He quoted me a price which was more than the cost of my rug, and when I politely declined saying that didn't make sense, he got defensive about business costs and called me cheap. After I sent the room sizes, he gave me an estimate via IM also. My appointment was made for 10AM Saturday. This small business is relatively high tech, as far as communications. After I gave him my name an email address, the Square app sent me an appointment confirmation notice, very efficient. The tactic I didn't appreciate was that after I made an appointment, the fine print in the appointment acceptance confirmation via Square told us this: "We don't move furniture and will clean around furniture. The customer is responsible for moving furniture around if he or she chooses." Potential customers need to know this upfront before an appointment is made not be blindsided later. This caused me to pause and I almost cancelled the appointment since it was never mentioned. I am not deducting a point in the review for this oversight. Nevertheless, we are very happy with the final results and the price was reasonable. We vacuumed the cleaned carpet after it dried and before we moved the furniture back. Then the carpet nap returned to it's original state, improving the final appearance. It took about 2 hours to clean our 3 rooms, without rushing. I called Mr. Duriel On Friday evening. He was able to squeeze me in on Saturday. We moved into our new home and were less than excited about the carpets and floors.
