Use to be a good park. I live near the park and usually walk my dog there. But lately, I notice these two couples came practice their golf swing at the park!? It was a full swing across the field! This is crazy! So dangerous! I went to the park three times, and saw them three time!! Sure! Its a public park! But, come on! This is not a golf course! What if I or someone got hit by the ball?! Its a real golf ball! Not even a practice ball.

Took the pup for a walk this a.m. as it was the closest one to my spot. Lots of parking and not too crowded which was great as he tends to get easily distracted if there's too much going on. I think he picked up my ADHD :-p Good area to walk and would definitely be back. A word of warning - just watch out for low flying discs :-

Enormous grass field for all kinds of sports. It goes downhill so it might be a workout. Also other fenced sports fields. Everything nicely kept clean. The picnic area was messy with lots of trash, looks like homeless left it there. The playgrounds for different ages and water playground are fun. Hardly any shade around. Large parking lot.

Great neighborhood park to spend a beautiful day! It's fairly big. One loop of walking around equals to one mile. There are plenty of activities you can do here. There is a baseball field, a small basketball playing area, a disc golf course (watch for low flying discs), a separate, gated playground for children, a fun water feature especially for summer ( splash ground) and also have restrooms. You can bring pets to this park. BUT dogs must have on leash! Lot of times I have seen dogs running around free. It never bothered me, but I can see the potential danger of it! Just beware of this if you bring your dog here. Litter bags are provided for your curtesy in case you don't have any! The park have plenty of garbage cans. Thankfully most people use them, nobody seems to litter. There are some covered seating areas. They can be used for birthday parties or other activities. There is no drinking water here! It's recycled water, DO NOT DRINK WATER! Bring your own drinking water!

I would only give this playground at this park 2.5-3 stars. The reason why is because there is a lot of graffiti. It also doesn't seem as kept up on maintenance like other parks and playgrounds. Some things it does have going for it is that it is a huge park! Lots of space to walk around. It mostly seems like a dog park though. There are lots of birds that hang around the playground area like others have mentioned! Not necessarily a bad thing but just a fact.

It's a smaller park. Mostly a disc golf park but they do have a pretty big open field behind the playgrounds. It's a bit run down looking. The grills are not well kept and from what I saw there are only a couple of places/pavilions to grill at. It also looks like people haven't been picking up after their pets at this park even with the convenient poop stations scattered around the park. Nobody is really to blame for that but bad pet owners. Overall a convenient park and a pretty good place to bring your dog for a walk just watch out for the poopy land mines.

Only rating the splash pad. This splash pad is the dirtiest and most unkept I've seen in town. It needs maintenance, drains are clogged, pads are dirty, cement area dirty, needs painted, some of the water pop-ups not popping up, very unkept. It could be very nice if it had some care as the grass park surrounding it looks very pretty. I won't be back. The birds love the clogged drains as they were taking a bath in the water. Nasty for children!

Yelp 100 Challenge 2013- 13/100 Red Ridge Park is literally a 10 min stroll from my condo. I will be moving soon and I will miss my frequent visits to this park. When in my hardcore fitness kick, I would run around the park and gauge my distance since 1 lap around the exterior of the park is close to a mile. As other mentioned, two sides are slightly up hill and the other two sides are flat= nice easy run. I also enjoy that it is well lit at night and I always felt safe running by myself. The park features a small water park for kids, large play area for older kids, smaller play area for younger kids (see pics), basketball courts, and a baseball diamond (see pic). The park is always busy, but I never really felt crowded. You will always see people walking, playing with their dogs,or enjoying a sunny day with a picnic. They just started to build houses directly across from this park. The Dunhill homes start at around 200K for the base price and the neighborhood is growing. They're worth taking a look at if you like the Southwest area. Views of the park would be nice compared to views of other homes. The new Wet n Wild Water Park is close by, too. The one thing I wish they had..... an enclosed dog park like some other parks I travel to visit.

While we were helping him get set up, he touched one of the laser tag guns and an employee immediately got irritated and told him in a very rude tone that he "doesn't understand" and couldn't play anymore. He's a young child -- kids that age are still learning and developing at different paces. There was no need to speak to him that way, especially in front of everyone. He ended up in tears. When I calmly approached to understand what happened, the employee continued with the same attitude and dismissive behavior. Instead of de-escalating, she became confrontational, which eventually led to security being called and us being asked to leave. The situation was completely blown out of proportion and handled in a very unprofessional way. This is a children's venue. Staff should be patient, understanding, and trained to communicate appropriately with young kids and their parents. If someone doesn't have the temperament to work around children, this may not be the right environment for them. On top of that, the playground area itself raises safety concerns. There are kids of all ages running full speed through a treehouse-style structure with steep stairs and heavy traffic, which feels like an accident waiting to happen without proper supervision or flow control. Very disappointing experience overall. Parents should be aware of how interactions are handled here.

The former park had a sizeable hedge maze, a jungle gym of sorts (a pole to slide down) with lots of tall slides one one side and short slides for the wee ones too on the opposite end (some parents were putting their too-young children in the tall slides, but you can't do that with babies who can't really lift their heads up). There also was a water feature/splash pad (great for Summer) and hop-along "rides" for the smaller kids. There was a little house to climb up, which was situated in the middle, next to the bathrooms. The new one has wide open spaces, fewer adventures for the kids (like I said, it is small), short slides, and fewer seats for the parents. There is a little jumping feature in the corner- great for children with coordination (our son likes this area), which is popular for kids of all ages. (The sign has an age recommendation.) There was a clerk kind of managing the park who mentioned that the redesign was for distancing (but this was before the virus hit the world as we know it). Here are the nice points. It is clean. There are bathrooms in the immediate area. It is probably better for smaller kids to enjoy.

This place is huge, beautiful, and surprisingly impressive. It has that rare park energy where you can wander around and still feel like you have only discovered about 12 percent of it. The grounds are spacious, clean, and well kept, with plenty of room for events, families, kids, dogs, festival chaos, and people like me pretending I am "just going for a stroll" when really I am hunting for snacks. There's plenty of it, and it's super close to the dog park, which is always a plus when you've got excited pups ready to go. The park itself is split into a small dog area and a large dog area, and both sides were well maintained. The grass was green and mostly clean, and there were multiple shaded seating areas to relax while keeping an eye on your dog. I really appreciated the water fountains placed around specifically for the dogs, they looked clean and well kept, which isn't always the case at dog parks. There are also lots of trees, so even on warmer days, you can find shade easily. There were easily 15+ dogs there during our visit, and the overall vibe was great. Most of the dogs came over to say hello, and they all appeared healthy, well groomed, and social. No aggressive behavior at all... just the occasional male dog trying to assert dominance, but nothing escalated and owners stayed attentive and in control. That alone says a lot about the type of crowd this park attracts. Speaking of people...everyone we encountered was friendly, respectful, and responsible. It was really nice to see that every dog owner we noticed picked up after their pets. That level of consideration makes a huge difference. Beyond the dog park, the rest of the park was just as lively. The volleyball courts were packed with groups having a good time, and the fields were full of soccer teams ranging from little kids to teens. Even the restroom was well maintained, soap to wash your hands, full rolls of toilet paper, no trash or debris on the floor no floaters in the toilets. The playground was surprisingly not crowded, and it looks like it's been updated....there were no traditional slides, but instead more interactive and physical play structures like climbing ropes, stairs, and obstacle style features that make it fun in a different way. Even the parking lot experience stood out... people were patient, respectful, and courteous. One driver even pulled back into their spot after starting to back out just to let me pass, even though I had paused for them. It's little things like that that really add to the overall experience. All in all, it was an amazing day at the park. The weather was perfect, which definitely helped set the tone, but the cleanliness, friendly atmosphere, and thoughtful layout of the park really made it stand out. This is one of those places you'll want to keep coming back to.
