First meal at Jashan was highly-anticipated due to the dearth of great Indian cuisine in the Nashville area, and on most counts it delivered. Mumbai Manhattan drink was excellent. Food could have been served hotter, and service could have been more efficient, but the basics we ordered as a litmus test for Indian cuisine (tandoori chicken and Lamb Korma) were tasty and very good. The best Indian food of my life. They have a lobster served atop mashed potatoes. The chicken masala is so good. Solid 6/5 for customer service, just plain exceptional. Good god the owner Akki who we know from Sindoor as well, is just wonderful. He even got the kitchen to make an aloo paratha for my friend who wanted to eat it, an item that wasn't even in the menu. The cocktails were exceptionally good- Dhua Dhua which is a cardamom infused old fashioned, and the Manhattan. We loved all the starters (vegetable samosa, cauliflower Kung Pao and maggi ramen); flight it pani puri was ok. Malai paneer, veg biryani in entree was ok. Paneer Kurma and garlic naan was good. Loved the Gulab jamun (I think the coconut flakes are not necessary). Everyone in the table liked the cardamom brownie with chai ice cream (I'm not a fan of these in general). Overall the experience was amazing. Moments where you are laughing throughout and feeling good every second are rare to come by, thanks Jashan for being the venue for that. read more

This is one of the best Indian restaurants in Nashville. We went on a Sunday afternoon, right as they were opening but well attended to a great staff. Bottomless mimosas were a great addition to the amazing food. I picked up take out 55 minutes before they closed. It was a definite upgrade in the Indian we usually eat (We are tourists.) Everything had a lovely unexpected extra spice note. For example, I think there might have been cardamom in the samosa filling. The samosa crust was flavorful and extra flaky. The kids got chicken tikka and butter chicken, both were well above average. One of my new favorites! I met a friend for lunch at Jashan and loved it! We started with indian Chai and Samosas which were perfectly cooked and flavorful. Next we had the "buffet plate" where you get all of the variety without having to get up and figure it out yourself. The ones the got my attention the most were the small bites because they combine american dishes that I love with Indian flavors that I prefer. We ended up getting everything that caught our attention and we were not disappointed. Yes, there are other Indian restaurants in Nashville but Jashan really provides a unique experience. I highly recommend you try the following: 65 Boa Lamb Birria Tacos Lamb Korma Sliders Garlic Naan Note: These are small bites (we didn't come with a big appetite). Since we really liked the Lamb Korma, the Korma entree would be something we would get when we go back, as well as the Lamb Rogan josh (because they do a great job with Lamb!) I visited Jashan around noon on a Sunday which is when restaurants are typically very crowded around Nashville. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I was seated immediately. I ordered the seasonal non-vegetarian lunch plate which contained a great variety of Indian cuisine I had never tried before. The portion sizes were very filling for the price point, so you'll definitely be getting your money's worth ordering similarly. The staff were very attentive throughout my whole visit making sure that my glass never emptied!The cool, modern, Indian chic of this restaurant, is a wonderful addition to the Nashville fine dining scene. Visited Jashan for dinner on my business trip to Nashville. After 4 days of local BBQ and jerk chicken, I was craving some masala, so I looked up a few places and chose Jashan. It did not let me down, tried simple basics like Garlic Naan and butter chicken both were well done, balance of tang and cream in butter chicken. I also had malai kofta, which was very nicely done with dry fruit inside kofta, and gravy was thick and creamy. The only issue I would knock down was that the food wasn't as hot as I would have liked, May be it sat on the counter before coming out, but that is easily corrected. The food was delicious. Our server was incredible. He listened attentively, repeated our order and was on top of things overall. The samosa chaat app was very good and the Bao was spicy in a good way and also amazing. Korma sliders were also quite good.
