If you're out in downtown Vancouver late at night and need a bite, Japadog is the move. Open until 4 AM, it's the perfect post-night-out food stop. The menu has a lot of options, but my favorites were the Wagyu Beef Dog (#11) and the Pork Dog (#1). Both were packed with flavor and loaded with the signature Japanese-inspired toppings that made Japadog famous. The combination of savory meats, sauces, and fresh toppings takes a simple hot dog to another level. Quick service, great late-night eats, and a Vancouver classic that's worth trying at least once.

I had Japadog in Santa Monica which was a cart. I knew it wasn't the real experience which I got in Vancouver. We ordered the bento box although expensive was a great treat. The lemonade was on point. That brings us to the hotdogs which first things first came on an excellent bun. I had the BLT which wasn't a risk and delivered. Doing the simple things well. The original #1 was delicious and the reason for proof of concept, the avocado fortunately went to an Avocado lover, not for me. Haters gunna hate, Japadog hits the spot. The dining part need a lot of help, doesn't consider the consumer and it is obvious. Do better on that.

Had Japadog on my Vancouver food list and it happened to be a block away from our hotel so honestly... kismet. We tried the Okonomi, Terimayo and karaage chicken. Everything was really tasty but the karaage was probably my favorite bite which maybe feels like cheating since it's technically not a hot dog lol. Where else in North America are you getting Japanese-inspired hot dogs at 11pm? Such a fun spot for a quick bite or late night snack if you're in the area.

Walked over here since we were staying in a hotel nearby and heard it was a Canadian classic. They have some indoor seating and also some tables outside. Overall thought it was ok but it seems like it would be a good late night spot since it's open until 3 or 4am Kurobuta terimayo: 3/5 this was ok I think I just don't love sweet hot dogs so might just be a personal preference thing. The bread was nice and toasted though which I liked

Came here late in the evening. Parking wasn't that great ended up getting a ticket, but the food was awesome and well worth it LoL. My family and I we ordered Japanese Style Curry with Rice, Japanese Style Curry with Rice Karaage Chicken and Cheese, Spicy Cheese Terimayo, and Kurobuto Okonomi. Everything was delicious and fresh. The hotdogs had the most perfect snap to it. If you are ever near by do come by and give them a try. The workers all work so hard they take care of the place. They were cleaning up when we got there. There was no line when we were there but the food did come out fast.

We visited Japadog before sports game and wanted to grab hotdog. We hadn't visited here quite a while... So, we wanted to try Vancouver's iconic food again. What we got: Teriyaki Egg mayo dog, Chicken Japamiso burger and shaked fries(shoyu butter). I did not have chicken japamiso burger, I was told it was just ok. My Teriyaki egg mayo dog had tamago sandwich filling(egg and mayo) on the top of sausage. Idea was unique. Bun was dry, and I remember bun had a good balance of sweetness, but, I could not find the flavor this time. Sausage was just ok. Shaked fries was too salty, I could not eat more than a few pieces. I never had such a salty fries before. And it took more than 20 - 25 minutes to serve our food(it was not really busy) and my first choice was out of stock, and I overheard other customers had the same issue for out of stock. I felt it was not really organized. Food was just average except salty fries, I really wish they improve their service and inventory management.

The Kurobuta terimayo was absolutely delicious. The pork sausage is served hot and fresh and all the toppings that come with it make it so good. Love the seaweed that's on top of it and the mayo was also good. The shake fries have the perfect texture and the seasoning makes it even more prefect.

I had an overnight layover in Vancouver, and this is the place I chose to go for my only meal in the city; that's how good it is. I first tried Japadog years ago, and it made a lasting impression for the most unique hot dog offerings. Everything on the menu deserves its own individual shoutout: the drinks, the hot dogs, the poutine, the dessert ice cream, everything is simply worth a visit! Even late at night, there was always someone in line. This time around, I visited a bit late at night, which was a new experience. My only two complaints and reasons for the one star short is that we were left to dine in the cold since the indoor dining closed after 10pm, and many of the fan favorite menu items were completely sold out. I would suggest for the owners to invest in an outdoor heater to keep customers warm in the wintertime if it's not possible to extend dining hours indoors past 10pm. And given the demand for some of the menu items, it might be prudent to maintain supplies to keep up with the demand. I'm sure I'm not the only person who returns hoping to taste something, and it would be disappointing to leave without a chance, especially as we travel from other countries. Overall, Japadog is just as great as I remembered. Although I didn't get a chance to order the items I wanted, I had fun exploring new menu varieties. Definitely looking forward to next time....

Pretty good! Got their best seller, honestly didn't find it too special but it was my first time eating a hot dog. Really juicy though! Service was really quick and they were open late which was nice, no indoor seating at night but there's a nice outdoor space

Overall: B // 4 stars Extremely interesting offering of fast food that is much better in every aspect compared to America. Would definitely be happy to have this as an option at the airport. (Yakisoba Dog: A) - Intriguing Japanese take on a hot dog that beautifully blends western and eastern street food together. (Pink Lemonade: C) - Very mid lemonade with not much to say; a bit highly priced for the slightly artifical nature of the drink. Food: +1 Presentation: E Price: E Atmosphere: E Service: E Menu: +1 Insta/Yelp/Beli/TikTok: @amei_eats

For 3am, this hotdog tasted great. Was worried that it was just hype, but definitely tasted great. The workers were nice, and took less than 10 minutes for our order.

Hot Spicy - No longer available??? *Sad face*
    Jesse W.

The hype is earned. However, the HOT SPICY dog is on the website menu but no longer available, at least the downtown Robson store and the cart is no longer on Burrard St. PLEASE, PLEASE, bring it back! I could take a bath in that spicy relish they used to use. Who's with me?

Stopped for a snack while on the way to a Stanley park from the Capilano park. Heard this was unique to Vancouver and they have multiple locations, so figured we'd try it out. We split number 13 and my son had a number 7, which we all enjoyed. We also had the shaken fries, a match milkshake, and a yuzu coconut lemonade(my favorite. Certainly not fine dining, but I gotta give them 5 stars for creativity alone.

I always order beef tongue, Japanese fried chicken, and shrimp mayonnaise. These are my must-orders and their signature dishes. The beef tongue is actually quite simple; it's delicious just from being lightly heated. The hot stone slab is served piping hot, perfect for searing meat. Be quick, or it will cool down. The Japanese fried chicken is tender, juicy, and incredibly fragrant. The seasoning is just right. The shrimp mayonnaise is plentiful and a perfect match for beer. The two seasonal or specialty dishes of the day weren't as good, and I wouldn't order them again. My advice is to order their most popular and classic dishes, and definitely make a reservation in advance if you want to come (especially on weekends, as the wait can be up to an hour).

The waitress promptly seated us, served us water and hot team. Food was served pretty fast too. The food is where Kingyo truly shines. Every dish is beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The sashimi is incredibly fresh, the karaage is perfectly crispy and juicy, and the hot‑stone Wagyu is unforgettable--tender, rich, and fun to cook right at the table. Their creative dishes like the truffle carbonara udon and corn ribs show how much pride they take in balancing tradition with innovation. Portions are generous, and it's hard not to want to try everything. We wanted to maximize our eating experience, so we ordered their set lunch. Apparently, there are only limited set lunches available, so we had to reserve/order ahead of time, after reviewing their menu online. You know this place is authentic Japanese restaurant when you are greeted by Japanese servers, and you see Japanese sushi chefs! Reservation is highly recommended if you want to be guaranteed a seat.

Every time I come, I can feel the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff. From seating to ordering, and then to the care during the meal, everything is done with great finesse, making me feel comfortable and at ease. Whether it's the freshness of the ingredients, the presentation, or the taste, you can feel the attention to detail. Japanese cuisine emphasizes the quality of the ingredients themselves, and Miku presents this refinement beautifully. Every dish is pleasing to the eye and has a layered flavor. I also love the ambiance. The overall design is simple, elegant, and has a very comfortable Japanese aesthetic. The lighting, seating, and spatial layout all create a relaxing atmosphere without feeling overly decorated; instead, they have a high-quality feel. During that time they take drink orders, which is limited to sake, wine, beer and a few non-alcoholic drinks. Of note, they don't provide a drink menu, so we were a little surprised by the cost - the yuzu sake and the plum wine were $30 each. My non-alcoholic drink was $12, but a fair size. The theatrical portion started a few minutes later than the official start time - closer to 6pm. The shades lifted, the lights turned on, and the chefs introduced themselves.
