This is the classic, medium jerk chicken entree. 10/10, would recommend.

Was visiting my friend in Philadelphia, we decided to take a drive out of the city and into the heart of PA. We randomly ended up in Coatesville and wanted to try some local jerk chicken. Wow. This place is excellent. Classic styrofoam trays complete with cabbage, rice, plantains, and a hearty helping of chicken! The employee who served us was exceedingly friendly and helpful, the bathroom was immaculately clean, and the entire lunch experience was nothing but positive. Keep in mind, I'm not much of a jerk chicken eater, but this place may have converted me. Excellent food, excellent service, in a nice, clean restaurant!

Ackee and saltfish, jerk chicken, oxtail, rice, fried plantains.

Delicious local restaurant - if good food is your top priority, go here. Just go. The oxtail was beyond delicious: seasoned beautifully, cooked beautifully. Jerk chicken and sauce were super flavorful. Rice was the perfect accompanying dish. And!! Ackee and saltfish was well worth the wait (it's prepared to order). Hadn't had it before and the balance of flavors was delicate and delicious. If you order this, eat it first. (They accommodated us with extra plates so we could all try everything.) Last but not least: fried plantains. I'm running out of words to rave, and they were really good. The restaurant seems to do a lot of carry out business. Not a super fancy interior; didn't miss it. Coolers of soda - familiar and Jamaican varieties - comprise the drink menu. (Tinga is a sugar-sweetened grapefruit soda: worthwhile.) Well done, JamRock. Looking forward to returning! Until then, I'm looking forward to eating the leftovers.

5 Stars! A few weeks ago I went on a cruise and one of the ports was in Montego Bay. Irony would have me having more authentic Jamaican cuisine in Pennsylvania, as opposed to Jamaica itself! This place is awesome. I had the Jerk Fish with beans/rice, cabbage and plantains. The plaintains were absolutely delicious, so flavorful that I wish I had ordered an extra side. I asked Colleen, (the super friendly owner) what made that rice so delicious and she mentioned coconut milk. Yum! I also tried a veggie patty. Enjoyed that as well. ~various options for Vegetarians~ The jerk sauce that was poured over my tilipia and rice was beyond flavorful. The fish was cooked perfectly and the jerk seasoning wasn't overly spicy, perfect for me. This was a delicious meal to say the least. I paid $12 total, and made 2 meals out of it. The portion size was absurd. JamRock was super clean inside, the staff were all very welcoming and I was happy to enjoy such authentic Jamaican cuisine. Coatesville is a community in great need of businesses that are able to thrive and stick around so JamRock please suffice this need! You have surely earned my business!

But what was even more unexpected was just how good it was. Being Haitian American, this is the food I grew up on. It's the cuisine I'm most familiar with, so I don't say this lightly: Manje might be the highest-quality Haitian restaurant I've ever been to. The snapper was top-tier elite. Seasoned perfectly, fried perfectly, and honestly just one of those dishes where you take a bite and immediately know they know what they're doing. I made the rookie mistake of coming in right before closing, so they were out of a few things--including the black rice. But that white rice? Better than 90% of the rice I've probably ever had. Haitians make the best rice. I'm willing to die on that hill. And what made this visit even more memorable was that it wasn't just about the food. The dining space was really nice, and the customer service was excellent. And if you know Haitian restaurants, you know I'm saying a LOT when I point that out. Manje is honestly everything I wish I had in my local town. Great food, a beautiful space, welcoming service, and a menu centered around a cuisine that's near and dear to my heart. An absolute must-stop if you're anywhere near West Chester and looking for Haitian food. Manje understood the assignment.

Solid food and friendly service. Good portion size, and the food was fresh…read more Not the bets you'll have, but probably the best you can find in the area, which is a bit of a desert for great Caribbean food.

We were finally able to stop in after a movie and ordered few items for takeout. There's also indoor dining available, but the seats are limited. The restaurant itself feels very unique, comfortable and there's definitely a hint of history showing. What we ordered: -Beef Patty (Delicious, very fresh and flavorful) -Vegetable Patty (Delicious, very fresh and flavorful. The taste reminds me very much of a Grandma's home cooked Chicken potpie) -Jerk Chicken platter (Very good and delicious. With the exception of cabbage, it had no flavor, could use some salt and pepper at least) -Curry Chicken platter (Very good and delicious, same issue with the cabbage) Keep in mind the patty's can take up to 30 minutes to make and cook, I didn't mind it they are well worth the wait. a MUST HAVE. Both of the platters comes with Rice or Rice and beans. We will definitely be back.

I had the chicken curry, red beans & rice, cabbage, plantains, and bread. These were the best red beans & rice I have had in the USA. The bread looks like it was from the grocery, but in tastes delicious. I took home about half of my rice and beans. When I go back here again, I will have the same thing. My husband went in for the food and said that the place was spotless. The owners were very careful about handing everything properly.
