Horrible customer service. Was there yesterday. Spent $25 on cards. Asked the old bat that rang us up to check my account for coupons. She said I had none available. NOT TRUE. has $2 off and free card. I brought the coupons in this morning and was told I could not get the free card, coupon not valid on prior purchases. WTH. DO NOT SHOP HERE. I have been to this store 4 times inquiring about the vintage angel ornament, I was told it was not available until after Dec 2nd. NO OTHER INFORMATION. I went tonight 12-7-23 and told they dont have any. The pre-orders started in July. Why in Gods name didnt one single employee tell me that there would be none available unless I preordered. Instead they just kept me in the dark. Just Rude terrible people working here. I walked out and will never return to buy anything from this store, they DO NOT deserve my business. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Worse customer service and very unprofessional help. Not sure about other employees but DEBBIE was the one I dealt with. I drove to and went inside 4 UPS Stores (it was a Saturday afternoon so all USPS locations were closed already) to look for US postage stamps that would have a nice floral or wedding themed picture instead of the usual American flag forever stamps. None of them had it available. The last location I visited recommended going to a Hallmark store as they sometimes carry postage stamps specifically for wedding invites. The closest hallmark to where I was is Jane's Hallmark. I decided to call ahead before driving another 15mins to make sure that they had what I was looking for. Phone rang twice before Debbie picked up the phone. I asked her if they carried wedding themed, Love or floral designed US postage stamps. She said "we usually do." I asked her if they had them on hand now so I could drive over there and buy them. She said "we usually do but I'm not going to check the drawer now. We're really busy." Someone with that personality and attitude should not be in customer service. If she was able to answer the phone in 2 rings, how long could it possibly take to open a drawer and look for stamps? I've been to this hallmark location and it's not that big. Will never give this store the time of day ever again. read more

Huge variety at this Hallmark store. I found exactly what I was looking for and probably could have found more if I had allowed myself to. :) 4/5 because customer service wasn't that fantastic. No one asked me if I needed assistance or said "hello" when I walked in. If you're looking for a very specific card though (Boss's Birthday, Happy Divorce, etc.), you're likely to find it here. read more

The return policy at this store is much worse than buying from Hallmark online. At this location, you cannot return items after 30 days (if you buy online, the corporate return policy is 90 days). No "post season returns" and no returns on keepsake or sale items. Buyers should be aware of that. I wanted to return a baby's first Christmas ornament that I was gifted duplicates of, but was not allowed to due to this return policy. If the item was bought online though, I would have no problem returning it. Oh well. read more

Even when items are clearly tagged, they will not provide a merchandise credit for an exchange at lowest sales price. I would recommend buying from another store with better customer service. read more

As stated in Previous Reviews this is a poorly run store. The quality of customer service is unbelievable and less then that of a fast food restaurant. I expect a response from the owner of the store. I would be surprised if they were aware of the customer care at this location. I frequent the hallmark near me so much they know be by name. And have no trouble with returns they can simply look it up under my Crown Rewards card. I was told at this location without a receipt they could not make a return or exchange, even for a similar item. They have no way of looking up a previous purchase even with a credit card (which was purchased 9days prior). Its almost 2020 ??? I received a coupon from this location, and was in the area. They can keep their coupons. Not a Hallmark movie ending I expect from hallmark. shame on you ! read more

I came in to Hallmark to browse. I was met with very rude customer service. When I was looking at the ornaments I was quickly told my a store associate that I should just tell her what I was looking for it'd be easier. She was very rude. I didn't know which ornament I wanted, I wanted to look at my options not rushed along. I was meant with extreme rudeness from all 3 sales associates the entire time I was shopping. Because of this I left the store without making a purchase and took my business elsewhere. These sales associates need major customer service training. read more

How many Yankee Candle Co. locations can you think of? Alright, that's enough time thinking. Now. How many HALLMARK locations can you think of? Probably a couple more at least right? But chances are you probably haven't bothered stepping into a Hallmark because it's easy enough to pick up a card at a grocery store. If you're looking for a really cute little stuffed animal, beanie baby, holiday trinket, quality singing cards (that I think are too expensive but I'm a cheap-o) or Yankee Candles, come ooooon in! You won't find a whole STORE full of candles, but there is a pretty great selection of small, medium, and large candles, as well as air fresheners by Yankee which are VERY strong scented. If you're feeling stuck and need a quick gift especially if it's not for a birthday but more for an Easter/Valentine's Day holiday you should check out Hallmark if you're stuck, because you're sure to find SOMETHING. read more

I usually buy stuff from this store and never again, the way this place does business is a joke. There employees are useless and make stupid rules that hurt this owners business. I highly recommend you shop hallmark on rand rd, I believe in mt. prospect or palatine great store and excellent service. read more
