I haven't gone to see him in close to 4 years so I have no idea. In the search for a new eye doctor that was near me Downtown Vision came up and with really good reviews. Being the holiday season they were busy so it took a month to be able to get an appointment on my day off but it was well worth the wait. Dr. Chun and his wife Mia are terrific! They're both extremely personable and I felt welcomed from the moment I stepped into their office. I ended up getting a pair of progressive bifocal glasses that I can use for work and close reading. I also had my regular distance lenses replaced on my older set and I couldn't be happier with both of them. I have no hesitation recommending them if you're in need of eye care.

Dr. Iida is professional and does an amazing job tending to your appointment in a timely manner while still being personable and interactive. She's knowledgable, thorough and experienced at what she does, making you feel you're in good hands. Parking available under the office building. I always feel sorry for whoever has to help me. It usually takes me 45-60 minutes. I tend to get the same style. I know what I like. I warned Maria that I take a long time to find one, but also showed her my two glasses that I currently wear. I was pleasantly surprised that she was able to bring me 8 -10 similar styles. I was shocked that I found one that I liked within 15 minutes. Maria is very good! Dr Poon found a retinal hole/tear on my eye. I am going to Pali Momi right now to laser repair it. I will go back for contact lenses as well.

His office overlooks the beautiful city lines of Makiki and the mountains. This, while you browse his wide variety of premium frames or, if you choose, conveniently watch TV in the brightly lit waiting area. It's clean. Dr. Saito is very clean. Front desk, waiting area, ALL machines are clean. Did I mention the front desk? ALL of them came from hospitality. Friendly, helpful, and kind. Have a question? They'll answer it, and if they don't have an answer, they'll help to get it. My family and I have been seeing Dr. Saito since his previous location. He's personable and makes everyone in our family feel welcomed and cared for. He has a knack for kids and treats us adults like his old friends. We all feel comfortable seeing him and enjoy visiting his office (never a drag). He always stays up to date with the latest technology to help care for our eyes. He is patient and always willing to answer any questions you may have. We definitely recommend Dr. Saito!

Dr…read more Jeff Wong has been my eye doctor/surgeon for many years he is professional, efficient, and an excellent doctor. He listens to his patients when they have questions or concerns. I have just had a follow up laser procedure, which is quite common. All went great. I would highly recommend this practice, including their optometry department for your eye care needs. This is just cruel to their patients. My husband had a detached retina and Dr. Bossert saved him. Now he could never get in to see her. Apparently they just switched in March 2026. FINALLY and thankfully I got someone on the phone and she helped me. I was VERY grateful but I really hope this text thing isn't a trend for the future for all doc offices. I still would recommend them because their doctors are top notch. But the appointment system is really impossible right now. Hope it can change.

I seriously was in and out of the office in less than 10 minutes. I've been going to him for years, and have referred several of my friends, all very happy. I recently went in for computer glasses. Basically glasses that are designed to focus at the distance of a computer screen. I picked up two and leave them at each of my desks, and only use them there. They are very different from reading glasses, as they address my specific astigmatism, and required corrections. My regular bifocal glasses work, but I needed to tilt my head all the way back to use the reading area...it was driving me nuts. Ronald gave me the suggestion/solution, and my only regret was not talking to him about years ago. Once I submitted their online form, I got a call back and Robert left me a detail message including pricing. He said to go in for Aiea location for the consultation. The day I went in, the office looked really cluttered and unorganized. I saw muliple personal items of the staffs just left around in the office... When I was doing the eye exam, I could not see well on one eye, was wondering why....then after a while I figured their machine lense was dirty, and I had to tell the Dr. it was the lense. I have never had that happen to me at an eye doctor before. The price I got over the phone was 4100 dollars for military dependent. My friend who was also a military dependent at the time paid 3800 for both eyes. I negotiated with the Dr. and he said he could do it for 3900. A month later, I got a bill for thier FREE consultation priced over $240. I was stunned because on the website it said free and even the day of the consultation, I made sure with the receptionist as well. (Matter fact I have never seen any eye doctor who does not do free consultation for lasik). I called the office to have the matter corrected numerous times and the lady who is in charge of billing never picks up her phone so I left voice messages every time, yet NEVER calls me back. I went on their website again and they clearly say free consultation. On top of that, now I found the price list for lasik and they quoated me higher price than what it is listed on their websited even after the negotiation. This business is a scam. I would never ever get anything done here if I were you. I totally believe the one star review someone else left about this Dr. office.

When i was referred to Dr. Schmidt I was in dire straights. My right eye had gone blind due to…read morecomplications from my chemotherapy, and my left eye was loosing sight rapidly as well. Things were bad. I am so, so lucky that Dr. Schmidt was able to see me fast and within two weeks i had my first cataract surgery on my right eye. He was very honest during my consultation and pre-op appointments. He told me all the possible complications and hazards due to the severeness of how bad my cataract(s) were. But he was also very positive and very energetic. Although i was kinda scared and worried, he and his staff were all very positive and supportive during the whole process. To make a long story short--i went from barely being able to see a waving hand in front of me--to pretty much having my full vision back within a few days after surgeries on both eyes. I highly recommend Dr. Schmidt and his staff--they are the best and i truly appreciate their expertise in taking care of me.
