Clean park. Clean bathroom. Lots of grass to run around. Cute picnic tables. There is a couple of gravesites at the trees with the cement stone. A loose walking peacock

Simple but beautiful western themed park. Equestrian friendly zone where you can spot horses and peacocks. We took our dogs to stroll around and the playground was well covered and good area for kids. Definitely a hidden gem!

Western trails neighborhood park is a western themed park. that's always clean & quiet with a walking trail for joggers. plenty of places to sit & eat with friends and family. Barbecue pits as well as a large fire pit area. They have fairly clean bathrooms for a park. There's also drinking fountains located directly in front of said bathrooms. The residential area that surrounds it is a pretty quiet area. And don't be surprised if you see a free peacock (bird) or two walking in & around the park.

This park is different than others. You can have a picnic in the covered wagon picnic area and watch the ground squirrels. You see people walking their dogs, bringing their kids to the playground area. If your there early enough you might see people bring their horses in to ride them. You can see peacocks and the odd coyote that will run by but they don't bother anyone. It's so quiet there too.

Our grandson enjoys bringing us to this well maintained park to play. We're happy to tag along, since he's only three, and his feet can't reach the car pedals yet. lol We have walked to the park a couple time's, yet as grandparent's, we prefer to save our energy to adventure through the park! The park has some nice updates to the playground equipment, plus the restrooms were recently cleaned. We deeply appreciate that! Kudos for making this park a favorite for; swings, slides, picnics, dog walking, hiking, event activities to relaxing and making new friends. We also enjoy the peacocks that often stroll through the park!

This is a neighborhood park, of decent size. Very clean and western themed. Also has a riding arena (outdoor). Each of the picnic tables has its own grill. Has a good sized play area for the kiddos. Which has concrete park benches in the corners of the play area. Has a decent sized grass area for playing or just relaxing. It doesn't have and tennis, basketball courts etc.... The bathroom are very clean for a park. Overall this is a very nice park not overly crowded and you can definitely find a spot to enjoy a evening. Also a big point is I did not see any homeless at this park unlike a lot of other parks so I am sure it is a safe park. I enjoyed my time here, will definitely be back. PS you might even see a few peacocks wondering thru the park and yes they are friendly from what I could gather

Nice park to watch people throw a frisbee with their dog, to observe a horseback instructor leisurely training young children, or to see a few wildlife roaming freely.

    More like peacock trails!

Love love love this more smaller Western themed park. Cute wagon covered tables, the restrooms look like a little town, short cemented walkways and a children's play ground. Noticing the resident peacocks and pea hens sauntering around in the roadways. Such a treat to see!

Careful of these on the road

Easy park to stop by to stretch the legs before or after a flight. It's near the airport. Cemented pathways that meander around this medium sized park. There is a children's playground and restroom facilities. Lots of tables to enjoy a meal. Noticing more and more peacocks in the roadway looking for snacks. They kind of don't get out of the way, so caution with the speed near this park.

Cute little park that has a great walking trail around it. Playground and grass. Several single standing picnic tables. Parking lot. Bathrooms. And that's it nothing else. But love the team and how it plays out in every aspect.

06/13/2021: discovered this park on Yelp. After buying food and restaurant was packed we decided to search for a nearby park to sit and eat. Very cute western like park. Canopy shades over picnic table but of course not as clean due to bird droppings and so on. We witnessed a lot of mini squirrel or maybe it's a dessert rat but it definitely looks like squirrel. They are cute. They don't bother. Playground area for kids under a shade which is awesome due to this summer weather. Small public park and bathroom is open.

Picnic area - often in use until late at night

Do we have to reserve for the fire pit or is it first come first serve basis?

I believe it is first come basis but not 100% on it

    Are there BBQ grills?

Yes, each wagon has its own bbq grill.

    Is there a basketball court?

    Not that I've ever seen.

While we were helping him get set up, he touched one of the laser tag guns and an employee immediately got irritated and told him in a very rude tone that he "doesn't understand" and couldn't play anymore. He's a young child -- kids that age are still learning and developing at different paces. There was no need to speak to him that way, especially in front of everyone. He ended up in tears. When I calmly approached to understand what happened, the employee continued with the same attitude and dismissive behavior. Instead of de-escalating, she became confrontational, which eventually led to security being called and us being asked to leave. The situation was completely blown out of proportion and handled in a very unprofessional way. This is a children's venue. Staff should be patient, understanding, and trained to communicate appropriately with young kids and their parents. If someone doesn't have the temperament to work around children, this may not be the right environment for them. On top of that, the playground area itself raises safety concerns. There are kids of all ages running full speed through a treehouse-style structure with steep stairs and heavy traffic, which feels like an accident waiting to happen without proper supervision or flow control. Very disappointing experience overall. Parents should be aware of how interactions are handled here.

The former park had a sizeable hedge maze, a jungle gym of sorts (a pole to slide down) with lots of tall slides one one side and short slides for the wee ones too on the opposite end (some parents were putting their too-young children in the tall slides, but you can't do that with babies who can't really lift their heads up). There also was a water feature/splash pad (great for Summer) and hop-along "rides" for the smaller kids. There was a little house to climb up, which was situated in the middle, next to the bathrooms. The new one has wide open spaces, fewer adventures for the kids (like I said, it is small), short slides, and fewer seats for the parents. There is a little jumping feature in the corner- great for children with coordination (our son likes this area), which is popular for kids of all ages. (The sign has an age recommendation.) There was a clerk kind of managing the park who mentioned that the redesign was for distancing (but this was before the virus hit the world as we know it). Here are the nice points. It is clean. There are bathrooms in the immediate area. It is probably better for smaller kids to enjoy.

This place is huge, beautiful, and surprisingly impressive. It has that rare park energy where you can wander around and still feel like you have only discovered about 12 percent of it. The grounds are spacious, clean, and well kept, with plenty of room for events, families, kids, dogs, festival chaos, and people like me pretending I am "just going for a stroll" when really I am hunting for snacks. For a big event, it worked really well. There was enough open space that it did not feel like everyone was crammed together in one sweaty little patch of grass questioning their life choices. The park gives you room to breathe, walk, sit, explore, and fully commit to whatever themed event you accidentally became emotionally invested in. There's plenty of it, and it's super close to the dog park, which is always a plus when you've got excited pups ready to go. The park itself is split into a small dog area and a large dog area, and both sides were well maintained. The grass was green and mostly clean, and there were multiple shaded seating areas to relax while keeping an eye on your dog. I really appreciated the water fountains placed around specifically for the dogs, they looked clean and well kept, which isn't always the case at dog parks. There are also lots of trees, so even on warmer days, you can find shade easily. There were easily 15+ dogs there during our visit, and the overall vibe was great. Most of the dogs came over to say hello, and they all appeared healthy, well groomed, and social. No aggressive behavior at all... just the occasional male dog trying to assert dominance, but nothing escalated and owners stayed attentive and in control. That alone says a lot about the type of crowd this park attracts. Speaking of people...everyone we encountered was friendly, respectful, and responsible. It was really nice to see that every dog owner we noticed picked up after their pets. That level of consideration makes a huge difference. Beyond the dog park, the rest of the park was just as lively. The volleyball courts were packed with groups having a good time, and the fields were full of soccer teams ranging from little kids to teens. Even the restroom was well maintained, soap to wash your hands, full rolls of toilet paper, no trash or debris on the floor no floaters in the toilets. The playground was surprisingly not crowded, and it looks like it's been updated....there were no traditional slides, but instead more interactive and physical play structures like climbing ropes, stairs, and obstacle style features that make it fun in a different way. Even the parking lot experience stood out... people were patient, respectful, and courteous. One driver even pulled back into their spot after starting to back out just to let me pass, even though I had paused for them. It's little things like that that really add to the overall experience. All in all, it was an amazing day at the park. The weather was perfect, which definitely helped set the tone, but the cleanliness, friendly atmosphere, and thoughtful layout of the park really made it stand out. This is one of those places you'll want to keep coming back to.
