I just want to share my disappointment in the front office. I got my appointment reminder on Monday for Thursday and confirmed. Less than 48 hours before my appointment that I scheduled the previous November I was told by Connie that my insurance was no longer in network and that if I wanted to keep my appointment it would be X amount of dollars. No apology for the inconvenience or lack of time to prepare. After sharing that they apologized for the inconvenience and offered a discount and I politely passed and it was then that they told me they check to see if you're still in network 48 hours before your appointment. I'm on a fixed income and Medicare with nothing to spare. I loved Dr. Beck and felt comfortable there. Now I have to search again! I would have appreciated a longer heads up. I know I don't spend much there but I was still a patient and thought I mattered. The message from Connie felt dismissive. read more

Worst dental place. This office has completely gone downhill after Dr. Page and Karen left. If you want a simple cleaning, be prepared to wait 6+ months for an appointment. At my last cleaning, I told the hygienist I had a tooth that was bothering me. She said Dr. Beck would take a look. I waited and waited, and eventually was told he was "busy," so I left without being seen. A few weeks ago, I ordered retainers and was told they would be ready in two weeks and that I'd receive a call. Two weeks passed--no call. When I reached out for an update, no one knew where the retainers even were and said they'd get back to me on Monday... which would push it past three weeks. Instead, I got a text saying they had processed a refund. When I asked why, I was told there was a "technical error." Right. This place is a joke. They don't care about patients--just numbers. Dr. Page actually cared about his patients. Since he left, the quality and professionalism have disappeared. Avoid this place. Pure trash read more

I cannot say enough about the staff at Dr. Beck. The front of house staff are so helpful, accommodating and do their best to work around your schedule and answer questions. All the hygienists I've had are nothing but friendly and have an amazing bed side manner. Dr. Beck himself is the best dentist I've ever had. I'm not a fan of going to the dentist and they make the entire process so calming and painless. read more

Dr. Beck replaced Dr. Page after he retired. I've seen Dr. Beck several times since then and find him friendly and reassuring. He doesn't promote add-on services as some dentists do - he just fixes what needs to be fixed. Great COVID-19 precautions too. read more

I enjoyed my first visit to Dr Beck's dental office. Pros: + Lots of free and easy parking in the vicinity of Verdugo Hills Hospital. + I like the office's open plan which feels unrestricted and non-claustrophobic as some dental offices are, and has a calming effect. + Dr Beck is kind and has a great empathetic bedside manner, taking some time to get to know you and understand your feelings about your dental situation. I echo other reviewers that he absolutely doesn't push services you don't need. + The hygienist I worked with had 18 years experience and was diligent and a good communicator, telling me what she was seeing, what areas of my teeth needed more attention based on my brushing technique, etc. + The new digital X-ray machines they have are fast and use low radiation; the full lead vest of most dental offices is no longer needed, only a small collar around the thyroid. + They gave me a free extra-soft brush to try. Cons: - The open office plan means you will hear a lot of what else is going on around you - if someone is getting something drilled, you're going to hear it all. Overall I'm happy to have Dr Beck as my new dentist and recommend the experience here. read more

I tried to make an appointment with Dr Beck as a new patient with a chipped tooth. I was very surprised that the receptionist, Connie, booked me more than a month out for a problem which most offices would consider something that requires a more immediate handling. I don't know the situation in the office or why there was so little consideration for a new patient with a condition which could worsen. COVID 19 aside, I found it very odd. I and did my research with other offices and found others who were willing to schedule me this week. So I don't recommend this office simply because of the lack care by Connie and the front office. I never saw Dr Beck so I can't speak to his care, but the lack of consideration by his front office was odd. Also, he has a wacky phone system which cut me off several times before I could get through to the receptionist. read more

My mom had to make an appointment with Dr. Beck, because my current dentist didn't have time to make a tooth extraction. Dr. Beck was able to make the appointment for the extraction within a few days. He got me in on a Saturday. I was a bit nervous but it quickly went away because he was kind, cool, and he really cared for me. He made sure the tooth extraction was painless and his assistant also helped a lot making sure that my mind was off the tooth extraction. I was kinda nervous from having a tooth extraction as I never had one before, but they made sure that my nerves were calm and it one of the best experiences I have had at a dentist. Dr. Beck has the best bedside manner of any dentist I've had. He is very patient and answers whatever questions I have. He told me I have a cavity, but I don't have to rush to fill it because it's small. First time I've had a dentist under-sell something. I'll get it filled at my next appointment. His Glendale practice is pretty new, but he has years of experience elsewhere, so it's not like he's new. The office is very cool--a recently updated mid-century modern building. It's a stand-alone building with its own parking, which is nice. I drive out from Pasadena, so I appreciate good parking. I had a great experience and I'm going to go back. I've been wanting to settle one dentist where I go regularly. Dr. Beck seems pretty great, so I'm going stick with him. read more

I've tried more dentist than I should admit. I just couldn't find one that met all my requirements. Then I was referred to Dr. Beck and he was a GAME CHANGER. I've never had such a pleasant dental visit. He was calm and caring and really walked me through every step of the process. He made sure I was comfortable both physically and mentally. He paused when I felt like I needed a breather. He really went above and beyond to make sure my dental anxiety was at bay. Added bonus that he has the worlds cutest office and staff. Dr. Beck is hands down the best dentist in the business. I took my entire family to see him (myself, husband and three small children) and they all were so happy with the experience. My five year old even asked when she could come back. He loves kids as he said he has four of his own, and my children loved him. So approachable, gentle and made them laugh. He is honest, and was very thorough with all of us. He is extremely knowledgeable (graduate of USC dental program) and it reflects in his work. I could not recommend him more! read more

Dr. Beck is an amazing dentist. He is the best I have ever worked with, and I have seen a lot of dentists in my day. He is very skilled, patient, sincere and always makes it a great experience. My teeth were in pretty bad shape in general for a long time. He has done top notch work in restoring them from several crowns, a veneer, and a bridge. This place is amazing. Searched for a dentist that could get my family of six in for their teeth cleaning before the end of the year. Found Dr. Beck probably on the 5th or 6th page of Yelp. This practice should be on the first page. I called and they immediately booked the whole family for today. We arrived and they were so welcoming and warm. Beautiful office. Unfortunately, Dr. Beck does not feel it necessary to keep scheduled appointments with patients. I was seeing Dr. Beck as my regular dentist was on vacation. I was coming in to address acute pain with a tooth and I rescheduled my entire calendar to be there at that time. His office called to change/cancel the appointment with short notice after booking the appointment just the prior day. They then tried to send me to a specialist to address the issue, but at a different time. Looks like I will need to just suffer with the pain until my regular dentist returns. After Dr Page retired, I had my teeth cleaned by Dr Beck and they sparkled. A month later, Dr Beck installed a crown on one of my teeth and did a fantastic job. He's nice, personable, professional and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a talented dentist. read more
