We ordered NY strip loin with buttered pasta because our kid wanted to eat only buttered pasta. They were able to accommodate the request and our kid ate all the pasta. The adults (aka the parents) shared the truffle spaghetti and meatballs, NY strip loin and linguine pescatore. Portion size was good. Pasta was al dente. There was a generous amount of seafood in the linguine pescatore. The meatballs were made well and seasoned nicely. The truffle flavour was not strong with the spaghetti although it is not really a complaint. Steak was cooked medium rare as requested with a generous amount of sautéed mushroom. I managed to pack a light lunch back home. For dessert, we ordered a tiramisu to share. We were pleasantly surprised to find it was on the house. It was presented nicely, tasted house made and scrumptious. It was a great way to end the meal. Restaurant was quiet with some take out orders as we were eating so early. Ambiance is nice, festive and cozy. Our server was great too once he made it to work and even opened the door for us as we left the restaurant. Prices were reasonable for the portion size. Overall, it was a great dining experience. The service was excellent and one of the better experiences I have encountered recently. Overall I felt the dishes were solid but some such as the calamari could have had cooked longer to show some browning on the outside of the rings as the outside of the calamari looked anemic. Sure Mediterranean diet is considered to be a "healthy" diet etc. However the ingredients if not sourced from organic farms etc,, it would render any "healthy" attributes meaningless. FYI, peppers and tomatoes are well documented to contain high amounts of pesticides. If they are not duly removed, they would do more harm than good. Having said that, some are more sensitive to inflammation than others I am more than happy to re-review when your restaurant can stake the organic ingredients or non-pesticide claim. Drink Selection: Simple cocktail menu with a spanish twist to them - if you really want to call it a "spanish cocktail". Price and Value: Good value for money, priced just right. Due to Covid protocols only patio was open, which worked fine for us, also set up socially distance. Great service. Mine was light, fluffy, flakey and bright with a perfectly cooked soft poached egg. It's a clean feeling breakfast. My sister's carbonara was a proper carbonara (made with egg yolks) it was really savoury and a touch too salty for me but I enjoyed a taste of it. We also ordered the basque cheesecake. I've noticed more and more basque cheesecakes on menus but very rarely do restos do it right. I was looking for a gooy-er lighter but full cheese flavoured basque and unfortunately this just doesn't hit the mark - it's a bit dense and lacks that rich cheese flavour.
