Wow wow wow! I secretly hope that I won't love a place when it's as pricey as Japon for fear that I'll become addicted. Unfortunately Japon was amazing lol. The service was very nice, the ambiance is great, and there's some acrobatic entertainment too. The steak and sushi were great. I definitely want to try more.

Had such a great experience here. The wagyu sliders were the highlight of the night -- incredibly juicy, tender, and full of rich flavor. The kind of dish that makes you pause after the first bite. Definitely one of the best sliders I've had in Miami. The service was just as impressive. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely focused on making sure we had a great time. The pacing was perfect, and every recommendation was spot-on. The inside/outside feel is great. There is also a DJ and a few performances. Overall, an exceptional dining experience from start to finish.

This place is a gem! The octopus was so yummy. One of my favorite dishes wish the portions were a tad bit bigger. The fried rice was really good. They had live entertainment there. Very romantic setting perfect for a date night or special occasion. Dinner reservation is highly recommended. There is valet parking in a parking garage around the corner from the hotel.

Great time and excellent service (Kate & Hailey were phenomenal!) with a beautiful ambiance. I dined off the happy hour and Miami spice menus. The reason for the 4 star rating was the Miami spice menus fell short in my opinion. The main course fish needed a little bit more flavor and the pavlova dessert was overwhelming and a lot. I would go back for the happy hour menu, where I absolutely loved the sushi rolls. I would also go back to check out the regular menu. Be sure to check it out and enjoy!

Friendly service, well trained. Talented Thursday night show. They also had a hand roll special today that was $27 for three. A great deal when you're talking crab, lobster and toro. If you make it early, you can enjoy the happy hour which boasts both food and a selection of drink options. Quality place with great design, show, food and service. I would recommend and return!

    Special desert brought to us.

The food was absolutely incredible. We got the Shrimp Tempura, King Crab, and Mushroom Kimchi Noodles along with the "3 Peaks" sake. All of the food was delicious. We almost went back the next night because we enjoyed it so much. The service was also excellent with the sommelier providing great comments as we made our sake decision.

Really great food. Loved the cucumber salad and the sea bass. The pineapple rum cake was also great. Service was not great though. They didn't check in to refill water, etc. regularly, and it was really slow and hard to get the check and pay. Getting dessert was also slow. Nice atmosphere with the pool and at night they do have some little performances. They also have a DJ which I think later at night might be too loud and annoying.

japon shares the same space as jaya, where the beautiful center courtyard is split in half between jaya and japon. there is some indoor seating where the vibe is less chaotic, but i dont necessarily recommend the restaurant for the food alone. it is a nice thurs, fri, or sat night plan if you want some loud music, but dont want to actually go to a club. the miso black cod was great, the salmon sashimi was pretty good, though all their sushi comes dressed in sauces, so dont expect a traditional experience with their sushi.

I had the opportunity to eat here inside of the beautiful Setai during art Basel weekend. First when you walk in the ambiance is just amazing. It is very aesthetically pleasing. We had the first reservations of the night at 6pm. We were greeted and seated promptly. For the food I had the shrimp tempura sushi. And the salmon dish. The food was amazing. This is a spot you for sure have to visit when you are in town

Stepping into Japón feels like entering a sensory masterpiece. The experience begins at the entrance, framed by a dramatic torii gate, before revealing a lush courtyard adorned with a custom mosaic crane--iconic of Japanese grace and good fortune. Inside, the design dazzles: undulating wooden ceilings, gold-leaf accents, vintage woodblock art, and ambient paper lantern lighting transport you into another world.

The satai did it again! Loved my experience at Japon, really friendly staff and a beautiful small restaurant. The good was good, i honestly thought that it was going to be better but since it was miami spice I can't complain. Overall I had a great time!

Sushi Bichi is an answer to much of what ails the restaurant field in Miami. Unpretentious, vibey,…read morewarm, incredible value, great food. Everyone on the staff was smiley, friendly and helpful. The Happī Hour menu stands out as one of the best values in the area. I had 2 Classic Mojitos, Shrimp Cocktail, Lumpia Shanghai Roll, Pinoy BBQ Skewers and Kurobuta Corn Dogs from the Happī Hour menu. From the full menu, I had Salmon Tiradito, and the Chocolate Smores Cake a La Mode for dessert. Standouts for me were the Salmon Tiradito which had a beautiful presentation. It comes plated like a work of art with gooseberry, fresno chili, annatto oil, mustard oil, sea salt, white nikirisoy aioli. Wish I had taken a photo. This is the only place I ever order corn dogs (and I ALWAYS order them here) which are made with a Japanese sausage and come with a special spicy mustard that gives it an interesting, gourmet kick. Don't go heavy on the mustard if you're sensitive to spice. Hot! I am told the Chocolate Smores Cake a La Mode is inspired by the owner's son, and it is magnificently-plated and delicious. This is not the campfire version of S'mores. This is the haute cuisine version. You cannot beat Sushi Bichi on quality of food and experience for the price, especially during the Happī Hour which runs 4-6:30pm. You can walk onto the beach after your meal, if you'd like. It's right there. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Parking tip: there is a large public lot on Collins Avenue around the corner that I've always found a spot in. Short walk to Sushi Bichi.

Food was 10 out of 10. Fresh, flavorful, balanced. Subtle and yet popped. The Sazeko roll (I think…read moreit was) was our favorite. The cilantro cream was a perfect touch. So good that we had to order a second roll. This is also the perfect opportunity to try some prime fish cuts, like otoro and chutoro. Ughhhh it melts in tour mouth. Octopus was also really great! Rainbow roll was also great. We also got the oyster mushroom skewer and the eggplant skewer. Eggplant skewer absolutely outshined the other one. Totally get the eggplant. Dessert was great! Matcha tres leches was a stunner. Mochi came with 4 flavors, banana, passion fruit, mango, and birthday cakes. Best was birthday cake and banana. Ralph was our server. Great presence. Down to earth. Seemed to be having a great time! Also this place qualified for the chase sapphire reserve $150 dining credit. And this place is absolutely worth raking up a bill!

The acrobatic shows began at 8:00 p.m., with additional performances at 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. The acrobat was graceful, mesmerizing, strong, and sexy. When we made our reservation, we also asked for a table with a good view of the show, and they accommodated us with a fantastic front-row view from one of the couches. It was so much better than our previous visit, when we were trying to peer around a pillar and across the restaurant to see the performance. If seeing the show is important to you, I definitely recommend requesting a table with a good view when you make your reservation. Before the show the DJ plays music. The volume was at a good level, loud enough to be fun but soft enough to be able to hear each other talk. Although the restaurant initially feels like an indoor space, the central courtyard is actually open-air with overhead coverings, so there is plenty of fresh air while still feeling sheltered. Tall palm trees, pools of water, couches, and traditional dining tables create a beautiful and distinctive atmosphere. Overhead fans kept the temperature surprisingly comfortable despite the Miami heat. For Miami Spice, we had the tuna tacos, miso branzino, and Milk Tea for dessert -- jasmine green tea crème brûlée with honey tea jelly and lychee sorbet. Dining at Jaya was one of the highlights of our trip to Miami. Delicious food, great service, a beautiful atmosphere, and wonderful entertainment made it much more than just dinner. We were very glad we came back.

It's a buffet-style brunch where you go through sections and pick out what you want. They had traditional breakfast options-eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes, fruit, and pastries to lunch/dinner options- burger, fries, chicken, lamb, sushi, pad thai, fried rice, and much more. They also had a dessert station which included- crepes, bread pudding, macaroons, various cakes, and the most delicious cinnamon rolls that we've ever had. The food was delicious! The ambiance was incredible. It is outdoors so you will need to prepare for the elements. We also had live music while we were there. Service was pretty great in the beginning, very attentive, but you could tell when the restaurant was starting to get busier, which meant our server was occupied for longer periods of time. It took us some time to get our server to bring the check. It's a 2-hour dining experience that you pay $110/person plus the 20% service charge but we ended up getting shuffled out about an hour and a half into it. I'm assuming she was the manager who was directing other staff to "get these people out of here" to our table and the surrounding tables next to us. Which the tables next to us sat after us, so they were there for even less time. So aside from the older woman, who I assume was a manager, everything else was great!
