There isn't always someone in the booths late at night so bring tokens or exact fare! It's not super dirty. I've definitely seen worse and I do feel pretty safe using it even super late at night. It's newly named AT&T and there's a big, bright lit up sign with this newer name on it making it very hard to miss. I would absolutely recommend using this station for anyone in the city who has a game or concert or whatever. Easy!

But this particular station gets five stars for being the most convenient way into the area for sporting events and other events at Lincoln Financial Field, Citizens Bank Park and the Wells Fargo Center. So I'll go with 3 stars. The location can't be beat and there are usually plenty of trains at peak (game/concert) times -- which is why I take the train to events whenever I can. But don't be surprised to see an unexplained, massive line to buy tokens, and expect the stations that you're traveling to and from to be on the dingy side (the stadium station itself isn't too bad in this regard). It would be great if Philadelphia and SEPTA could get things together enough to have the best of both worlds -- a convenient, efficient subway system AND frequent trains to AT&T Station at peak times.

We stayed with a friend in the suburb of Media (the first American fair trade town and home of a big FBI scandal in the 70s), and in order to get to downtown Philadelphia, we had to take the Regional Rail train from Media Station, a 40 minute commute. Unfortunately the train only ran once an hour, but it was quite reliable. Media Station is small, but it was comfortable, with benches and indoor seating, and most important of all, a bathroom. Ed, the ticket agent, was friendly and helpful, and very patient with my mom, who asked him a billion questions. Although the train runs seven days a week until quite late at night, the sales office is only open Monday to Friday, from 5:15am to 11:15am. However, you can purchase tickets on the train.

It also stops at other center city stations, to connect with regional rail and subway lines. This line does not go directly to the airport. You are better off getting a taxi or private car for the time it would take to make connections for the airport. * * * TIP * * * There is a GREAT convenience store up the hill and across the bridge to your left, Kovac's. These are the BEST hoagies around!!! We don't just go there when we have to catch a train; they are on my list for top hoagies in the whole Phila area. Thousands of Phish fans trying to get across the river on the ferry could have been a disaster but I do want to applaud the staff for trying their best to keep up with our crazy crowd. I think in general, they did a pretty decent job. This boat must fit at least 500 people and it simply trucks back and forth between the Philly and Camden sides of the river. It's located very close to the Penns Landing Hilton and is a quick uber from Center City. For events like concerts, you buy an $11 round trip wristband that entitles you to passage to and from. They say the round trip takes about 15-20 minutes, but it was stretching more like 25 minutes just I think because of the extra time to load and unload an extremely full boat. But our passage was smooth, the staff moved people pretty efficiently and weren't overbearing or mean to people. The vending machines were sold out, which sucked. I only wish that they'd give people a little more leniency on the return side. They basically say the last ferry is 30 minutes after the show ends. That turns out not to be true because of the fact that it takes almost 30 minutes to do a round trip with the boat and there is way more than one boat load of fans to port back across the river. If they had a second boat, that would help a lot, though I get that maybe they don't because they don't have that kind of capacity crunch most of the time. Anyway, totally fun and fine way to get across the bridge to Camden if you're going to a show at BB&T or something else! Way better than sitting in traffic. :-)

What I like about this SEPTA regional rail station and others on the Main Line is they have kept the vintage, historical feel - with huge help of course by the community organizations. Brick walk way and the historical train building and covering over the platform- definitely gives you a serene vibe than standing on a concrete platform a plastic bubble house with minimum seating. There are lots of trees in the background too that's brings color during the fall. Since land is scarce to expand in the area, parking is better than some of the small stations ( Ardmore) but not as plentiful as some of ones out in the further burbs like Paoli. I have not counted but wiki says 117 spots. With people still WFH they parking is easy to gets spot during AM commute and Free now Usually $1 day. Warning- when I commuted pre pandemic you were out of luck by 8am to find a spot. Negative is that the parking is a bit crammed and there are parallel spots to the tracks that are across the parking spaces. There is litle space between the two so when back out you have to be careful not to hit the car parked parallel to the tracks. Also it's a one way parking lot so when when everyone is coming in in the AM and coming out in the PM it's a wait. You can also get a monthly parking pass in a selected lot on the westbound side. Convenience - a Wynnewood shopping center and Whole Foods , Starbucks and First Watch is a block away. If you are in the area and plan to commute in the a regional Rail I pick this one. 15 min ride to 30th St Station - yay!-

Buy a roundtrip ticket, check the schedule and hop a 30 minute train to Philadelphia and go where you please. It drops off conveniently at the Convention Center as well as multiple other stops that make Philadelphia more accessible for those that live in the suburbs. Train schedules are quite different from morning to evening to weekends so I would make sure to research accordingly. Parking at the station is $1 and you must pay in quarters, you've been warned. It's convenient to surrounding towns and is a major train station for everyone who commutes into downtown for work. I'm a fan.

I wish the train system's maps and stations were displayed better. The sound system on the trains could be a little louder and decipherable, too. I had to watch the map on my phone to figure out where I was because a map wasn't displayed in the car and I couldn't hear the conductor when he spoke. Keep your ticket or your phone app out. And it's less than 20 minutes on the train to Center City 30th street station where you can get connections to other areas in PA and NJ and NYC Penn Station. And it only costs $8.75 one way. This train comes every 2x an hour at the 7 and 37 min after the hour like 10:07am and 10:37am. The ticket master will come around and stamp it and you have to keep it when you get off to get out at the turnstile. This is probably the easiest public transportation airport and the most economical way to get downtown from the airport w it being under $10 so you can avoid Uber and Lyft and use the money for food like hoagies and cheesesteaks.

Reservist can use Space A if they're taking leave. I was on leave and took a flight out to Germany for one week. The terminal is currently going through some upgrades and if you haven't been here in a while the customer service people have been moved to the other side of the building. There's a lounge you can hang out in as well as a USO with free food! The staff there are incredibly friendly and everyone there in general are nice. Highly recommend checking it out and seeing what kind of trips you qualify for, it'll be the trip of a lifetime and you'll make friends with the fliers as well as others taking space A

Overall the pax terminal runs a great operation but seems to lack strong leadership on the ground. When we were flying out only a few young airmen were present to check us in, screen our luggage, and drive us across the flight-line. The presence of a senior airman or junior officer might help with the organizational side. During the security checks the airmen rushed our luggage through the scanner, it seemed more of a check the box exercise than anything else. When I asked if they cared that I had a water bottle on me and a can of Monster they shrugged it off and waved us on. Overall not sure why I'm complaining, I wish the TSA was this fast. I found the young airmen to be much more helpful and well informed than their counterparts in my own branch of service. We flew both ways on a C-17 which isn't the most comfortable but not horrible. I recommend a small power strip, it might make you the most popular person on the plane. Check with the air crew first of course.

Caught that urine smell in the hall and almost threw up. It was snowy/wet out, but I swear there were greasy smears all over the floor instead of just water. Super slippery and not fun. They had salt or those calcium chloride pellets all over the aisles of the trains (even at the risk of damaging the rubber traction), so why the heck were the tile/concrete floors of the station so greasy/slick? On the plus side, I was entertained by the ad on the station sign between tracks, a nod to Will Smith.
