The quoted price was very affordable, for the job he did he should have charged more! When he showed up to the house we needed the entire second floor, stairs and a single room on the ground floor that we were planning to replace the carpeting due to the number of stains. We have cream colored carpeting so the stairs showed a noticeable track in the middle that was darker than the rest of the stair. He worked non-stop and when he was finished the stairs were all the same color, the rest of the second floor looked spectacular and most importantly and a completely surprising the ground floor room carpeting looked great - WOW, I am not sure how he did it but we are completely satisfied. Most of the cleanings had to be rescheduled last minute due to an undisclosed emergency. As long as there was communication, this is something I could live with. My final straw was a couple weeks ago - I had a cleaning scheduled which I confirmed less than 24 hours before. Around the scheduled time, I texted Elmer that our callbox was broken and asked him to text me when he arrived. After an erroneous text back stating confusion and that he was "far away", there was indefininite ghosting with no explanation. He never arrived and I didn't have time confirm an alternative option before the weekend (this was a Friday afternoon before family arrived in town for a milestone event). Stayed up half the night doing the cleaning myself. A few days later, I texted Elmer to see if he was okay and no response. Then I used my wife's phone to send a text and got an immediate response. We have a two-story house and the first quote we received was 2-4 hours plus a flat rate for carpets. After the President of the company, according to his card, who was onsite for cleaning, saw the house at 9am, he quoted 5 hours to finish everything (2pm). At 2pm then, he said, 1 more hour. They "finished" at 5pm. We didn't move in until two days later, when we had a chance to do an in depth look and see the job they did. We paid for the full top-to-bottom move-in service which included deep cleaning and kitchen appliances, but saw the following problems before anyone else even set foot into the house: -Dirt marks on the walls -Balls of dirt and crud on 'cleaned' carpets -Hairs in the shower and sinks -Dog toenails in front of the fireplace -Dust on most doorframes, window blinds, and air vents -Hair in drawers and on floors -Airfryer untouched/not cleaned -The carpets smelled like dogs -Most of the window sills were absolutely filthy, covered in dirt, dust and grime. (We paid extra for windows as well) -The carpets may have been washed, but there's no way they were vacuumed, as after walking around barefoot, the bottoms of our feet were filthy. It was after 5pm, (when the business closed), so we called him back the next morning. We explained everything we saw and even informed him that we even took pictures for him. He was rude, very defensive and refused to believe or take accountability for any of the problems. There was no apology, no offer for correcting any issues, or any reasoning with him to come to any type of solution. He then told us he wasn't going to do anything about it, because it was after 48 hours since it the "cleaning", and since we locked the house after they finished, it was our fault for not noticing the issues then.

I dont know if it was just a rush job or they just dont want to do the extra step, but they need to learn what the machines do. After cleaned, there were little balls of wet dirt and hair around the room, which they just left there. This happens if you dont vacuum carpet before washing it. They need to learn that machine vacuum is supposed to vacuum dirty water and not meant for solids.
