Jarvis auto repair was recommended to me by a very good friend of mine. I have an older explorer with a bunch of small stuff that I needed fixed. Doorknobs, 4 of them just broke due to old age. I had to crawl in the truck from the back, lol Smdh! I purchased all the equipment but could only afford to get 1 fixed. If you didn't know, a door handle repair is a pretty pricey repair, oddly enough. Jose, decided to make me his holiday help a person out recipient for the year!!! What does that mean ? EXCELLENCE! I cannot express the level of relief and elation I experienced through #JarvisAutoRepair. After three years, four (4) garages, and months of it sitting with various mechanics... they found and fixed what other highly rated repair shops could not. Our 2010 Mazda 3 had a parasitic drain that four prior garages could not identify. At one point it sat with one garage for a full month (its our spare car). However with Jarvis, they were able to diagnose and locate the problem within a day and a half. It took a while for parts to come in, but the fact that they found the issue, ordered the parts, and fixed it was HUGE! I brought in my Cadillac XTS to have the upper and lower front grill replaced with an OEM grill I had purchased. They did an amazing job and best of all, they made sure the job was done right. The grill looks amazing and I am happy I took it here vs any other shop bc you can see they pay attention to detail and want to make sure you leave their shop 100% satisfied. My experience with Jarvis Auto Repair. I came here to fix my transmission and the work he did for the price was well worth it but it came with some miscommunication. We had one of the workers if we can pick our truck a couple minutes after the shop closed and they agreed. They said to call "Jose " the shop owner when we are 20 minutes away . I called him at exactly 5:30 and he completely turned off his phone so it was damn near impossible to get a hold of him . I took him 1 hour 40 min to respond to us. My engine was starting to sound like a ping pong ball bouncing on a table or like a card in the spokes of a bicycle. I had to work and my schedule isn't conducive to arriving to mechanics at a decent hour. Desperate because I finally got off a little early I google mapped on my way home and found this place on the way. I made it around 30 minutes before closing which as most of you know is not a good time to show up as a walk-in for a car repair. Jose was extremely nice and explained I may have to bring it back but they would look and try to see what was wrong. So turns out my oil was completely out and my engine stacking knocking because of that. He, thankfully, did not laugh at me and fixed the problem. Normally I am on top of all of my car issues and had taken my car to the dealership not that long before this for weatherstripping and they said they would do a check so I figured the oil was one of those main check points...sigh...anyway Jarvis Auto Repair is now going to be our family mechanic shop. read more

This place is aka Jarvis Auto Repair. I took my Ford Expedition in because I had all these crazy lights going off and would not shift out of first gear, which means one thing "man...this is going to be expensive". In fact, I think money was pouring out the exhaust as I coaxed it into the repair shop. Jose and Monica were very cool. I got a great deal on a transmission rebuild and the same guarantee from the Ford dealer for much much much less. I actually have to bring my car back in for some minor adjustments to the transmission, but something about this place is trustworthy enough that I don't mind. I know they'll take care of me. Fixed my 95 Seville Northstar head gasket problem pronto. I took this car to dealership and 4 other shops .... dealer wanted $9k to fix !! Other mechanics had no clue how to work on Northstar engines. Jose is a very experienced Cadillac man who really knows his stuff. He rebuilt my engine and fixed A/C and few other items - car runs like new. Love it. He showed me how fixing a Northstar engine properly is a technical specialty that only a few shops in the US can do competently. I had my Saturn serviced in another repair shop few months ago, and I ended up bringing it back 2 times and every time I got a new light blinking on my dashboard the day after (or the same day). Not to mention I had to wait 6 hours and the battery of my smartphone ran out after 2. Jarvis was great! Brought the car in the morning with screeching front brakes, a "service engine" light and another blinking indicator, and a leak - and they FOUND AND FIXED the root cause of the problem :-) Monica even walked me through their logical solution, and after few days still no leaks, no scary lights and the car is as good as new! I took my car to Jarvis based on a few personal recommendations from my wife's coworkers. I had a few issues I needed checked out to see how much it would cost to fix them. It's an older car and we don't want to put much more money into repairing it. Jose looked at my car that day and called me early the same night. He told me exactly what was causing the problems, how much it would cost, and that neither one was anything I had to fix immediately. I brought my wife's car here for some work after we bought it (used), and they charged less than half of what a dealership wanted AND they did more in terms of preventative maintenance than what the dealership was going to do. UPDATE! My husband has been a customer of Jarvis almost from the beginning of opening for the service of his 3 work vehicles, he has also recommended Jarivs to friends and family. This has just come to an abrupt end!! Most of the work performed where mostly oil changes and minor fixes. My vehicles were always thoroughly inspected, and most of the time we would get our bill with a written diagnosis of upcoming repairs that would require said repair. We do have older vehicles so this is to be expected, and understandable. One of the vehicles our 2000 Honda Odessey was given the diagnosis to have the transmission serviced a flush and refill. Another mechanic discouraged doing this... LES advised us to do it and we took his advise...the following week the transmission failed, and was no longer repairable. This was a big blow to us!!! A self employed Driver, struggling financially and health wise, this was a big big Hit. (Have since had 2 surgeries and my wife has also had major surgery.) LES offered for us to buy his 2002 Honda Odessey, which his own mother used and also was a repair loaner vehicle. He's a mechanic and assured us it was in good condition, he did all the work himself, so what could be questionable, we trusted him and bought it!! A few things were noted and were repaired however rather reluctantly. We immediately discovered and tried to address some other concerns such as:: 1. a smell that was coming In the car when the vent was on, burning our eyes and making us cough. He dismissed our concern stating nothing was wrong. 2. The engine seemed to jump upon being started, LES said the car had always done this, again saying nothing was wrong! HUM?? Well, we were forced to have some of these repairs done it cost almost 600.00 and that was at a discount somewhere else and the vehicle still needs the oils pan and leak fixed but too expensive of a job for us to do. That was the horrible smell causing fumes in the car. This was what we questioned in the very beginning!!! Surprise the engine jumping was a broken motor mount and CV joint again, we said this in the beginning but were ignored!!!! We are a small business and are forced to attempt to save money when possible, as stated struggling. Customer beware!! read more
