I didn't argue over price, I said my one criteria was just assure me you get a car quickly for me. No returned phone calls no follow up with me after we agreed on price/terms. Sad. Maybe everyone has hammered dealers for so long for being too aggressive, now they don't seem to really care if they follow up and get a deal done. Weird. He is detail-oriented and is unwavering from being client-centered. Bob initially called me back and told me that what I was looking for (and at the time) would be very difficult to find. I was looking for a specific pick up truck in a pre-determined configuration. After three weeks of looking, he was able to locate one that was at an out of town dealership that I could easily get to. We made arrangements to see the truck and based on site and lack of other options, I bought the truck assured that it was the last truck in California with my specs. According to the dealer it had just arrived after being delayed in shipment and that future shipments were cancelled due to the world-wide microprocessor shortage. I had Bob review the specs. Bob already had me talk to my Credit Union for a pre-approved loan. The Dealership even talked to my credit union and brought down the APR from 3.02 to 2.9. I did end up paying for nitrogen in the tires and for the "installation" of the floor mats but marginal considering my diminished options. Anyway, Bob seemed to always be on the hunt for me and was very up to date about the goings on with the shipping and other details. He was easy to talk to and precise in what he had to say. In reality the car had significant underlying issues, some of which haven't been fully diagnosed (driveshaft grinding/ transmission fluid leak) and was rendered inoperable 24 hours after I drove it off the showroom floor. The whole experience left me with a bad impression, from the high pressure sales tactics once Trevor knew I was interested, to Trevor becoming extremely animated and speaking fast in a high-pitched tone when I attempted to negotiate the price. I am not rich. I work extremely hard to be able to enjoy the benefits of these high performance vehicles, therefore, when you're dealing with a reputable establishment, you expect to get what you pay for. In my case I got screwed. Learn form my mistake and buy from a private seller. If you do choose to do business with a "high-end" dealership, budget $10K - $15K or risk having your car parked indefinitely until you can afford to get it fixed. I'm currently exploring legal/ lemon law options. High end dealerships usually exhibit first-class quality and attention to detail which is why I was surprised the gas tank was pretty much empty (really? at this price point??) and the passenger door wouldn't completely close, as I was made aware by a friendly lady at the gas station.
