The staff here said hi as I entered and then gave me the freedom to browse. Anyway, it's a lovely little store with some really nice things. It's not just a clothing store, which I appreciate. They do have clothing, but when I was here most of the merchandise was non-clothing; books, toys, games, and so on. The prices weren't super out of line with other children's stores around. The clothing is more on the expensive end--they don't really seem to sell mid-range stuff here. But it's high quality children's clothing (but do check labels--I've been to some children's stores where dry clean is recommended and that's not something I can justify for children's clothing, though I do forget to check the labels). I stopped in to see if I could find something for my friend's son for his birthday, but didn't find something that jumped out on me at this trip. I am not in Northfield very often, so it's not a shop that would be a place that I would just pop by. But if you're looking for something special or a nice gift it would be a good place to take a look.

The store is well organized with lots of tailored, quality options that make nice gifts; more on the vintage/preppy side. Don't know how the clothes hold up with washes but if the price tag is any indication, I'm going to assume well. There is a sales rack in the back that have a good variety of styles/sizes as well. As far as their clothes, they feature a particular series of patterns on their clothing for a set amount of time and then switch it up. Kind of cool. Another lady offered to help pack up my items, and here, they actually removed the tags before putting my clothes in the bag. They might consider asking a customer first. Not that I could've returned them anyway, but I'd prefer to remove the tags at home myself. I'd also much prefer the tags be cut off with scissors if anything, not roughly ripped off by hand. Yikes. Talk about cringe. Once I got to my car, I was actually compelled to check the collars of the shirts for any damage or rips... Happy shopping!

Old Navy is usually known for being family-friendly and approachable, but moments like this really affect the overall shopping experience. I hope the store management takes this seriously and reminds staff (if it was an employee) that tone and attitude matter. A simple word said the wrong way can make customers feel unwelcome, and that's not what anyone wants when they come in to shop.

We kindly asked the cashier agent (nice) if we can check our bags to avoid any issue. She kindly took the bags with pleasure. I shopped and checked out, and waited (outside-it was cold inside) for my cousin to finish her shop and purchase over $200 worth of Old navy gear. I did not collect the other bags behind the counter due the fact that my cousin was still shopping and rather her handle the bags due to my disability. I suppose the lead agent/managaer was not comfortable in keeping the bags behind the counter and came "outside" the store to tell me collect the bags because they do want to be responsible in a "professional rude" manner (embarrasing). I am sure you all store have cameras everywhere, not sure why he was so concerned, instead of advising the cashier " next time advise customers, we do not check or take bags; they are more than welcome to carry them in the store." Every demographic and business handles those situations due to theft. It should have been handle better if he was the leader/management. Thank you.

They actually went in the back and checked stock - twice and brought out several options in the sizes I needed. Do you think they read my last review? I just wanted to tell you that I'm starting to restore my faith in this particular location. Thank you for pulling it together at your store, because I've been really unhappy with the customer service and you managed to take a super frustrated mom with twins and win her over again.
