8-course tasting menu to try out most of the popular dishes. I asked for low sodium low citrus however since most of the dishes were prepared in advance they could not change. White anchovy toast is delicious. Quite a bit of citrus as the first dish. Veal tartare is quite salty especially to pair with chips. I think it might have a more balance flavour to pair with gourmet crackers. The best dish is SQUASH ROTOLO WITH BRAISED SHORT RIB. The pasta is soft. The butternut squash is silky and the braised short rib is tender. The duck confit is normal. Good service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant is busy so it's a loud conversational environment with kind of loud music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely family friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Favourites: Stuff Pasta, Seasonal Dolci and the Latte were all very nice, we love our server too (love her green pants). Too soon for me to comment, will have to return as we were to stuffed from HH. General note: all the dishes tasted like it's using real ingredients (not from packages and reheated/msg etc...), their sauces and esp the stuff pasta all tasted handmade and with house made broth. The dessert, the chocolate mousse ganache bottom, the minced dried fruit with it's mince nuts were done so in care (no dusty bit's from a processor, done with a sharp nice so there is such nice clean textures with out mushing the nut oil), the creme on top is not over mixed and oily served in quenelle shaped. Last note: The bathroom lighting needs more wattage, it is very very dim.

My friend and I tried this place for the very first time. The ambiance is warm and inviting, the food is fantastic, and the service is great. There is also a tasting menu, but we opted for 1 starter and 2 mains with a Negroni. I am impressed with how everything was just the right amount. We started with the Duck Liver Parfait, which came with a chutney and crostinis. The server saw that we were running low on crostinis with more of the parfait to spare, and as a result, he brought us more to remedy the problem. We had the lingcod and risotto with scallops for our main, and both were perfectly cooked. To make things more spectacular, we saw the spinning chandelier from our seats. I would love to come back, especially during patio season, to try other menu items. I'd recommend this place to anyone who loves Italian fine dining with decent portion sizes!

Came here for happy hour on a Wednesday. Lots of tables available for happy hour. We had the duck liver and the anchovy on focaccia. The duck liver was my favorite. It was creamy and was had strong flavours. The crostini had too many holes in it for me to be able to slather on more liver but it was very crispy and went well with it. I would order this again The anchovy on focaccia was refreshingly sour. It balanced the other dish well but I wouldn't order it again as I want to try other things on their menu. As for drinks we had the negroni and the limone spritz. Limone spritz was not my cup of tea. The negroni was nice and strong. Wouldn't get these next time. Tiramisu was good. Not too sweet. Very creamy and had a slight alcohol bitter flavour which balanced it well Overall I would definitely come back for happy hour food to try their other menu items. The service is fast and friendly

Solid spot for Italian under the Granville bridge! They recently refreshed their menu and have some cool features too. The pasta remains excellent. I recommend sitting at the bar because it gets quite drafty by the window.

Finally had the opportunity to visit this restaurant. Has been on my list for a while and thought the quality of the food was pretty good. The reason why I'm giving this restaurant a 3 is because of the price vs quantity vs quality. The portion sizes are pretty small for the price that you pay. Our meal averaged at about $60pp for 3, including 1 drink per person and this was also inclusive of some happy hour dishes and then two mains and two desserts. I was happy with the quality of the food, but really surprised with the portion of the pasta that was served given the price was sitting around $26+. If we hadn't ordered that many appys I don't think we would've been full, we also had some foccacia bread which I feel was a Filler, which shouldn't be the case. Anyways, if you're wanting to check it out I'd recommend still going as the food was good, but you might be a bit hungry if you don't get enough dishes to feed your soul!

Definitely try the Bolognese and the clams linguine. Won't regret it. So far my favorite Italian restaurant in Vancouver!

Cute lil date spot! My review is only wine and dessert as we came here after my husband's bday…read moredinner for a nightcap. We both ordered red wines to start which we both enjoyed. Good wine list! Hubby switched to a negroni that he liked and I had more wine but this time late night happy hour had started which was a nice treat! We ordered the Dolce de leche dessert and the kitchen was lovely and gave us both desserts on the menu as a bday treat. The rice dessert was incredible - it was like sticky toffee pudding but with a rice base. The caramel sauce was killer! It blew the dolce dessert outta the water. The service was also kind and attentive! The music choices were odd for our night, I love vinyl and collect it myself but just wasn't feeling the vibes that evening, it was a lot of house style music and the same beat over and over with no lyrics. Some folks loved it tho and had asked to move closer to the speaker so to each is own. The tables are also really close to your neighbor so you catch quite abit of convo around you and it's a touch distracting especially when it starts to get little loud as the room is small. It was fun to people watch though.

Ordering style was interesting, after we ordered our small plates we were ready to select our main courses but the staff just took our menu away and we had to ask another server to put in our main entrees. I understand they were busy so they may have assumed we were done ordering but it was a bit of an off putting experience. Overall food was good, the bread was divine. The highlight item for us was the tuna tar tar with chinese donuts, the chili crips totally brought the dish together. Everything else was pretty good, but wasn't amazing as I hoped. The citrus notes in the canton noodles threw me off and the chicken liver mochi balls felt more like a dessert dish than an appetizer for some reason. Highlight was having the DJ also be one of the servers!! Love the vibes that Bar gobo had, definitely a good date spot. Will have to come try it out again next season.

I was particularly disappointed with the oysters and the steak. The oysters were quite small, and I would rather order them somewhere else. The steak was well seasoned but was served at room temperature. I don't think I would come back for dinner, but I might return for a few drinks and some light bites at the bar.

We had a couple appetizers, veggies, salads, mains, and desserts, all for sharing. Here are the highlights: - the June brioche and its honey butter was amazing bread. They serve it together with the pasta for Rachel whose flavours were sublime and in its unique shape. The brioche goes well with the pasta sauce. - truffled eggs were really good - crab dip with spiced madeleines was so unique and really good. - hamachi crudo was sublime. Flavours so so good. - roasted scallop was one of the highlights. The crunchy top combined with roasted flavour and the sauce it comes in - just so so good. - crispy eggplant I liked. Especially served with tomato puree. - the seared trout was really tender and the veggies it comes with complement excellently - the ribeye was amazing - the beignets and that chocolate mousse were fine. Actually the mousse was so light and good - and I hate chocolate! The only things I thought were just ok were the croquettes and the trout rilette. Highly highly recommended for all occasions especially special ones.

They've a lovely patio facing the seawall, and especially in the summer, it looks so inviting, and patrons often bring their dogs, and I just love the whole vibe. In the winter, too, it always looks like people are enjoying themselves here, with the warm lighting and twinkling lights. Since this wine bar is attached to the restaurant Provence, I've often passed here and heard live jazz musicians and singers who perform certain nights of the week, and man, they sound GOOD. It just always felt like this would be a super place to mellow out, have a glass of good wine, relax with friends, either on a summer day or at night, any season. I finally got to check it out in person today. I went with a friend for a drink mid-day, sitting outside. The weather was lovely, and it was a perfect day. Carmen was our server and she was great. I appreciated how knowledgable she was regarding all the wine and cocktail selections. My friend had a glass of white wine which she loved, and I had an amazing cocktail with lavender and rose. They have a decent happy hour selection which, unfortunately, we were too early to partake of. Their regular wine menu is extremely extensive. What a great neighborhood place! Will definitely return.
