We've travelled to Loveland for years and finally stopped by, great little spot! I read from other reviews about inconsistency w being open which is unfortunate but we went late morning and were fine. The young lady making our drinks was very kind and made knowledgeable recommendations. All of our drinks were delicious and ranged anywhere from $5-7. We utilized their funky outdoor seating area and enjoyed the sunshine. A nameless husky wandered through the gates from what seemed like the house behind the establishment but was very sweet and only added to the experience. Would stop by again!

This place is absolutely amazing!!! The lady that works(maybe owns but not sure) at this place is so incredibly friendly and will go out of her way just to make your day better. We moved to Loveland in July and I immediately went to try Jamoka Joe's because I wanted to support local business. BEST COFFEE AND CAPPUCCINO EVER. I was immediately hooked! However, now when I want my cappuccino fix in the morning, I can't get it because they never seem to be open. I did stop by one afternoon and they were open, but like many other reviewers mentioned, there is no consistency to when they were open. I tried reaching out on FB to get their new schedule (and also sent an email) but got no reply. Bummer. read more

We've heard good things so we stopped by after Devil's Backbone. I got the Carmel macchiato and wifey got a smoothie. Both were excellent! As good as any place. The nice barista even offered our dog a biscuit. Will definitely go back whenever near. read more

Im visiting from another state and one of my favorite things to do is try out small coffee businesses everywhere I go. Jamoka Joe's has a great selection of flavor choices and drink choices. I have been going there every single day of my stay here in CO and I am NEVER disappointed! The owner is very sweet and friendly! They've also got a handful of milk alternatives! This drive through coffee shop is the cutest and the best! Definitely recommend visiting it!! read more

You have to try their Chai with hemp milk. It is amazing! So so good! A little sweet with just the right amount of spice, perfect for a beautiful fall day! Service is always very friendly and quick. Who remembers this place was home to the Black Cup? I love Jamoka Joe's location. Who doesn't love a locally owned drive-up coffee shop (nearly) out in the sticks? It's the last coffee stop until Estes Park so fill up while you can. The coffee's not bad. I don't think they offer organic coffee/milk or soy milk. read more

The coffee was very good quality and the service was fantastic. I love this drive-through coffee stand just west of Loveland on Highway 34 as you begin your trip to Estes. It's a purple coffee shack sitting among the trees and is the perfect place to get a cup of coffee or snack before you being your trip towards Rocky Mountain National Park. Great place! read more

There, you have to keep it simple - there's limited space for ingredients, and pretty much one cooking technique. Food carts narrow their scope to focus on one or two types of menu items and nail the execution, because it's the dish they specialize in! Tacos On The Street is the food cart on the northeast corner of College and Oak near the Aggie Theater. They've been serving some of the most simple - and yet, super tasty - street tacos in Fort Collins since the fall of 2010. They serve grilled rib-eye steak three ways - in tacos, tostadas, and quesadillas. Whatever form you choose to eat it in - it's made with homemade corn or flour tortillas, topped with onions and cilantro, and fresh homemade salsa and guacamole. That's it. Those six simple ingredients. Those three basic dishes. But, they taste great. I stopped by for lunch one sunny afternoon so I could enjoy the summer weather and people watch in Old Town. I ordered combo #1 - a taco, a quesadilla, and a toastada - all loaded with the available toppings of onion, cilantro, salsa and guacamole. The service was friendly and fun, chatting away while they grilled the steak right before my eyes. The cart was clean and organized with their operating license displayed right in front (and I later found out that they welded the cart together themselves - that's impressive). I sat on one of the park benches that line College and dug in. Since this the same dish each way - everything tasted about the same - simplistic and fresh. The grilled steak had a slight smokey flavor, and I thought it was kind of funny watching the smoke from the grill billow out onto the sidewalk, enticing more people to eat tacos. The tacos were juicy and light, the toastada crispy and a bit too dry for my liking (next time I'd ask for extra salsa and guacamole). The quesadilla was the best of them all since the cheese really added another level of flavor and texture that pulled it all together (literally). Not only was this light and simple in taste - it was the same for my pocketbook. Good food doesn't always need to be complicated. It's fantastic that we have a real Mexican street taco option, and best of all - the simplicity is perfect.

We saw horses on the opposite shore and a bunny by the big waterfall feature. Several walking paths. There was a live singer with a guitar and harmonica while we were there. Asked him to play his choice of any Tom Petty song and he nailed it with American Girl. We didn't have any food but we did buy three different bottles of wine to share within our party of 12. I enjoyed the Barbera from their Lodi, CA signature series. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

The people at the bar were pleasant. It had more of a library/living room type vibe -- hardwood, kind of dark. I personally prefer a little more lighting. I've been to Dark Heart about a half a dozen times. Their drip coffee is consistently very good…read moreand the cortados excellent. They offer sparkling water with their cortados, as some cafes do, which is a pretty cool touch. Sometimes they offer the choice of two different roasts for their espresso drinks, which I've never seen before anywhere else, ever. Stop reading here if that's all you need to know. Today. I order a Smokey Mocha (they also have a regular Mocha on the menu). Side note. It's really hard to screw up a mocha. At its most basic it's hot chocolate with shots of espresso. Even with bad or mediocre espresso shots there's usually enough milk and chocolate to cover it up. On the flipside, it's really hard to make a mocha that stands out from the crowd. (Spoiler-Dark Heart surpasses all that mocha mediocrity). Rewind. The first time I went to Dark Heart a couple years ago, a menu item caught my attention. The Smokey Mocha. My friend and I asked what it was. The barista at the register smiled and gave us her sales pitch. Something she'd obviously done many times and still didn't seem to mind doing. My friend and I were both sold as we each ordered one. After I was done with my Smokey Mocha, I wanted to order another. Unfortunately, we were coffee cafe hopping and had four more stops. When I got home, I started gushing about my Smokey Mocha to the SO and anyone else who would listen. Fast forward back to today. I order the 8-ounce Smokey Mocha for here. My drink has a nice heart design with a generous amount of black lava sea salt sprinkled on top. I smell notes of cocoa, but I can't tell if it's from the espresso (Relentless blend) or the cocoa powder. With every sip I take, I taste warm sweet (from cane sugar and maple syrup) mocha that ends with a touch of salt. The smoked paprika is an afterthought. I savor my drink, but I reach the bottom of my mug much too quickly. I swirl the mug to get the last dregs of salt and cocoa powder (single origin cocoa powder from the Philippines according to the barista). As I drive away, I can taste the salt on my llips, and I still feel the astringency of the cocoa powder in my mouth. This is no ordinary mocha drink. The Dark Heart Smokey Mocha has no equal.

We stopped here on our way to the Devil's Backbone. The lady working was very sweet and gave us helpful tips as out-of-towners. We only ordered coffee as they didn't have vegan food options (they do have vegetarian food), but she asked for my feedback and is going to ask the local company who makes the tamales and burritos at Jamoka Joe's to provide a vegan option for her local customers. Great, quick service, tasty coffee. We may have to stop by again tomorrow! read more

This drive-thru coffee shop serves one of the best mochas. My boyfriend and I always stop here when we're in town and are never disappointed. The barista is always so friendly and the coffee is great. On our last visit, we were even given complimentary gingerbread cookies. It just about made my day. I highly recommend this coffee joint if you're ever nearby. read more
