The restaurant was busy for a Saturday evening, but we were able to get a reservation earlier that afternoon with no problem. Our party shared a combination of happy hour appetizers and full dinner entrees. The dishes were innovative and unique, and tasted amazing. The mussels in jalapeño cream were particularly delicious and something I want to return for. After dinner, we opted to take the pumpkin cheesecake home. We stopped in during their early happy hour. The menu has so many options. We chose tacos off the happy hour menu and then had sandwiches for lunch. The taco had a bbq flavor mixed in a birria type seasoning. It was ribeye and the meat was tender but the sauce was unusual for my taste. The Cuban sandwich was my choice. It had large slices of pork, more than I am used to eating. The bread was thick. The bar area was dark almost lounge like. Seats at the bar were available. Service was good. Our server was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

It used to be such a great experience to show what life was like for slaves and owners.
