Thier motto "Best buns in town" JJ let me take the pic

Needed a place for breakfast and Jan's place popped up. Found it and place was busy but was able to get a seat at the counter. I got the crabmeat Benedict with a fruit side. Cyndi had an omelet stuffed and fluffy with side of potatoes and their homemade biscuits. JJ was our waitress and she was wonderful and didn't want for anything. Food was wonderful Definitely a plus for breakfast

Jan's Place is always a definite stop whenever we're in Jensen Beach! From the moment you walk in and smell the cinnamon buns baking, you know you're in for something special. We were seated right away, and the friendly staff made us feel instantly welcome. My husband had the smoothie, and it was spot on--just as delicious as the ones we make at home. I had the Sunrise Burger on an English muffin, cooked perfectly to a medium and bursting with flavor. The crispy, hot, perfectly seasoned French fries that came with it were the ideal side. Service was amazing too--someone was always coming around to top off drinks, and my tea stayed piping hot. Every visit here is consistently wonderful. Great food, great people, and that unmistakable small-town charm keep us coming back year after year

Great breakfast location. Upon arrival we were greeted and quickly sat. It was quiet, considering how busy they were. The food came out quite quickly and was quite delicious.Large portions with prices that are not too high.

This place is like an old school dinner/coffee shop. The service is great and you can tell locals come here and tourists return. This was our second visit. The drinks were ok but mostly juice, not much vodka. I had to add water to my bloody because it was too tomatoey. . The food is good, not great. The cinnamon rolls which they tout were very disappointing. Doughy and the icing didn't have great flavor. None of us were really impressed and probably will not make a third visit here.

Our gang of 4 enjoyed our return to Jan's Place. Brief wait, mid-day, off-season. Enjoyed Rib-eye Steak and 3 Eggs with potatoes and rye toast, breakfast tacos with chorizo, Fosters French Toast, and potato cakes on the side. All delicious. Funny, attentive service. Small gripe: Starting in November, switching to mandatory service fee in lieu of tips because of Florida's new minimum wage law. Expect other restaurants to follow. Credit card surcharge...now standard in Florida

Came with company from out of the country to our favorite place for breakfast. Everything about Jan's Place is done with precision. Each of us ordered something different. Our guest had the California Benedict, my son had the meat lovers omelette of which it was so large he could only eat half and I ate my fave the egg's Neptune Benedict of which I ate the whole breakfast and loved it all. The lobster sauce is second to none! The service is very special because everyone is happy and pleasant and really treats the guests with a special kind of caring and professionalism. The restaurant has a steady stream of customers and we received our table in order of our position- moves steadily and fairly!

I've been coming to this place for years as I found it on the first time I went to the Stuart Florida area. They always have the best breakfast which I get on a daily basis when I'm in town. Always friendly to my dog and make him his scrambled eggs along with my usual Neptune omelette. Do yourself a favor and visit

I AM back- and glad I am! Breakfast doesn't get much better than this. Freshly prepared food served in a great place. Love the handmade art pieces that are everywhere and are for sale! Can't wait until next year's visit!

    Salmon, crab, asparagus Benedict. Good!

Had another good experience at Jan's. Arrived late on a Friday afternoon - just before closing. Sat outside, had the BLT on sourdough instead of a croissant and salmon, crab, and asparagus eggs Benedict. Good food all around. My wife loved the poached salmon, the eggs were cooked perfectly too. My BLT was a haphazardly thrown together but who cares? Tasted good and fresh - works for me! The REAL treat? Sweet potato fries. These are the most unique and tasty sweet potato fries I've ever had. Thick cut, almost steak fries. DELICIOUS! Server was Drew - he was pleasant, helpful, and efficient. No complaints!

A year later and the food was still unbelievable. Service was spot on and still affordable. Had the Crab Cakes Benedict and they were great with nice cakes covered with a very smooth hollandaise. Nice visit again.

Was a casual diner vibe for breakfast. There were a lot of menu options to choose from with some unique specials. Service was quick as we went during the week so it was not very busy. Overall an enjoyable experience

    Homemade cornbeef Hash and eggs

Visited here this morning and found the place to be very clean and inviting. I had the Crab Cake Benedict and enjoyed it, my friend had the cornbeef hash and said he isn't accustomed to fresh homemade Hash but liked it. The service was very very good and friendly. Try it, and let us know what you think.

    Are the dog friendly?

Jan's has a small seating area outside the front of the restaurant. I believe dogs are OK there. TO be sure, just call the restaurant.

    Good espresso coffee?

A rich, smooth, French roast coffee and excellent cocktails. I don't recall expresso.

The pork on the Cuban was cooked perfectly. Slow roasted, full of flavor, and not dry at all. You could taste the quality right away. The sandwich overall was a 10 out of 10. The fries were clearly made in house. They had a really cool texture, light, airy, almost fluffy. Hard to describe but different in a really good way and the flavor backed it up. Coleslaw was solid too. Light, refreshing, and had a nice slight sweetness that balanced everything out. The staff was great, friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. However, I felt like they missed the opportunity to do a full bird-themed restaurant. They could've at least used beach birds for their logo design instead of going two directions with their decor. I appreciated catching pieces of conversation from the locals meeting up at other tables around me. The casual and friendly server immediately put me at ease.

It was ready quickly but as soon as I picked it up I knew it had foam by the weight of it. I had 2 sips, took off the lid and my cup was less than 3/4 full and there was still more foam on top. Hence the 4 stars. It was pretty good but barista's..."No foam/No room means fill it to the rim please and I do not want any foam. The atmosphere: The restaurant is ultra modern with a bit of all natural spliced in. It offers dining and a small store to buy some of their offerings. The service: Service was efficient and although our food took longer than expected to arrive, our server kept visiting us to refill our drinks. The food: We all had burgers and fries. The burgers were tasty and juicy and the fries were great. We also shared a honey pie dessert which was also an interesting offering and well made. The bottom line: As always with my reviews the bottom line "customer so what" would we come back? The answer... nope! I'm sure your asking, If the service was good, the atmosphere nice and the food great, why would we not come back? The answer is the price. It's not often I pay over $100 for burgers, fries, a shared dessert and drinks but we did here. The food was good but not THAT good that it warranted that kind of price.

One person in our party, ordered a side salad which wasn't delivered, it was questioned on where it was, we were told it was coming out with the main entrée. The steak was not cooked as requested. Yet everyone else's food was correctly cooked. I'm not sure why it took three hours, but that's how long we were there. After traveling all day it made for even longer day. There's a 16% service charge that automatically added your bill yet the hostess stated when she was seating us that they don't receive tips... not sure why she shared that.
