This review is based on my experience sending my kids to this dentist office for many years. Unfortunately, Dr. Fitzgerald seems to have taken a permanent leave of absence, and the Dr.s that have replaced him are not great. I love the hygienist that we have seen for years, but every dentist that we have seen that isn't Dr. Fitzgerald has resulted in a traumatic experience for my kids. I already had to start taking my daughter to a different dentist a couple of years ago, and now my son had a traumatic dental experience and we will not be bringing him back. Again, office staff is excellent and the two stars I've given are for them. But Dr. Fitzgerald abandoned his practice and it really shouldn't be using his name anymore, since he's totally gone. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Fitzgerald's for over 7 years. His office always has the latest and greatest high-tech gear. I love the computer screen above each station where he can pull up your records to zoom in and out of x-rays in seconds. For those of us that grew up with the dentist taking an x-ray, developing the film in the back room, and then putting it on a light box, this is awesome! When I first saw him back in 2002, he found not just a couple of cavities, but 5 of them and fixed them so beautifully, you can't tell that I've had any work done. Since then, I haven't had any problems with cavities and I trust him completely. The other day I went to see him after talking to his associate, Dr. Chang, on a Sunday. It's wonderful that they gave me weekend advice. I woke up to find that a couple of my teeth actually wiggle a little if I touch them! Dr. Fitzgerald explained to me that orthodontic work can often shorten the roots of your teeth and that wearing a night guard can help, which is a quick and easy fix. He saw me free of charge and joked with me that I just wanted to come and visit him. Actually, that's part of why I do go back to him. He makes going to the dentist not something to worry about. Oh, and the best part? Even though I'm not a kid anymore, they don't mind sending me home with some floss, a new toothbrush, and a cool sticker. read more

Simply put, Dr. Fitzgerald and his team are the best in the area. The hygienists are incredibly friendly, and knowledgable - willing to the take the time to explain something as simple as flossing to a simpleton like me. (Honestly, I have good teeth, I just didn't know that plague is an anaerobic bacterium that thrive when they aren't disrupted by flossing... Again, did I mention that the hygienists are very knowledgable?) Although I've only been here a handful of times, every experience has been a pleasure. Which is uncommon for me to say about any medical office. The front staff are so helpful and friendly, and are on TOP OF IT when it comes to communication. Whether email or phone, they'll be sure to confirm your appointment and remind you of it as well. Dr. Fitzgerald and his team are also very helpful in terms of billing. Only need winglet X-rays? No problem. Can they fix this tooth with a WaterLase laser and a composite filling? Of course they can. This office uses the best of medical technology available, and won't charge you an arm and a foot if you don't need it, (or afford it!) Although the location may seem inaccessible for most of those who don't live locally, there is a large free parking lot available and relatively close to the Cal-train station.. You might as well make a day out of your lovely visit with the doc and grab a sub next door and eat at the park across the street. I truthfully could not recommend this office enough. If you're in network and close to the area, I would definitely check this place out before the others. read more

Dr. Fitzgerald replaced a temporary crown (put on by another dentist) that had fallen off. He is not my regular dentist yet he agreed to see me within the hour. His staff was courteous and kind. Best of all, he decided NOT to charge me for the work he did - because he hopes other dentists will follow a similar code for one another. What a place! What a hero! I hated driving into downtown traffic and pay for parking just to go see the dentist, so I looked to switch fast. Dr Fitz's spot is minutes from home, ample free parking, and close to other things for convenience (bank, post office, etc). I love all the staff at Dr. Fitz's. My primary dentist is Dr. Chang. He was so awesome that he is now my family dentist. Everyone there is super friendly and very helpful. The appointment reminders and flyers in the mail are great.
