I booked my appointment and showed up on time for a simple oil change in my work truck. Estimated time was about 3 hours. Yes, they offer rides but I didn't think it'd take so long anyway, so I just waited in their offering-less sitting area. Got the work done along with a number of glorified recommendations for work needed on the truck- and estimated $2,000 for simple things like break fluid, engine coolant, etc. About 6 weeks after I noticed that the truck started leaking a lot of oil, so I had to call a friend who does basic maintenance on his own cars to help me loot at what the problem was. WelI, we are not mechanics to describe with the proper terms (more than anything, I don't want to be corrected by the business owner and then use that to basically say that I have no idea of what I am talking about), but the filter was not put on right. He had to change the filter, replenish the oil, and that was the end of it. Well, besides the clean up on the floor and undercarriage that I have to still take care of courtesy of shannon's. Could I have taken it back to have it looked at? Yes. Do I have the time and patience to deal with this? No. I wanted to support local business but they are no better than the dealership, your friend mechanic, or any other large company looking at their bottom line.

Disappointing experience and unprofessional behavior during a simple price negotiation…read more I want to start by saying I am sure many people have had good experiences at AutoSense. Unfortunately, mine was not one of them. I left feeling disrespected and disappointed, and I am sharing this so others know what to expect. The y were very helpful at first, but things changed the moment we started discussing price. Before they ran my credit, I tried to negotiate the vehicle price a bit. When I made my first offer, the owner, I believe his name was Dave, immediately shut it down and asked if I was serious. He tossed the Blue Book value across the table and insisted the truck was worth the high end price. What surprised me even more is that the truck has been listed for over 250 days, which usually suggests there is room for discussion, especially for a vehicle with an accident reported on its history. When I pointed out the truck's issues, scratches, leaking struts, delayed gear shifts, and possible transmission and differential concerns, he dismissed them and said it was still reliable. He then raised his voice and told me I should have done my research before coming in. He also made several unnecessary remarks, including telling me that if I wanted to price cars however I wanted I should "go get my own million dollar license and sell cars," and asking why I did not just try buying something closer to home. At one point he suggested I should look at a cheaper Jeep "if I could afford it", and much more unnecessary things said before I walked away. I was not trying to lowball anyone. I simply did not want to spend over $10,000 on a truck with those issues and a reported accident. I was prepared to talk financing and even increase my down payment if the conversation had stayed professional. I understand people have bad days, but there is no reason to treat a customer this way. Reviews like this are meant to help other buyers understand what kind of experience they might have before making the trip. If you are planning to shop here, I sincerely hope you are treated better than I was. Be cautious if you are considering the 2013 black Nissan Frontier currently listed at AutoSense. Buyer tip: Always test drive thoroughly and consider having any used vehicle inspected by a mechanic before committing to a purchase. If AutoSense would like to respond or clarify what happened, I would welcome their explanation.

Simply asked if I needed any assistance and offered me the keys to test drive with ease. The purchase process was very simple and after making the decision to go ahead with the purchase, I was out the door within 15 minutes with the keys in hand. Within a week of purchase, I drove the vehicle 700 miles to Phoenix and while I was there, I had a BMW shop perform a full inspection on the car. It passed with no significant issues beyond normal wear and tear. The only issue that I have had in the 2 or 3 months since purchase was the check engine light came on for a pump that pressure checks the fuel tank to verify no leaks. A simple fix. With any used car lot that is not a major car company lot, you take risks with your purchase, but I was pleased with my interaction with the sales representatives and with the purchase. I believe I got a lot of value in my purchase.

But anyways I ended up coming here because it was conveniently close to us. Ended up buying an older CRV. It has been running like a champion for the last few months, and has done us really good. Only thing I can say is I found out the AC didn't work before buying it, but I only found out because I tested it. They didn't go out of their way to tell me. So just check out the car thoroughly before buying. And remember that most people are more likely to go out of their way to leave a review based on a bad experience than a good one.
