out quickly. I ordered the soup and it was warm, and super salty. The biarria quesadilla was just meat barely cheese. My boyfriend said the chicken in chicken burrito was good but the tostada was made from a broke taco shell not a tostada shell. Not sure we will be back anytime soon.

In the time it took between our orders I finished and had time to write this - red flag...read review for more

Behind an attractive interior and slightly below average food quality lies the Spector of poor service. This place was an easy walk from our hotel. We were seated quickly and ordered. The waitress struggled repeating our order back- it was the tip of the iceberg. My order arrived alone, quickly but missing the black beans. Our second entree arrived about five minutes later but it was wrong. Another five minutes and it arrived. Beans gave new dimension to bland. I'd not come here by choice, maybe if someone else paid.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. The best margaritas without a question! Come here all the time, service is always stellar. It feels like an authentic Mexican restaurant and I enjoy the decor. Highly recommend!

Chile Relleno & Chicken Enchilada combo

Not recommended. This was a 2nd visit and it hasn't improved. I ordered the Chile Relleno & Chicken Enchilada combo. The Chile Relleno was not deep fried, rather the pepper was stuffed with a log of cheese and I am assuming broiled. The cheese was not melted, the pepper was crunchy, and overall barely warm. The chicken enchilada was not fully stuffed ... maybe half stuffed ... and again, barely warm. My companion ordered the quesadilla sampler and received a chicken quesadeilla. She asked when she placed the order if it came with sour cream and the server said, yes. Well, it came with sour cream drizzle. My companion had to flag down our server and ask for sour cream which was brought. The server never asked if we were satisfied with our meals and since I returned mine with the poblano uneaten, she should have had a clue that something was wrong. Then again, so should we have known better as the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived at 12:30. If you have a hankering for mexican, try somewhere else.

Great customer service, food portions were plentiful and Mexican cocktail drinks were made with perfection! Location is conveniently close to everything nearby From retail plazas, interstate highways and local hospital(s). In overall, the service may be slow at times but always feel free to wave or give a signal for the servers to arrive to your table. other than that, the Tres Portillos restaurant delievers authenticity, hospitality and good mood food.

I've been meaning to go here since I saw one of their ads, then seeing the reviews, made me even want to go. First, use your check in feature, you get free guacamole or queso dipping sauce for free. Everything we had was fresh! From the margaritas, the (free) guacamole, to the complementary corn chips we got, everything was very tasty. If there were any "gripes" it would be that her margarita had mint stems, preferred less, and the black beans had minimal flavor. Otherwise, the place is spacious and very much well-kept up. Keep this on your short list, I have a feeling we'll be back.

Loved the food and the ambiance. I'll definitely be back. I ordered the Street Taco, Mexican corn, and Sangria

I come here maybe once or twice a year. The food is fine. The service is fine. Prices...uh, ok. Anyway, I realize restaurants operate on razor thin margins but, really, there comes a time when you gotta face up to the fact that your establishment needs some sprucing up. It is TIME to address these saggy, lumpy, sorry booth seats (see photo). They were bad last time I was here and are only getting worse. Also, I didn't get a picture of it, but what did you have in mind when you installed the lighting? Dreary basement ambiance, perhaps? Eek. Fix stuff!

This time, I brought my family along for lunch, and it did not disappoint! We took advantage of their happy hour specials, which included half-off pizzas, select appetizers, and drinks. We started with the Street Corn Nachos and added grilled chicken. They were absolutely incredible--easily some of the best nachos we've ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and every bite was delicious. We also ordered the whipped feta, which was simply divine and a must-try. For our entrées, one person ordered the pepperoni pizza and really enjoyed it. I had the sausage pasta, which was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly light while still being incredibly satisfying. The third entrée was the Thai noodles , and it was another hit. Everyone commented on how fresh and well-prepared their meal was. The service, as always, was impeccable. We were greeted immediately and seated right away. What really stands out about this restaurant is the teamwork. Everyone pitches in, whether it's bringing out food, clearing plates, or noticing your water glass is getting low. It doesn't matter if they're your server or not--they make sure you're taken care of, and that level of hospitality really makes a difference. The restaurant is also spotless, and I love that the open kitchen allows you to watch the team preparing the food. It adds to the overall experience and shows how much care goes into every dish. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or happy hour, this place consistently delivers. Great food, outstanding service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a beautiful space make this one of my favorite restaurants in the Cleveland area. If you're visiting the Pinecrest area, do yourself a favor and make this a stop--you won't regret it!

Since we were hungry, we followed another yelper's advice of getting an appetizer since we were warned the mains can take 30-40 minutes. Ordered the cracklin wings--got the ghost pepper dry rub which was recommended by the staff who also reassured me that it wasn't too spicy given that it was also sweet and came with ranch. Tasted great, super crispy on the outside, chicken not the most juicy but still tender. 4/5. Also ordered the truffle orcchiette, pork chop, and heirloom carrots. The truffle orcchiette had a great al dente texture but surprisingly compared to the other yelper reviews, was saltier than expected. 4/5 Favorites were definitely the pork chop and heirloom carrots. The pork chop came without the bone, already chopped up, and was the he most tender pork chop I've had. 5/5 The carrots were so well seasoned, with a great charred taste and came with an addicting puree. 5/5 Service was fantastic, with great recommendations. While the birthday guest was away from the table, I did sneakily ask if they do anything for birthdays, and the staff said that they do a scoop of ice cream. Since the sticky toffee pudding already came with a scoop of ice cream, they were considerate to do 2 cookies instead--the cookies weren't too sweet and reminded me of brownie batter. Sticky toffee pudding was good. 4/5 Restaurant is located in Pinecrest so parking available as free parking in a garage about a block away or as pay by mobile street parking. Ambience is great, perfect for a nice meal for a date or hangout. Overall a great place to celebrate a special occasion due to all the good food choices and staff who know how to treat birthday guests well.

I told him I would arrive within 40 mins and he said to just walk-in. The website says this is fine dining so for someone to answer the phone and discourage reservations was skeptical. When we arrived we were told since we didn't have reservations we had to sit outdoors. Now the forecast said rain in 10mins. So we told the lady at the desk that I spoke to the man that also at the door about reservations. She said no problem we waited about 10 minutes and we were seated. Our waitress Abby was amazing! I wanted a wellness drink and they were all out but she suggested other mocktail options. She then asked if we wanted tap water or sparkling bottle water. I was confused that they don't have filtered water. We got the tap and it smelled like sewer. We then asked for a bottle of sparkling water. And realized the glass cups smelled bad. If you want a wellness drink arrive early when they open around 11am. It was 1pm when I ordered my food. I ordered the Farmer's breakfast, it came with Two eggs any style, choice of crispy bacon or chicken sausage, grilled sourdough, potatoes. The potatoes were crumbs and left overs, a scoop of potatoes. For a $19 meal I couldn't believe what I was being served. The chicken sausage was amazing! The sourdough bread was grilled with no oil or butter. I asked for jelly thinking they would have compote. Instead they have mini jars of jelly. The main difference is that jam is a shelf-stable, fruit-puree preserve made with high amounts of sugar and added pectin. Compote is a chunkier, less sugary fruit sauce cooked quickly without pectin and meant to be eaten fresh. My husband had the Last Chicken Sandwich, which he said was good but the sandwich didn't come with a side just a $18 chicken sandwich that tasted wonderful.

Eight years worth of Fairmount moments later, this review is well overdue. AMBIANCE: The ambiance allows you to slow down and enjoy your company. The restaurant is dim lit, has fireplaces, and loungey atmosphere. It somehow feels warm and I heard a lot of people refer to it as a second home (people are always so friendly here!). There is ample space - three bars, main dining space, and huge outdoor oasis bar. Nestled in Cedar Fairmount neighborhood, you'll also be able to enjoy historic neighborhood. There are seating arrangements if you're craving company or want to enjoy your date. Seating options include couches by the fireplace, tables, and high tops. Fairmount is delightful during every season. During the summer you can enjoy the bar and patio. In the winter you can dine at the igloos. I prefer all seasons here. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu at Fairmount is impressive and has exciting seasonal/weekly additions. You'll never get bored. The cocktails here are refined, very boozy, and very well crafted. The food is seriously delicious, and consistent every single time. I've been impressed with every dish. The dishes and drinks frequently follow the seasons. During my latest visit I enjoyed Butter Pecan Warm Cider with bourbon ($12, so bold and boozy, tastes like fall). I also ordered Fig Trouble Little China ($15, a more rich version of Old Fashioned, so delicious). I also tasted Short Rib & Risotto for the very first time ($28, such a delicious dish, every bite was just amazing). My favorites? Ah, so hard! I'll go with the Fairmount Burger! It's angus beef burger with bacon-fig chutney. It's so delicious! I can't even be serious about meat at the other burger places, this is easily the best burger in the city. My seasonal favorite? Kevin McCallister seasonal drink that resembles coquito or eggnog. The drink is topped with rice paper that includes the design of Kevin from Home Alone. It's such a fun tradition! I look forward to this drink all year and always tell the world about it! SERVICE: The service is excellent. I haven't been anywhere where service is right on point every single time. Everyone is nice - the owner, hosts, and waitstaff. You truly feel seen and like the most important guest. I've visited previously while on dates and frequently dine here solo, always had the most pleasant service. EVENTS: Many people book events here for their non-profits or companies. As far as individual events, Fairmount hosts a fun NYE party every year! PARKING: Onsite parking lot is available at the back of the building. You can enter through the front doors on Cedar or right through the parking lot door. There are numerous reasons why I love the Fairmount. I consider it to be the best dining experience in the Cedar Fairmount neighborhood of Cleveland Heights. I also love how the owner Jake is very engaged in the community and is incredibly friendly with the surrounding business owners. I'll choose this place again and again for calming ambiance, crafted cocktails, and delicious food. To many more years of Fairmount and at Fairmount!

It wasn't our first choice, but it ended up being a decent find--especially if you're in the mood for creative tacos. We arrived well after the lunch rush and there were only a handful of patrons in the restaurant, so it was fairly quiet. We ordered chips and salsa to start, but unfortunately they never made it to the table. When our food arrived and I asked about them, our waitress admitted she had forgotten to write it down. The food also seemed to take a bit longer than expected considering the restaurant wasn't busy. Because of that, the service was a little underwhelming. That said, the tacos themselves were the highlight of the visit. I ordered three of the smaller tacos, but they packed a lot of flavor. My picks were The Yoda, The Love Shack, and The Filthy Fajita--all creative and really well done. Small in size, but definitely big on flavor. Overall, the food was solid, but the service could use some improvement. If I lived in the area, I could definitely see this being a good happy hour spot to grab tacos and drinks with friends.
