Halibut and chips were outstanding, very fresh and light crispy coating. The waitstaff and hostess were very friendly and helpful. They didn't make us feel rushed. The ambiance is average, but everything was clean and fresh. Music wasn't too loud as is often the case in many pub eateries. My girlfriend and I have been here 3 times since they have opened. We love it so much that it has been tough to decide between coming here and our usual hang outs. Every time we have gone, we sit at the bartop and chat with the bartenders. The drinks are amazing, and the food has been top notch. Everything that they make (to our knowledge) is fresh in house. The first night we were there, we both ordered the pasta, and they had to make the noodles first because they ran out of noodles. They were very communicative about the delay since they ran out and it was fresh made. It was definately worth the wait! We have chatted with the owner a few times, as well as the General Manager Travis who has come around every time that we have been there to make sure that our experience was top notch. So far, we have tried the Steak Pesto Pasta, Spicey Chicken Alfredo, the Korean BBQ Ribs, side salads, Chicken Noodle Soup, and the Spinach Artichoke Dip. All have been incredible. read more

They started serving breakfast. I thought I'd give them another chance after almost a year. I shouldn't had. I received a dirty cup with my hot tea water in it. My omelette was more like a scramble and the cheese was chewy but the hashbrowns were perfect. They said the toaster burnt my toast and they were remaking it. I was done eating and then I was told they we're checking on my toast. At that point I said that I no longer wanted my toast. Then trying to check out and the wifi went out and they couldn't run my debit until it came back up. read more

We had dinner on Sunday April 28th. We have eaten here about half a dozen times. Tonights experience was a little lacking in both the food and service. It was not crowded at 5:00 pm. Both of us chose the meatloaf dinner. The only difference was that I had clam chowder and my wife chose a salad. She ordered a baked potato and I ordered mashed potatoes. My chowder was served to me first. I waited for a while expecting my wife's salad to come soon. After a while she asked for it and was brought out to her. The clam chowder wasn't that great. Tasteless potato soup. I added salt and pepper twice to the cup of chowder but lacked clams. Both entrees came out with baked potatoes. I mentioned to the server that I ordered mashed potatoes, but it didn't matter as I liked either so I told her I would just keep it. The only reason I went with mashed potatoes is I read in previous review that the baked potatoes taste old. Yes indeed. Baked potato tasted like a day-old potato and wasn't warm/hot. None of my meal was hot. Luke warm at best. We both enjoyed the meatloaf as the portion size was generous and tasted good. Service was just okay. As stated, it wasn't that busy. We had to ask for beverage refills. My empty chowder cup along with my wife's salad plate sat at the edge of the table until we left. Numerous times, other servers walked by our table and just looked. Not one was motivated to assist the other server's table. We still tipped 18%, but we normally tip 25%. I'm not thrilled leaving an average review as I personally begged Hank Jarboe numerous times to open up a Boston's Pub#2 in Canby. The servers are not like the servers at Boston's, who "gang" serve to give their customers excetional service. Here, they appear to be looking out for themselves and no teamwork for the good of the establishment. That service culture is 100% on management. It needs improvement big time. Tonight wasn't just a one-off night regarding the service. Sadly on a previous visit we had even a worse experience with service as the bartender had our table and when it got real busy no one stepped up to help her. We ended up not eating and had just drinks. I know we will return as we have supported Hank's businesses for decades. read more

The restaurant has been newly renovated and offered a large enough space for our group! Travis made every effort to work with us in planning a fun event. He has extensive experience in accommodating larger groups and he offered up ideas and choices all while keeping in mind our budget. We want to thank Travis and his entire staff. The food was good but the service was lacking. A young waitress was not very accommodating. She was "offended". We all were there to celebrate the passing of my granddaughter and she was "offended" by A word used. i will never go there again. It was a sad enough occasion to begin with but to add that was something else. read more

Best steak within 15 miles of Oregon City! I've been on a mission since I started at my new job to find a decent steak place nearby. So far pretty much everything in OC has been a total dud, but this is less than 15 minutes away, and is REALLY good steak. I had the Ribeye and it was well cooked, PRIME grade (no one else in the area serves Prime), and decently priced. Cocktails were great too. This is my new go to spot for long lunches! read more

1st time here tonight, seated right away right next to the kids game area, started out quite but at end of dinner it got loud with kids playing games. Or server was very good and pleasant, menu will give you good picks, my wife had halibut and was cooked perfectly, I just had a Caesar salad with chicken and it was OK. My wife had a cranberry/Tito's and it came in tall glass with more cranberry juice that she likes. Not sure if we will be back! not because of bad food but just a little noisy. read more

Been here twice with GREAT service both times but the food changed from the first time to the second. The first time we went it was all five, picky, members of our family. We had the chicken strip dinner , chicken sandwich , regular cheeseburger , chicken fettuccine, and due to inexpensive price my daughter had both the kids chicken strips and hamburger meal. The WHOLE family LOVED all their food and that is a hard thing to do even at home! The fries were delicious along with everything else! We all really loved the chicken strip's especially! The second time we came it was just two of us and we both ordered the chicken strip dinner and a dinner salad. The salads are delicious but what happened to the chicken strips(pictured)! First off the size was a little smaller then the previous ordered children's portion. That wasn't the issue though, the chicken strips were basically big gas station type chicken nuggets. Maybe they ran out or something else not sure what happened but we were super disappointed! We will still come back and still very much recommend this place especially for family dining! read more

Jarboe's Grill is Canby's newest restaurant from Hank Jarboe and Travis, located where the former Spinning Wheel aka Wranglers aka Route 44 Roadhouse was. It's remodeled interior allows lots of seating options including outside. There is a huge happy hour menu with unique options served daily, and the dinner menu has ample choices. My favorites so far are the baseball steak (order medium if you want medium-rare) -both hubby and I feel it's as good as Sayler's steaks (you don't get all the extras they have of course), or the halibut fish tacos (grilled - filled full!). Needs lots of work on the menu. An arcade in a restaurant seems in appropriate. It was noisy and the bright lights were annoying. Baked potatoes we had to ask for. And they were not ready. Plates could have used garnish and a vegetable. Food was Luke warm. Blue cheese dressing very tasteless. Doubtful the ball steak was prime. Our sweet waitress was clueless regarding her product. We were not asked if we would like an appetizer or cocktail. Also not asked about desserts. The bill was a cash register receipt (tacky). My lamb had good flavor and cooked perfectly, Although it was 4 chops and very little meat for 34 dollars. Will wait for some time to pass and hope Hank can work out the bugs. I commend him for his efforts. Think about adding oysters, perhaps 1/2 of a chicken, lamb shanks not rack, loaded baked potatoes, cobb salad, and bread of some kind. read more

I tried this place the other day and it was eh. I got the Cajun chicken sandwich and it had no flavor was very dry and the tomatoes were mushy and it was so cold the cheese didn't even melt on it. The staff was nice and the drinks were amazing.!! The chicken Alfredo was not traditional it almost tasted like a stroganoff with chicken, but I will say the flavor was good, and they put a lot of chicken in it. The staff also seemed confused at times, but they are new so I give them a pass and they we're nice! If anything go for the drinks and don't order the chicken sandwich. read more

Jarboe's Grill is back in Canby! I went with a friend on Friday night around 5:45pm, we walked in and while we had to look around to find the host station we were told the wait would be about 20 minutes. There was ample seating for the wait. My friend went to get us drinks and in that time we were seated at our table. Ksenia was our server. It felt like she was only assigned to our table, the service was over-the-top great! It was apparent that Hank (owner) and Travis (Restaurant Mgr) took time to educate their staff with tasting the menu prior to opening. Then there was the food. We shared the Artichoke Spinach dip which was so very missed in Canby! I had the Teriyaki salad where the dressing didn't drown the veggies, chicken was flavorful. My friend had the Chicken Alfredo and almost licked the plate clean. We wanted crème brûlée and cheesecake but we were full. Can't wait to return and try other entrees and maybe dessert. read more

Ventured in here for the first time and am so glad we did!The service was wonderful & the staff so friendly!My baseball sirloin was cooked to perfection, broccoli was done just right, mashed potatoes divine.The burger had the essential & delicious smokey/char-broiled taste....and don't forget the in-house made blue cheese & ranch dressings!!!!
