This was my first time coming to this nail salon with my boyfriend from Sacramento and he called ahead to ask about pricing and let them know I wanted a basic pedicure with acrylic on the big toes and a cheetah print design. They said it would be $53 and we came in. An older lady was working on my toes and from the beginning I could see she didn't know how to lay the acrylic down and it was uneven and nothing like what I asked for. Another lady had to come and do the other side and try to fix the first side but it still looked crooked. I also showed the older lady what I wanted before she started and she said she could do it but when I showed the other lady she said she didn't know how to do it and nobody else in the show knew how to. The older lady was also using her fingers to squeeze out some kind of solution from her brush which is very unsanitary. I then just asked for basic French tip and showed her another picture but she still made the lines to thick even after asking her several times to thin them out. In attempt to spruce them up l asked for basic flower decals which they did not have nor did they have any gems. I ended up just requesting for the service to be finished so I could be done. The older lady then still tried to charge us until the other lady stepped in and said we didn't have to pay. Definitely do not recommend coming here. read more

Other than the strong smell of acetone and nail polish, my experience at Gel Lust Nails & Spa was great! I'm not sure if appointments really make a difference. I showed up at my appointment time and still had to wait. However, the ladies offered me a snack & water which made the wait pass more quickly. I was getting my nails done for a wedding and all I had to do was show the technician a screenshot I had taken off of Pinterest. Her replication wasn't perfect, but I was happy with it. It helped that she would check-in with me after laying down a coat to verify that the color & design still matched what I wanted. Getting my nails done took about 30-45 minutes and was about $60 for the design I chose. read more

I came here since I was visiting my mom in the area and needed my nails done ASAP. Unfortunately, not all technicians are able to do designs. When I inquired about whether my technician could do a French tip, she said she couldn't and could only do solid colors only despite it being offered as an add-on on the sign. They seemed to be backed up because only one or two people can actually do designs, so they rotate. This actually wasn't that big of a deal to me, but even the basic gel color I ended up getting was pretty thick/uneven. And I think they don't use the best brand since my polish started lifting/peeling pretty soon after compared to other salons I've gone to. I also feel like they didn't clean/cut my cuticles as cleanly as I'm used to despite paying the same price as my regular salon. It's a good spot if you're in a pinch and looking for something affordable, but I would definitely request the more experienced technicians if I were to return in the future. read more

After moving from Rowland Heights to Diamond Bar, I've been to plenty of different nail salons around the area, and I always find myself coming back here. The shop is clean and parking is always easy. The owner Jenny, is extremely friendly, nice, and funny. She always does the best job on my super long acrylic nails! Anything I request, she can do. She's quick at what she does, and very detail oriented and always takes the extra step to make sure your nails are perfect. I love her nail shaping and designs. She never disappoints! Not to mention, the prices are always reasonable. And they always give you snacks and drinks, which is very rare for any salon. The other women usually does my pedicures as well, and they do a great job too! I even brought my boyfriend here for his first pedicure and he loved it! Last week I went in for a regular gel service and dip powder removal. The lady that did my nails was the newer lady (don't know her name), nothing against her but she is so inexperienced with finger nails, I believe she does more pedis, it was agonizing to sit through her trying to figure things out. While I was getting my nails done though, the worst possible thing happened another worker was giving me a massage on my neck and shoulders; then she proceed to reach around my chest and grabbed my breast!!! Both breast, squeezed, laughed and said "oohh natural huh". This incident was revolting and completely uncalled for. In the moment, I was so shocked I honestly didn't know what to do. I wasn't going to post about this, however, it's been eating me up and I will no longer give any business to this shop! Being inappropriately touched is so often depicted by a male/female environment and this is completely not okay. I will not stand for being inappropriately touched and then have the situation be made a mockery. Nothing was funny about it! I wish in the moment I had the strength to speak up other than saying "you cannot do that to people". There's so much I think back on that I should have said. Disappointed because she had us sit down and applied my sisters acrylics (tips), but then resumed services with her until 2 hours later. My sister got additional help from the owner two hours later but she got up quickly once a customer walked in (without appointment). I was very disappointed such a long wait. I came here to get my nails done because of the recent 5 star reviews but this place was a disappointment. It def could be better. Went to the shop on a Tuesday at 11am, thermostat was at 84 degrees. AC was off for what seemed like forever. Not the most comfy environment for what I thought would be a relaxing mani/pedi. Within a day my gel polish started peeling one on of my nails. Went to get it fixed but a couple days later, the rest of em started peeling off my nails. Not sure if it was just the polish I chose or their technique or the equipment. Also when they put my sandals back on after my pedi, it ruined the nail polish. Instead of redoing the nails, they tried to fix it with a little nail polish remover and their fingertips. Still looked funny but at that point I was just tired of sitting there. It's really disappointing considering the cost and it only lasting less than a week. read more

First time coming here. Never again. Worst pedicure ever. It's supposed to be $38 for the signature #2 with the 10 min foot massage. This older lady who did my pedicure did the gel nails first, then she forgot the massage so she did it after doing my toes. She proceeded to "massage" with latex gloves. And by massage I mean rubbing lotion on my calves with rubber latex gloves on, then she just touched my toes and feet and proceeded to rub latex lotion all over. The feeling was extremely unpleasant and my feet now smell like latex then when I get to pay they say it's $51 because the gel is extra $12. Wish they said that before I did gel. I've been to SO many salons in the West Covina, Rowland, Diamond Bar areas that I was starting to get discouraged. The two ladies who run the place are very sweet and attentive. They weren't pushy and asked questions to get to know me. They're the only two there (sometimes 3) but the owner was saying it's because they don't want to feel rushed with their customers. That they want to be able to take their time and really give a good experience for their customers.
