Bombay Palace is an iconic staple of not just good authentic Indian food in Nashville, but also phenomenal service! When dining-in, every table automatically gets a tray of condiments to complement the complimentary serving of Papadums. The menu boasts a huge variety of North Indian dishes that will satisfy even those with the most restrictive dietary needs. Pescatarians, Lacto-vegetarians, Vegans or if you have non dairy requirements can all be met easily with modifications. A dish that I've fallen in love with at Bombay Palace is known as Chicken Methi. The Methi (Fenugreek leaves) gives a distinct flavor and the creaminess makes the dish just melt in your mouth. If you prefer non cream based dishes, there are coconut cream or even cashew based curries that you can request. A meal is not complete without an order of Naan which is a type of bread that is cooked in a tandoor oven. Depending on your preferences, you could try just plain, butter, chilli or Garlic Naan which is my favorite! Bombay Palace is also known for their Lasso which is a yogurt based cooling drink to wash down the spicy dishes. Try their Mango Lassi and you can't be disappointed! Ending the meal with Gulab Jamun which are fried balls of dough soaked in a sugary solution is the perfect desert in my opinion. I must add that despite the awesome quality of food you get at Bombay Palace, it's nothing compared to the service of the wait staff! If you ever get to be served by Manish or Rinku, then you'll understand that you must bring your A-game to join in the playful banter that awaits their regular customers. You won't regret making Bombay Palace a regular pit stop. Guaranteed!

I really enjoy their Indian buffet and getting to explore different North Indian dishes. Lunch is easy with walk in and load up. The naan could be better but the butter chicken and other staples are solid enjoyable and flavorful. Very convenient to 440.

The menu is so extensive and every dish is just beyond flavorful. I've both dined in and gotten take out/delivery, and each time it just HITS. The inside of the restaurant is also really cute and red and neat. Here's what I've tried: Malai Kofta: 10/10 - The curry is sweet, spicy, very thick, and flavorful. The balls of cheese and vegetables are soft on the inside, and well cooked. This is such a great vegetarian dish and I HIGHLY recommend it. Chicken Cashmere: 9.5/10 - The curry is super creamy and flavorful, and even a bit sweet. It's very similar to the Malai Kofta, except there is a little bit less depth of flavor and the texture is smoother and less thick. This is a great option if you want some good protein. Chicken Curry: 7.5/10 - I enjoyed it, but I prefer creamier, richer Indian dishes. This was super flavorful though so if you want something less heavy it isn't a bad choice. Garlic Naan: 10/10 - Always get garlic naan over normal naan. It's just so much better. The naan is fluffy, and smothered with a beautifully aromatic garlic butter. Kachumber Salad: 8/10 - I always order this just so we can have some greens. They're diced up peppers, cucumbers, and tomatoes in a light vinaigrette. very fresh, and a really good way to break up the heaviness of the rest of the meal. Chicken Tikka: 8/10 - This is not Tikka Masala, this is boneless chicken marinated and then cooked in the Tandoor. You get a LOT of chicken, and personally, my favorite part are the nice almost caramelized onions that come underneath the chicken. Nicely spiced, but I do think that if you go to Bombay, you should get a curry, as just chicken can get dry/boring. Lachha Paratha: 8/10 - Really good Paratha! I just think naan has a better texture and is more flavorful, but the paratha here is nice and flaky. My family also really likes their Papadum and their Tandoori Chicken. You can customize your spice level with pretty much any dish, just let them know!

Great food and service! I absolutely love the chicken tikka masala - the sauce is just perfection. It is super creamy and goes well with the white chicken bites, which was juicy. I got medium spice, which wasn't spicy at all. I haven't found another sauce like this on their menu but I would love to try a similar sauce to it. As a side, I got the garlic naan and that was fresh and good. I would recommend getting the naan to dip into the sauces. I got a Mango lassi and it was fresh as usual. Beware this may fill you up before your meal haha! For parking, they have a small lot in front but a bigger lot behind it that may be hidden.

I ordered a bunch of food from Bombay Palace to go and although I know it does not travel well, I must say I was a bit disappointed by the lack of flavor. The flavors and spices in the chicken tikka Marsala were so bland. I also ordered the veggie pakora which was good, but again lacking in spices and flavor. The cauliflower with the hot sauce was again lacking in flavor. I made the mistake of ordering the samosas that come in the yogurt and sauces and I wish I did not do that. The samosas would've been better on their own. I will try to check them out in person but overall.. I have to say I just wish they would put more flavor and spice in their foods.

Amazing food, great service, smells amazing as soon as you walk in, we came in a little late and they were so nice to us! A good serving size as well.

We love Indian and we were in the area to check out. The service was a bit slow and the food was pretty good. The Shahi paneer really tasted like green peppers which was odd for me as I have had this a lot of places and expected a different taste. The other dishes were about what you expect. We do not live in the area so would not be back. Maybe we would check out other indian restaurants to try the variety Nashville has to offer on our next return.

I first came here over 20 years ago. It's a Nashville staple. Not much has changed with the decor, which makes it even more special.

Authentic Indian food in Nashville, the food tasted great and we loved the chai so much we had to go back next day for it. Worth a try.

She literally slammed everything used in the process and mixed it with the worse attitude. She also mistreated her coworkers and raised her voice enough we could heard her on the other side of the kitchen. AWFUL. I speak Spanish and she wasn't saying very nice things to them. Other than that the food was still good but we ordered it to stay there and was presented with plastic to go containers, not what we expected. She made it so unpleasant to be there and enjoy. That was her way to say "get out and don't stay". All we wanted was a quiet dinner and enjoy our time.

The lady who helped me with my order was amazing - she guided me through the menu, let me know her favorites and made my lunch break experience so simple! I ordered the Kathi Roll with Butter Chicken, Dal Makhani, Pork Bites and a Masala Chai for the extra cherry on top! Each meal was delivered in a fresh new way from traditional Indian restaurants I've tried in the past. I fell in love! Where do I begin?…read more Our first visit to Chauhan Ale & Masala House was nothing short of exceptional. Since we'd never been before (from Oklahoma), we had lots of questions, and our server was phenomenal-patient, knowledgeable, and full of thoughtful recommendations that made the entire experience even better. We started with the Gol Guppa Shots and Asparagus Fennel Chaat, and from the very first bite we knew we were in for something special. Every dish was beautifully plated, bursting with bold Indian flavors and creative combinations that kept surprising us. The Tamarind Lamb Chops paired with the vindaloo curry were outstanding. The vindaloo was perfectly balanced-just enough heat to remind you it's there without overwhelming your palate, allowing the depth of flavor to shine. The Chicken Kabob with the Short Rib French Onion Naan was equally unforgettable. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and we finished by sharing the Gulab Jamun Cheesecake before sipping Chai-Spiced Espresso Martinis that were simply amazing. Every plate was colorful, every bite delivered exciting layers of flavor, and every recommendation exceeded our expectations. This wasn't just dinner-it was an experience. If you're looking for bold flavors, inventive cuisine, exceptional cocktails, and genuine hospitality in Nashville, Chauhan Ale & Masala House is an absolute must. We'll definitely be back.

I ordered the salmon coriander and despite asking for spicy, it was not flavorful, though perfectly cooked with a nice char. I asked for chutney and hot peppers to spice it up and unbeknown to me, I was charged 12 dollars to properly spice my meal. The sauce base I chose was goan and the shrimp base sauce was korma which tasted the same. The butter chicken appeared to have red food color.
