Brought 2 vehicles in for inspections. The first inspection went fine and the guys at the front desk were as nice and helpful as can be. That all went out the door when my workers brought the other vehicle in. Immediately a man came from out the back with a horrible attitude and customer service. He told me that he was not taking anymore of our vehicles because we were "trying to pile 20 cars on him to inspect" again, it was only 2 vehicles. Then he continues on a rant saying "It's not worth the $24 or my time to pull the other vehicle in just for an inspection," from there I could tell he was an asshole and chose to leave instead of giving a response. Tell me this is not how you treat 1st time customers on a regular basis man. We will not be returning for any other service so don't worry buddy. Again, horrible customer service. read more

I recently moved from Massachusetts to Missouri and kept having a problem with the check engine light and really was getting tired of it. As it was, my State Inspection failed initially because of the emissions requirements. I saw the reivews on Yelp for and the quality of service they performed for other customers and decided to give it a try. No only did they fix the problem, they provided outstanding customer service far and above from what I was used to. Fair rates, good suggestions and later a completed State Safety and Emission report made my visit to the DMV a snap. This place should be rated as a 5 star facility, among the best of the best here in Missouri. If you have any car problems, see them 1st. Had a wonderful car service experience here and fully intend to return if I run into any more car trouble! I had noticed one of my tires was going flat the other day and took it in today at the recommendation of my boyfriend and father. The owner took all my information and told me that he would patch my tire ($25) but call if it was more pressing. He also asked if there was anything else I thought they should look at which I appreciated. I hadn't called ahead so I knew I might have to wait for a bit. I dropped my car off at 11 and at 2 I got a text (so handy!) saying that my car was ready to go! In that text was also a link that gave me a whole page of inspection information on my car and what needed to be addressed outside what I brought it in for. It even had pictures! When I picked up my car, I asked about what was "in the red" on the car info. The owner explained the process and the cost but then let me know that it wasn't super pressing so I could hold off if I needed. I really appreciated his honesty! As someone who is generally mystified by car care, I really appreciated this shop treating me equally and without any pandering. To the point, affordable, and helpful. What luck I had finding this auto shop. I almost don't want to tell anyone else about it. Professional, knowledgeable, get it done attitude. They really went the extra mile and saved me a lot of money. Another shop wanted to charge me for work that didn't need to be done yet. Eventually yes, but when it's $5k you prefer to schedule it rather than fail an inspection. There was no safety issue. I had a suspension problem too and it was fixed along with an alignment. They will tell you what you have to do, or give you options like replacing certain parts in pairs when it makes sense. Too bad the other shop won't see us again. read more

Friendly as can be and fast! I came in with a flat tire I wanted to get patched, which they charge $25 for. They took my car right away, and gave it a quick on-the-spot patch and even checked out my engine for me - which is a really nice service for someone like myself, who barely looks under the hood. :) Definitely will be coming back here for my inspection/emission that are due soon! read more

When it comes to auto mechanics most of us cringe. Especially in this day and age with they way cars are. I came in for a inspection and my car needed more, it needed some computer help. Doug and the wonderful personnel at the shop went out of there way to assist me. They were not able at the time to help me fix the issue but were over the top in service with guiding me to the proper place. I had made a few trips to jamming j because of the issue and they were so helpful in educating and assisting me. I highly suggest them they are professional with kindness. If you are looking for an honest and trustworthy place to take your car you've found it. The Valvoline down the street recommended Jammin Js to me after noticing some work they could not fix. Doug, the owner, was great to work with. He was honest about the work my car needed right at that moment but also about things to keep an eye on for the future. As a women visiting a car shop you never know if the folks will take advantage of you. I went in with a broken radiator and it was fixed in a timely manner at a reasonable rate. They offered to drive me to my work (and pick me up when my car was done) about two miles down the road. Plus, a couple weeks after the work was completed, Doug called me to see how my car was doing. I've never had such great service and follow up from a car shop. Highly recommend! read more

Based on reviews I gave Jammin' J Automotive a chance. From the very start Doug seemed dismissive and unconcerned with my car repair. I had a general uneasy feeling but I ignored it based on the reviews. I left my car there overnight because I didn't want to rush him. The next day he calls about my car and basically informs me of diagnostic error codes concerning the electrical system on the vehicle. He wasn't exactly sure of the issue and multiple times mentioned that it was going to be expensive. I was informed that they might spend hours on labor and still not find the issue. After all these red flags I went to his competition instead. He tried to charge me $40.00 for essentially hooking it up to a diagnostic computer. Avoid this shop. read more

I came in today to do an alignment. I called beforehand and had an appointment for 3pm. The car was taken in right away. I waited about 10-15min, then was taken in and shown what exactly is wrong and what they can do and will do. It wasnt much as my rear axle is inadjustable, but front wheels were adjusted and hopefully will help even thread wear ( I decided to do alignment because I got new tires and old front tires were worn uneven). The service was very courteous, will be back if needed something for the car. Wanted the printout of alignment, but they didnt print it, just the receipt. read more

Went there for a nail in tire. Tire was bought there with road hazard. Tire was originally 156 ( can be had easily on-line for 129 shipped / Besides the point in this situation). So my wife drops the car off at around 930am with a nail in her tire. She was told the tire was bad and needed to be replaced. Great - we have road hazard on this tire and it had around 10K miles on it. ( Replace it) Tire was pro rated 9 out of 12 meaning it had 75% of the tread still on it. Doug said it would be later in the afternoon. Before they had the tire and would call with an est of replacement cost. This call never came. Around 2:15 I called for status on the car. Doug says they get there tires around 230 - 330 still no price. 5:15 Rolls around after they had close for the night I get a call saying my car was done. He also gave me a price on the replacement at this time which was almost the cost of a new tire.. 136.00 I explained to Doug that I could get a new name brand tire from Tire-rack installed cheaper that the prorated no name tire. His answer to that was a mocking "Well is that what you want to do" The cost of the replacement tire which should have been 25% of the cost of the tire because of the 9/ out of 12 pro rate. 39 dollars plus the 20 - 30 to mount the tire. Bill should have been no more that 70 bucks. I came in the next morning to pick up the car. Doug was there and I said to him I would like to pick up my car and told him which one. I explain the price situation which Doug said " I may have pro rated your tire wrong" He came back with a price of 113 down from his original 136.00 Who knows were this price came from.. I ended up paying 113 and felt I was taken for 40 -50 bucks. read more

MAKE THIS YOUR GO TO FOR CAR MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS, YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY!! Can not say enough great things about this place! I walked in 10 minutes before closing time with concern of possibly a serious issue & was greeted by Doug who was extremely helpful & even w/ closing time minutes away took the time to explain the problem & what repair process would consist of in detail. After confirming problem, I was concerned if I could make the one way hour drive home and then back next day without putting myself or car in danger but Doug stepped up again, going above & beyond call of duty & offered me a replacement car for the evening to keep me safe & also not risk doing more damage to my car. That was HUGE!! Next day, I received text communications keeping me updated on status of repair, a link to inspection report they prepared on my car & when car was ready. So less than 24 hrs after walking in w/ no appointment & needing serious repair work I went to pick my car up. Doug and another helpful gentleman (sorry, don't remember your name) went over the inspection list of additional issues they discovered while working on my car, which I appreciated & actually anticipated so I braced myself for the sales pitch that I was sure to follow. However instead of receiving the high pressured sales pitch they went over each item in detail w/ me & told me which ones were priorities, which ones could wait, which ones to do at the same time to save on labor costs. Even had pictures to show of couple issues so I could get second opinion if wanted. WHAT!! WOW!! Have to say that was a first for me!! One item on list had to do w/ an oil leak & 2nd gentleman requested I stop by every couple weeks & just let him quickly check it out so he could monitor it & make sure it's priority level doesn't upgrade to more urgent. From very first interaction on phone with Doug giving me directions to shop thru pulling off the lot feeling safe again because car was fixed I had nothing but positive experiences/communications with this company.
