From start to finish: My appointment was at 10:30, my stylist (the owner) Victoria was 10 minutes late. The decor is that Tiffany blue with some Hepburn prints and comfy chairs. She listened to how I wanted my hair cut, the color I was aiming for and the quirks of my hair. My bangs look great & she took a good amount of bulk out. She rinsed, detangled and conditioned my hair. My color matches my skin tone wonderfully. The only thing I didn't love about the end of my services was that a blow dry wasn't included with my color. Which just doesn't seem safe or practical for color, because its impossible to judge how evenly the color took when my crown was dry and the rest of my hair was wet. Overall, Victoria was nice and did a great job where it mattered - on my hair.

I went to the website and was able to make an appointment for his newest location (in Hyattsville) in a matter of minutes. Parking was easy as there was ample street parking right in front of the shop (Meter parking that is, so make sure you've got cash that jingles!). The shop, although small, was very trendy. I loved the exposed brick and decor. There looked to be about 4 stations for barber/stylists, which I also loved because I hate being in overly crowded (overly loud) shops. It was a perfect fit. Wade was prompt and didn't have a long line of people waiting to get in his chair. Once he finished the guy who he was currently in his chair, he was ready for me. This is EXTREMELY important for me, because as someone who truly values their time, I hate to have to wait long periods of time when I already have an appointment. And time is not something that all barbers/stylists value of their customers. Once I sat in Wade's chair, I told him (kinda, sorta) the look I was going for. Even though I wasn't 100% able to describe it, he nailed it. I was completely satisfied with my cut there. I'll definitely be back again. They were wrapping up service on my family member and I'm going to pay. The owner? gets an attitude and tells me they didn't include the wash in the price. I looked at the lady who gave me the quote and she said nothing. I point out to the owner that wasn't included in the price her employee gave me. She said well that the price. Pause It would be good customer service to just let me pay the price quoted. I'd been there several times before so I was a regular. Welp The owner didn't see it that way. I usually don't do much with my hair but I wanted a change and decided to get highlights for the first time. Naturally I was really nervous because I love my hair and I don't want it to look crazy. I am latina and have naturally dark brown hair. Latoya talked to me for about 30 minutes and we looked at pictures together of what I wanted to aim for. I appreciated this so much since it was my first time!!! I have gone back to her several times to keep my highlights updated and to get haircuts. I love it!! She does great work!
