This is a useful Walmart which comes to you complete with all the trimmings, such as the Pharmacy and Garden Center and what not. It's located right off the freeway (North East Side) in the League City-Webster-Clear Lake area, and gets pretty busy, but not as shockingly busy as some of the Houston locations closer to town. We've used it three times now and there will definitely be more visits. There's a hair salon in here too, although it might be gone now, I'm not sure. There's also a pretty decent McDonalds and a Woodforest Bank as well.

This optical shop has been unreasonably overcharging customers for many years. They collected…read morepayments from customers for services that should have been covered by insurance; however, to avoid the hassle of filing claims, they required customers to pay the full amount out of pocket. When customers requested that they file insurance claims--and even when the insurance company proactively contacted them with the same request--they flatly refused to cooperate. Furthermore, when customers asked for copies of their receipts or copies of their eye examination results, the staff repeatedly stalled and withheld the documents. When a customer discovered that they had been charged for unjustified fees on multiple occasions--and, worse yet, that the lenses provided had been manufactured with incorrect prescriptions--the shop owner became hostile, physically expelled the customer from the premises, and threatened to call the police. The owner is arrogant, rude, and refuses to issue any refunds. This establishment is a family-run business owned by a Vietnamese couple; they are malicious, greedy, and engage in deceptive practices against their customers. I urge everyone to avoid this shop--proceed with extreme caution!

I believe Office Space: The office was very neat and tastefully decorated. I also enjoyed the nice array of machines for eye testing. It just looked really fancy. If you have a fear of the test with the eye puff, no need to worry because they don't do that here. They used a handheld device that just feels like a tickle. Frames: They had a nice variety of prescription frames from different designers across varying price points. With my taste, I went to the designer wall, but was shocked to see that some of the frames were upwards of $500. They were names like Tom Ford and Gucci, but I have seen similar frames from the same designers for only about $300 at different locations. The frames here are definitely expensive. They do have more affordable options around the $150-$250 mark, so they do have a little bit of some thing for everyone. Based on what your insurance covers, you can get an additional 20% off of the overage, which does take care of the price a little bit. Overall I had a great time at Clearlake Eye Center, and will definitely back for my next check up. I'm not sure if I will actually buy my glasses there, but I enjoyed the visit nonetheless..
