Tucked in a corner of the Miracle Mile shopping center, is a restaurant that is not a chain. Anyone who has been to Monroeville knows while they are there you have to look for them. This is a pizza place, but I was doing some Christmas shopping by my self so I just wanted something to go, and a sandwich was a better choice than pizza. This sub was just alright, mostly ham, the red onion was way too thick, the pepperoncini I had added and their Italian dressing made it somewhat better. Would I go out of my way to eat here? no. But if I am stuck in Monroeville it is a choice that isn't a national chain, and is a local business. Next time I would probably try their pizza, their vegetables on the sandwich were cut for that, not a sub. It was not a bad sub, I finished it, but there was not anything remarkable about it. read more

I have always wanted to try Napoli as there generally seems to be a fair amount of people there. I decided to grab a pizza to take home one Saturday when I was running around doing Holiday errands. Most of the tables were full of customers dining in. The place is large enough and was decorated nicely for the Holiday season. I ordered a medium pizza half cheese, half bacon. It was fine. This place is in a strip mall, and is small inside. The food is delicious - we got salad, breaded mushrooms, and thin crust pizza. Disappointments included: dressings/sauces in packets, only iceberg lettuce on the salads... but everything else was positive - cooked fresh, served hot, some of the best pizza crust I've ever eaten. The food is 5/5. The only reason we gave 4 stars is because we visited during a heatwave when it was 95 degrees and the AC was out, it was 85 inside. Not their fault, and also obviously a fluke problem! The service was good and the workers friendly. There were a lot of take out orders being made while we were there. Don't let the strip mall location, dated fixtures, and plasticware deter you from visiting - the pizza is delicious! read more

Walked in the door, said hello to the girl who turned her back, walked to the register, didn't utter a word, never smiled, and waited for my order. Ordered my plain pizza. Half hour later, I came back to pick up, and the pizza was just not good. I got the thin crust, and man was it chewy, and chewy, and CHEWY. Not enough of anything on top. Very bland. A local, small pizzeria that sells pretty decent pies. Prices are alright and they have more than just pizza: they also got pasta, calzone, Stromboli, and so on. I got to try the white pizza (Bianca) and the regular, plain cheese pizza. The cheese pie was a pretty good deal in my opinion, but not great. Large is around 16". For the Bianca, I thought it was on the oily side. Had lots of garlic, small chunks sprinkled around. It was still quite good. The tomatoes are quite sparse on this pie. And when you do taste them, they taste slightly off. They lack both color and flavor. The price was also not the greatest in my opinion. The cheese pizza is is NY style, with a moderately thin crust. Sauce is not distinct but not bad either. I enjoyed the pie, especially for the price. Now, the real 'issue' with the pie is the crust. It's got an odd sour taste to it in my opinion, so I did not enjoy it. Customer service is only okay. Not the best, but I did feel a bit rushed when ordering. It's a good spot to get pizza if you are shopping at Miracle Mile but don't expect much. read more

Authentic pizzeria! This place has been around practically FOREVER!! Always a treat to stop in, and grab a slice of their New York style pizza. The interior hasn't changed much over the years, but I give them a lot of credit. They are outnumbered by plenty of chain store pizza shops and other newly added trendy restaurants, but have managed to hold their own. Sometimes, it simply comes down to the product you serve and not always how new and pretty the furnishings around you look. Napoli has always been my choice for pizza when I am in the area. The food was horrible. I ordered a regular and a Sicilian with a side of wings. The regular crust was chewy and hard. The Sicilian was a high-school style sheet tray that they gave us 8 pieces of. The sauce was bland and the cheese was rubbery. The most disgusting were the wings. I have been an executive chef for 30 years and this is one of the grossest things I have ever eaten. The wings were breaded and so soggy with hot sauce they had puffed up and the breading and meat were dissolving as you bit it. I spit it out. No one here could eat one. I've been in this business for 40 years and I didn't even know chicken could dissolve like that from a bone in piece. This place is the second worst food I've had in Pittsburgh. read more

Went here tonight on a whim...I ordered a XL half cheese half pepperoni pizza. Overall all the pizza had a good taste and it's nice and thin but sadly I was completely turned off when one of my guests ate a plain piece to get what appeared to be the consistency of a hard stretchy rubber band in the cheese. When I contacted Napoli about the substance they informed me that it's the casing on the pepperoni...being an Italian girl, I've eaten some serious amounts of pepperoni and never had a casing quite like this but regardless is a disgusting addition to the otherwise great pizza. Not sure how they think that's a great brand of pepperoni to continue with because whomever I spoke with seemed like this was a usual complaint and that it was completely acceptable and normal to want to gnaw on an inedible casing throughout the whole pizza. Way too many options in Monroeville to spend money on the chance they I may get another cellulose clump. Hard pass. read more

Came in at 1:30 on a weekday and was told the lunch special for slices was over at 12! I could only order Sicilian slices, which were pretty small in comparison to other places, dried out, with very little sauce. When I asked for sauce on the side, there was an upcharge, and I was told that if you ask for extra sauce on the pizza when ordering there's no charge, but afterwards there is. I want so badly to give this place 5 stars, but to be honest, it was more like a 3.5 for me than a 4 star. I bumped it up because the pizza is just so dang good. I stopped here during my hour lunch break. I ordered a white pizza with tomatoes and garlic and breaded cauliflower. The pizza took a little while longer to come out than I expected and I was worried I would have to scarf it down. When it finally did arrive, I was not disappointed! The crust was on the thinner side with a slight crunch to the bottom. The top crust was softer and flavorful. They did not skimp on the toppings and the pizza was nice and hot to taste. The breaded cauliflower was some of the best I've ever tasted. Call me dramatic (how good can a breaded cali be?!), but it tasted so good to me- crispy on the outside and the cauli was not soggy inside. The breading itself was the perfect thickness and kind of textured like a crispier hushpuppy on the outside--not greasy at all. I received such a generous portion size, that I was almost full from those before the pizza came out. I do wish that their online menu was updated. I called the restaurant the other day to inquire about an online menu and the girl told me they have a website, "but it hasn't been updated in a really long time". She told me they have menus in the store, if needed. If I were them, living in 2016 I think it would just be more convenient to just update the online one. The inside of the restaurant is pretty clean. Although, I find the posted menu difficult hard to read. It's on a chalkboard and on several different walls. The place could definitely use some updating, but trust me when I say this is the best pizza Monroeville has to offer. Prices are decent for the amount that you receive. Really good pizza! Not sure if they are related to the Napoli Pizza in Squirrel Hill or not but they have damn good pizza. They are located in the Miracle Mile shopping center in Monroeville near DSW. We got pepperoni, mushroom and extra cheese and it was freakin' outstanding! It's best to eat the pizza in house or at least wait 10 to 15 minutes for it to cool down and set because the cheese will slide right off of the pizza. read more

A word in advance, this is based entirely on the delivery, I have never been in the store: I just moved to the area and I will probably not order from here again. My first time ordering the pizza was AWESOME. Not overly cooked, and just great. So ordered from there the same thing a second time and the pizza was really bad. It was cold, and very hard (almost like biting into cardboard). So I figured everybody has a bad day and ordered from there for a third time. This time I got the breadsticks, the fried mushrooms, the jalapeno poppers, and a medium cheese pizza. The pizza was cold and tough again, the mushrooms were cold as well, and the breadsticks were greasy and terrible. The poppers were pretty good though, but I imagine it was cold because it took over an hour and a half to arrive. So I think my first time was the rare occurrence, but if you do get one of the days where they are "on" the pizza was great. read more

The advertisement of homemade wedding soup drew us in we got 2 wedding soups a small tossed salad and a medium cheese to share between the 3 of us. Everything was delicious! It was delivered within the time frame they gave us, so that was great. The delivery guy was nice. However, the pizza I ordered was supposed to be 1/2 meatball and feta. I got 1/2 shaved meat and ricotta mess. If you look at the photo, it really looks awful. It was watery and just honestly turned my stomach to look at. The other half, made correctly was better. The crust however is dry, some people like that, we don't. The sauce was alright. It was better than the sweet stuff some shops have on their pizzas but very stingy on the cheese.
