The place was nice, and the food was good. Service was quick, but the inside is a very small, no sitting room just grab an go. There was a young gentleman there that in my eyes was not getting treated the best infront of customers which really rubbed me the wrong way and I felt bad for him. I get there's learning and hoping the person improves and training at what they are doing but to belittle infront of customers is a no go.

Amazing!!! Wow!!! First thing we noticed was the customer service. Great!!! The food is exquisite - comes out quick! I chose Brown Stew Chicken and Curry Chicken. Both great.. but, that Brown Stew Chicken is highly addictive. The rice and peas with cabbage, great pairing with sweet plantains. Conch soup Saturdays?! Will lift your spirits and wake the dead. Perfect pairing after a night out! Don't forget the patties- Jerk Chicken sexy and spicy. Vegan? No worries!' Their Veggie Patty with cabbage- exquisite. Let's not forget our Curry Chicken Patty-tasty and mild. Grab a Ginger Beer and sold! This is fantastic food with great and happy ambiance! Must try DO NOT pass it up!

I'm happy I've found good Jamaican cuisine in Kendall because I grew up eating this food. The customer service is top notch, they are so friendly and even walk out occasional to check up on customers dining outside. The food is reasonably priced for Miami. I tried the oxtail with rice and peas as well as a beef and curry chicken patty. The oxtail was full a flavor and fall off the bone. Lots of meat in each chunk. The beef patty was only okay to me but the curry chicken patty was amazing! So spicy and delicious was my favorite thing here to far. The location itself is very small inside. Very colorful, bright and welcoming vibe. You would have to eat outside with the tables provided or take out. Huge plaza so plenty of parking.

Can't beat a local place with friendly service and great authentic food! To start we had spicy beef patties which are great. Ordered the Saturday ONLY special Conch soup. The broth was delicious but could use a few more bits of conch. The jerk chicken wrap was flavorful and the oxtail with rice and beans was excellent with lots of meat that falls off the bone! It's a small location with a few seats outside, so make sure you get there early as it's very popular and can run out of patties if that's what you're looking for.

My new favorite Jamaican food restaurant

After COVID we lost one of our favorite local go to Jamaican restaurant and sadly have been doing without for about a year, but a couple weeks ago while chatting with one of my Yelp friends she recommended JAMROC. On Thursday evening I was in the Kendall area and decided to give it a try. When we arrived was surprised it was a very small place, but seemed cozy with only two tables outside if you are looking to dine at restaurant, but seems most of their business is carry out and delivery orders. Owners Chef Maurice Chang is cooking in back kitchen and Marcia taking care of walk in customers and delivery orders. Their food is Jamaican chineaste fusion and you can tell when you walk in and greeted by Marcia's super friendly personality and the savory aroma of cooking food and spices that you know it's going to be a good experience. Place is very clean and their is a constant flow of people coming and going, but Marcia handles it well spending enough time with us to become familiar with their food and helping us out with first order. We ordered Oxtail and also the Jerk Chicken/Pork combo with a side of roti and goat curry sauce. When food was ready we decided to eat at their outside tables and it was served up quickly and gotta say that it was VERY delicious. Sauce on Oxtail was amazing and meat was cooked to perfection and slide right off the bone. Jerk chicken and pork was also very good and roti's accompanied with goat curry was also very good. Portion were good size so we opted to take bread pudding dessert home. Our experience here was beyond what was expected and glad we now have our new goto place for Jamaican food. Highly recommend this place in Kendall!

Welcome to Jamrock! I must say this is the best Jamaican spot I've ever eaten from. We got takeout, so can't speak to the atmosphere or location, but the food is fire! I personally ordered the curry goat, but made it a point to try a little of everyone's meals which included: oxtail, jerk chicken, and brown stew chicken. The curry goat was bomb. Jam-packed with flavor, a perfect amount of spice and nice meaty chunks. The oxtail was delectable. Fall off the bone tender and bone-sucking good. The brown-stew chicken was the best I'd ever had. I normally stick to goat or oxtail at Jamaican spots, but this had me licking the plate. The jerk chicken was my least favorite, but still very good. I only ate one small piece and it was a piece of breast meat that was a little on the dry side, but again, not bad by any means. Will 100 percent want to eat here again when in the area.

The service here is amazing. It might be a small place but you know it's good when the place is small very neat and organized with a lot of different drinks from Jamaica and seasonings. The customer service was outstanding. Very nice. It makes you feel like you're at home. they also asked me if I want extra gravy with no charge. It was amazing. You have to try it and the portion makes my plate so heavy.

The flavors were really hittin--not salty but definitely not lacking in flavor and complexity. So delicious The only criticism I would have from what I ordered is that the rice was ever so slightly undercooked which made it a bit dry. Other than that, everything was great. If you're looking for something unique to try at the Citadel, Manjay is worth a shot. They serve Haitian cuisine. Portions were generous and in general, the food was kind of heavy. Many of the components I believe were made to order, so there was a short wait. Here's what my wife and I ordered: Appetizer: * Caribbean Conch Fritters ($14) - Manjay pikliz, honey mustard remoulade These were big and tasty. Six pieces, like giant hush puppies with conch inside. The plate came with pikliz in the center. Pikliz is like the Haitian version of coleslaw, made with cabbage, carrots, onions, and peppers. Manjay's version was spicy and yummy. Bowls, each with 2 sides and 1 sauce: * Honey Jerk Chicken Bowl ($18) - breaded and tossed in Manjay's homemade honey jerk sauce; with red beans rice and sweet plantains and scotch bonnet mango aioli * From Haiti with Love (Griyo) ($18) - Deep-fried Kreyol-style slow-braised pork; with banan payzay and toofay Both the chicken and pork were very good and flavorful. The pork was served bone-in. The rice and beans and sweet plantains were comforting and addictive. The scotch bonnet mango aioli was spicy. Banan payzay are Haitian pressed plantains. These were savory and starchy. The toofay ("legume") was good too. It's a hearty vegetable stew, essentially Haitian ratatouille. Our cashier was Roniqua and she was nice. During our visit, I think Manjay had the longest line (a good sign). After walking around, looking at the other food court options and seeing Manjay's high rating on Yelp, we were sold on Manjay. We dined in so we got real plates and silverware. We actually took everything up to the rooftop bar and ate up there. Our trays were bussed by the staff on the roof. Along with this location at the Citadel food court in Little River (just north of Little Haiti), Manjay has a casual strip location near the Miami airport in Doral. This Citadel location is the original; it opened in February 2019. The Doral location opened in 2024.

Our waitress, Marcia from Venezuela, was friendly and enthusiastic about the menu and making sure our evening was fun. We started with mojitos and a Margo-no-rita. Sugar cane and mint leaves spill out of the top of the mojitos. My wife said she didn't miss the alcohol in the Rita. We moved on to ham croquettes and empanadas. The croquettes are flavor bombs with the lime salt sending them to the next level. The empanadas are good and full of meat filling. We had 4 different entrees and shared them. My smoked pork was a tad dry but the Smokey presentation offset the texture. We did have to move the smoker off the table as it got eye irritating. I would have also liked a plate to move everything to after the wow factor. (I should have asked for one). My wife's fried fish is served whole in chunky bites. Flavored well it was great on its own. She thought the chili oil sauce had an Asian flare which felt off theme. Our friends dishes were the flank steak (good size and flavor) which was cooked to his required doneness, and the Marabu Charcoal pork. Both dishes were delicious with their sauces. Marcia suggested a fiery sauce if we liked heat. We told her to bring it and it did not disappoint. Heat at all levels left a good lingering heat for minutes. It was good with everything. We skipped dessert as we were full and chose to window shop in the mall to walk off a full belly. Highly recommend, ask for Marcia and we will be back.
